Every time I try to download this file I am forced to downlaoad a .exe from a site I am comfortable with. Please provide a alternative we are more comfortable with fore a down load.

German Version Intel Quad Core Q9450 2.66 GHz EVGA NVIDIA 295 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Ram Vista Ultimate 64bit 1920 by 1200 Resolution Immersion Factor: Overall the immersion factor is excellent. The Campaign is well done, and feels more like your are involved in a real campaign / mission. Also the town buildings and layouts, are much better than Arma, and do convey a real feeling of being in a Eastern Europe / Russian Town / City. Graphics: For the most part pretty good. However the HDR is not perfect, and get shinny buildings and cars. Plus there are times when the bluring is just annoying. Would like to see the ability to turn of the post process effects, and hope the HDR is fixed in future releases. The AI: Mixed feelings here. When playing Civil War CTI, the Enemey Ai in town were great when in vehicles, but lifeless in fixed positions. If we can get all the Ai to be as agressive as the Ai were in the Trucks with DSHK / PK's, that would make for some real fun. I hope with a later patch, the Ai can be fixed, and become agressive, realistic Ai. (Right now it is so close) Performance: In this department the game was great. Both in Graphics and even MP. I think MP plays much smoother now, even with people with high pings. I used medium settings for graphics, and have had not issues, besides the HDR problem. Playability: The game is playable, but did feel like it is still in late beta stage. I would have to assume it is going to take two or three patches before all is perfected / polish This is a great game, with a great amount of flexibility. With good support this game, should end up being the best at what it was made to do. I look forward to the user missions that will come out, especially wants it gets released in UK / US. -

I think it is safe to say 1-8th would be interested in a 6 v 6. We are located in the US, and would like to get see some PvP here in the US.

Thanks for the reply. 1-8th Enjoyed the previous GWL pack and look forward to this one. I hope the F-18 from Franz is still in it. The dynamic rearm ability the F-18 has should be part of all Air and ground vehicles. I see that there is going to be GWL campaign, and have a question. This campaign looks like it will be a lot of fun, but I am not sure if I would be able to make every match. Is it is an issue if someone is unable to make all the matchs? Also I see you are going to use the Iraqi Modern Warfare Mod in the future. Great choice. The are working with ACE, and I remember many of the ACE people from the OFP WGL mod. Great group, and a great mod.

This sounds great, and I hope to attend. I tried to get the latest GWL pack, but once the link lead me to the Iceman filefront folder, it was empty. Are there any other links to get all the addons?

Also if we changed commanders, the Ai we had would not take downs, or any orders from the commander. I hope some of the bugs are fixed, because the 1-8th squad like what you are trying to do with the mission.

First just wanted to say, very nice work on the mission. Nice to be able to play on North and South now. So thanks for doing that. I have two questions. 1.) If you wanted to change default money, were can / how do you do that? 2.) To add a script to a vehicle, that you order from a factory how can one do that? ( I want to add the mando flares to aircraft for defense, and want to create a HMWWV with a stinger)

Nice work radical.ghost. This is a nice addon to use with coop missions. One idea to help with PvP maps, is allow it so you can turn off the addon scripts in the mission config. That way if a person makes a PvP map, they can set the mission to not allow the view distance scripts from you addon to work. Just an idea.

