Fn-p90, mossberg500, updated psg-1/psg-1 sd (v2.0)
rambozo replied to rambozo's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I appreciate the kind comments reguarding the model/optics of the p90 and mossberg. As far as accuracy we actually spent a bit of time testing the p90 and working on its "dispersion". You see we didnt want to make it too accurate because it has a high rate of fire and large magazine capacity. On top of that its more of a submachinegun than it is an assault rifle so it isnt going to be used for the same kind of things. Generally smgs arent nearly as accurate. and their effective range is a bit lower. We was simply trying to avoid creating a super weapon. As far as I can tell our accuracy is a bit low. But then it works for what its intended to. close range combat. I havent noticed it being as bad as you say. Â But we can look into it further. Perhaps we can see what others think. -

Isnt the shottie called a "Persuader" or something? Mossberg Persuader. Ah who cares.<span id='postcolor'> As these other guys pointed out the p90 is in reality quite small. And yes the mossberg in this config is refered to as a Persuader. But I am still not wrong in simply calling it a mossberg 500 because it is still a mossberg 500 reguardless of its configuration. And we decided to eliminate the iron sites on the mossberg all togeather. This is due to the fact that it has no buttstock. and sholdering the weapon is impossible. So for the sake of realism we took out the iron sight view. Later when I do the 590 I will give it a stock and ghost ring sights. Complete with bayonette lug and parkerized finish. So there ya go the reasoning -
Ok this should be ready for download here very soon. Expect to see both the mossberg, P90, and an updated psg-1.

Well Rasta has be tweakin the config. And I gotta say its pretty slick. Currently it shoots multiple pellets, has a mag cap of 8 rounds, and there are no ejecting brass. The only prob I see right now is that the reload time and reload sound are out of sync. Aside from that its nice. Also since this is a pistol grip version there is no scope view.
-
Yeah thats the problem we are having with the shotgun. We still have to figure out what we wanna do about the firing effect.
-
I actually do plan on doing a 590 with stock and ghost ring sights. It will come dont worry.

Here is some early screens of the P90 I started on today. Pretty much just have to tweak the model and slap on a skin.

Mossburgs and Remingtons are the worst brand of shotgun money can buy. That is my opinion on them, and I will stand by that. Pump actions are not as bad. But semi-auto's are hell. We took a Remington 1100 duck shooting once. It probably fired 75 rounds that day and jammed 12 times. Whereas my Beretta has never jammed. The only time it does Jam is when I try putting anything under 1oz (24gm) loads through it. Everything else it cycles fine. I don't know what planet your gun nut mate is on...<span id='postcolor'> Well his gun nut friend was refering to pump guns which generally dont jam. Ive never had a 500 actually jam on me. And my experiences with a 590 has been just as good. I can see where semiautos might have problems. But then we arent refering to semiautos. As far as I know the pump action remingtons and mossbergs are pretty good in the way of functionality.

Yeah I havent spoke to rob since then. I wonder what hes been up to.

However on a few occasions shells would simply fall out the bottom. As aposed to being chambered. I think its the fault of the little lever aperatus that lifts the shells to be chambered. Hopefully though I can get it ingame soon. Personally I dont have the tools so I rely on the other guys to do the importing and scripting stuff. I just model and skin em.<span id='postcolor'> you in DKM, rambozo? The model looks very proffesional, greaty job.<span id='postcolor'> Yeah Ive been with DKM since it was Night Lead.

Sorry for the double post. My browser messed up.

The mod team is currently working on rereleasing a more improved fal rifle. This is essentially the same gun aside from the fact that it will support rifle grenades and the model as been reworked/skinned. Its been reskinned using 4 256x256 resolution images. This should allow for a much more realistic looking skin. I actually used photos I took of my personal stg-58 rifle. Also we will be using more authentic sounds. All in all it should be a huge improvement over the first release. Here I have attached a few images. This is how the rifle should look in game. Please tell me what you think.
-
Me and the DKM boys are working on some small arms. Here is an ingame shot of the cz2000 I modelled/skinned. This is about ready for release. The FAL is still going through some work though. But it will be rereleased better than ever. FN Mag should be ready very soon aswell. Still need to skin that one. Lots of work goin on. Expect to see all kinds of new weapons.

Uh no the trees are not simply sprites. The tree trunks are polygonal.
-
Its definately not a bad technology. And it would be nice to see it implimented. And I say it would be good for the trees cause it wouldnt distort them. It would be one of the few places it would work well. And it should work well on the men to. I think that would be enough. Just to spiff the game up a bit. Would just have to be causious as to how its implimented. Because if it aint done right then you might as well not do it at all. truform can make stuff look ugly.
