I was a AT soldier some years ago, i was carrying a LRAC 89mn with only one munition ready to fire, my 'magazine-man' was carrying 2-3 rocket. 300m was the maximum range for moving target, but 500m is ok for stationary target (not a windows, but a bmp or an old tank, yes). And +500m for anti-personal rocket (area fire, lethal radius = 20 meters) The time to shoot is not very fast, you must always appreciate the distance and measure the speed if moving target. The rocket speed is very slow if you compare to a rifle. For a 50km/h moving target at 300m, you should aim 14m in front, like wild partridge hunting. I'm agree that the animations in arma are to slow, but after a shot, i wasn't able to shot immediately with a rifle. Reason ? The big back blast on your shoulder ! You've got a thunder behind you and the ass of a rocket in front off you. After a shot, my face was plenty off residues of powder from the rocket booster ! In Arma, i prefer moving behind something just after a shot (a wall or a tree), and after i change or reload my weapon. But no time to see my rocket impact.

Great job NWD, just 3 questions : - Is there any way to see in game if the NWD_Ballistics mod is enabled ? I think I've made a good install but the M24 range cards is not accurate (>1,5m at 500m). - Same question for the NWD_SightAdjustmentPlugin; what are the modifications ? Doesn't seem to be enabled for me. Is there any way to be sure that the mod is enabled ? By a script testing the presence of your mod ? - The NWD_ScopeFix is OK for me, easy to check But the reticle is not focused for me. Your's screenshots show good focused reticle, how ? The M24 Mil-dot scope (and the binocs) is now accurate for distance evaluations !! Thank you

You should have all the files in the folder : C:\\blabla..\Arma\@GMJ_SightAdjustment\Addons\ -
No more Freezing since i use -maxmem=512 -maxmem=1024 was too big (i've got 2 gig ram). More access to hard drive, but that just sound, no fps drop for me.

Really great tool !!! The first time i used it, it thought i was ... god ! The second time, i was playing a RTS game. How do you use the commandline option ? I can't write command in the text box. can someone help me ?

Tank you gmJamez, This is a great ADDON that add lot of realism in Arma. - I've make a Range Card (M24) with 0.2 version (will share it), should i make another one for the 0.3 version ? - I try it with a AT M136 but i doesn't see any change. This would be great if your addon can correct the sight elevation of the M134 ! - I can't use it in the mission EvolutionSP. loading a saved game give a me CTD. and thanks again for my first 'arma must-have addon' ! -

During a French-Russian army exchange in 96, I've seen Russian paratroopers (51st from Tula) cleaning their AK by pushing it in the ground, cannon downward to fill it with sand/mud 'ground in French'. I'm still impress how a gas-operating rifle can resist to this torture Edit : Welcome in the army

I've got two examples : The Canary island : the two sides are really different, it depend of the dominant winds. One shore is desert (moon style) and the other side is jungle. Corsica (for me, the best Mediterranean place): One time in October, I've made a morning snowboard session and a surf session the afternoon. And without any 'diving suit' !!! You can find palm trees and fir trees separate by 25km only.

In the editor, put an AI at 5 meters in front of you. The AI must face 90° than you, you see his profile. The AI react only when he turn the head to your side. That prove they didn't see at 360°. When you are in his back, AI react to the first move, not before. You can try many experience like put you and an enemy each side of a wall. I didn't feel to have the same game than certain other author from this topic. Am i alone ? Not happy with AI decisions ? Scripts it !! Have you test the Group Link II Script ArmA and others ?

@vilas, tank you but didn't ask for a CV. with the muzzle flash ,the smoke and the dust in prone position, i'm not so sure as you.And "a man from 30 meters shoots [...] and he is behind tree" He shoot through the tree ? i understand you but i think that "eye sensitivity" is not too big in ARMA like you said.

Sound -> direction, SVD smoke -> position. People was complain that Ofp's AI didn't react when you shoot them. I prefer the way Arma do. Don't you think that crawl in OFP was realistic ? We don't talk about the same army. In mine, It's more than 5/10 accuracy at 300m after 5 day of training."Soviet light arms" uses 7,62 and is effective up to 500m. AI shoot many times, this increase the probability of hit. OTAN forces in Afganistan are engaged at more than 500m. The eye can not see a bird in a forest if he don't move. But with movement, it's really different. 1000 m for a man in a field and 300m in forest, 200m for a head movement didn't surprise me. According to Wiki, "a human can resolve distances of about 0.93 millimeters at a distance of one meter". For a 1.8m tall man, this make more than 1900m. (576 megapixels ) On a road or concrete ok, but in forest and dry conditions, you can hear a fox (the king of discretion for me) walking over 100m with dead foliage. I've made a lot of approach training (enough to have bleeding bend), and believe me, that not so easy that in Ofp.If "i am hiden after tree" + "they cannot see me", i can not understand how you can "shoot one," In game you can see AI at more than 1000m, more than 500m when they crawl. But AI shouldn't see you ? Who's cheating ? And why does a calm and long approach work in Arma ? In the game Lock On, the super AI feel you even if he can not see you, i don't feel this in Arma.