First I will post PC specs: AMD AM2 5000 CPU Nvidia 7950GT 512MB SLI (I have two cards 512 MB each) Driver Ver. 162.18 Motherboard Asus M2N32 WS Professional 4GB Ram ArmA 505 Games Now on Patch 1.08 Sound Card Creative Labs X-fi DirectX 9.0c Operating System Windows XP SP 2 with latest hotfix. 3 Hard drives Not sure were to start, because this is an odd issue. But I did not see a post on this, so if this is a duplicate I am sorry. I had to reinstall my windows XP this weekend, and after I installed ArmA, I was not able to run the game at all. I have both the 505 games and the Atari version, so I tried both and kept getting the "ArmA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" error. (I did not even get to the check boxes going accross the screen) Prior to reinstalling Windows XP I had this game running on this machine. However I did flash my bios and install the Creative X-fi card when I reinstalled windows XP. (I do wonder if the issue has to do with the X-fi card) I decided to run the patch for the 505 game version, but kept getting an "application is already running error". So I rebooted, but still got this error. Later after several hours, I went ahead and tried to patch again. (The 1.04 to 1.05 international patch) This patch ran, but towards the end it stated there was a problem with the Arma.exe file. I clicked ignore, and the patch finished. At this point, I was able to run Arma so I went ahead and ran the 1.08 international patch. Again towards the end, it stated there was a problem with the arma.exe file, but once I clicked ignore the patched finished. At this moment I am on patch 1.08, and I can get the game to play so far. (Have only joined one MP game, I have not tested anything else) However I have no clue what happened, or if it is really fixed. I plan to get the Queens Gambit expansion, but I do not have a warm fuzzy that my current version is stable. So does anyone have an idea what the problem really is, and what I should do about it? (I have installed some other games after this, and no issues getting them to install / play.)

All I can say is "Amazing"!!! Put it up on the 1-8th server last night, and played as an Engineer. What you did for the Medic and Engineer is amazing. Added another element of fun to the mission. It played smooth, and no real lag issues. What are the future plans if any? I would not mind seeing a version were we played as OPFOR instead. Also you have some great scripts, I hope you would consider releasing to the community as templates. So I hope you consider releasing these as individual templates - Rank System and what vehicles you can use per rank - Dialog for View Distance - Base Repair - Medic / Engineer Thanks for putting this out. It has added a great deal to ArmA. Bohemia should send you a thank you card.

need view distance sript /dialog for client

Does anyone have a good view distance script / dialog that is client based? I see it in evolution, but that has so much going on, I can not tell what is part of the view distance script /dialog and what is not. I just want to be able to stick this in a training mission, and be simple. People who are playing could go to an object while in game and select there view distance. I checked the forums, but did not see anything on a seperate script / dialog for view distance on a client. -

WarWolf, Thanks for the answering my post. I looked at your mission, and I see a script for view distance, but I am not able to get it to work. I just need something more like a basic template. I do appreciate you trying to help. -
Finally had a chance to try out ver .114 no addon. I put this up at the 1-8th Dedicated Server. I first want to say I do really like this. Plenty of action, which people like and want. Some changes / stuff I would like to see added. 1.) Weapons / Gear menu. Would like to be able to creat my own kit and save it. I honestly do not like the default kits. (I want my AT and ACOG) 2.) Add Dr_Eyeball Team Status Dialog. I have used in Evolution, and find it will only add to your mission. Some bugs I saw: - Had a player join West while game was in progress and he spawned in the water. - Had a player join East while game was in progress and he spawn at East Carozal, even though West had control of it. - While at the Main West Base Island, I saw AI spawning UH-60's and then fly west over the water and off the map. While I am sure the addons are great, I want to stay with no addons. I plan to keep the 1-8th Server Addon Free for now. It gets to confusing for people to join, and figure out what addons your server may be running. Keep up the good work, and look forward to future versions of this mission / map

I see that you have created . Do you have plans to combine your respawn dialog with it?Also would you consider adding the ability for a mission maker to had there one custome title / logo at the start of the mission, to prevent conflicts? Sorry to be a pain. Love the new Dialog Template you created, and the ability for view distance. -

I normally start my missions with the 1-8th logo. I tried to combine what I am doing, with your respawn dialog, and I get errors at the start. Here is what I put in my description.ext I have this line in the init.sqs The font="TahomaB14" seems to be in conflict with your dialogs. I no very little on dialogs, so if anyone knows what I need to do to clear up the conflict please help. It runs fine when I do not use your respawn dialog, (Your respawn dialog runs fine as well on its own) so it must be a conflict between the two. -

Well WGL was and still is a great Mod. Look forward to getting a chance to play Arma using the ACE mod. Are there any plans to have a league using this mod, like WGL did? WGL had some of the best C&H maps, and the league had some of the best squads. 1-8th Marines still likes to hang out and play with the WGL league guys. They are always welcome on our Server. Heck Strango, made some great WGL coop maps as well.
