About the larger maps. I frequently host maps for around 20 players, but there are issues with larger maps. Larger maps can have desync issues. You will see helicopters in one location, then pop up in another. There are many reasons to cause this: number of players, connect of each player, players computers, number of vehicles on map, Connection of server, speed of server (to include drives, memory, processor). For this reason, a lot of servers do not host large maps. Another reason, some of the servers admins are not updating with newer maps. Some admins only prefer smaller maps for coop or FF. I host larger maps, but I also prefer smaller maps. This gives me a chance to know the regulars better. If you would like larger maps, come to my server. Be sure to ask them to loadup: Quibblys_runway_madness. This map has over 60 vehicles, with vehicle respawn. Hope you have a good computer and a fast connection!!!!!!! Remember, it's not if you win or lose, but rather, did you destroy the enemy!!!! Quibbly Quibbly's Game Domain, Pure T-3 quibbly@quibbly.com To join from game, go to multiplayer, select remote. For those of you complaining about servers, why don't you host your own? I spend around $2000.00/month for the T3 and my server was around $2800.00. I'm doing this for the public so everyone can have a fun place to play. I run my own company, I do not have the time to admin the server 24/7. I have other admins, but they also have a job. If you really pay attention, it isn't the admins, it's the players. The idiots who can't figure out how to hit "Start", "Select", or "Ready. I can say my site has some cool admins and we are "Zero" tolerant on the people who can't figure out three simple buttons: start, select and ready. You have 5 seconds to make the proper selections..If you try to ruin the game for everyone by sitting around and doing nothing, we kick then ban. Getting back to the subject. If your unhappy with the public servers, feel free to host your own. If you would like to have fun, join up for some great CTF. Quibbly Quibblys Game Domain, Pure T-3 from game: ofp.quibbly.com

The chopper picture has been edited. That is not the real height. It really appears to be aroudn 180 feet. Copy the picture and edit with photoshop..you can see where it has been altered. Nice try!!! Quibbly

Fade is also a message you receive if someone tries to join the game with a "Warez" version. Anytime I see the "Fade" message, I ban the user's ID.

I have heard there is a cheat for the new version of OFP, but I have no clue what the cheat is? Is it a God mode, texture remover, wireframe mode, unlimited ammo? What gives? Quibbly, Quibbly's Game Domain, Pure T-3 Quibbly@quibbly.com someday: www.quibbly.com (when I write it)

Thank you Ondrej Spanel. I appreciate your open honesty with the questions. You represent BIS well! For everyone who likes a good CTF match, please come to my server around 7:00pm Central time to play on a new map I created. A few users did some beta testing with me and everyone seems to enjoy the map. It's a modification of Runway. Tons of vehicles with Vehicle respawn. Uses all of the new weapons (Aug etc..) This map includes airborne units as well. Hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day, Quibbly, Quibbly's Game Domain (yes, one day I'll have the time to create my website. I have a company to run and programs to write) quibbly@quibbly.com

Ok. Lets just end the subject here. Accept my apology OBiJuan, you just crossed me the wrong way. It also seems everyone went way off the subject. I just want information so I can continue to host a great server for everyone. This game is wonderful and has tons of potential. Not once have I degraded BIS, but only praise. I just feel information is not being processed for the public in a timely manner, nor do I feel the questions are properly being address by BIS. The answers should come from a representitive of BIS, not just someone saying what they "heard". Everyone have a wonderful day, God Bless, Quibbly Quibblys Game Domain, Pure T-3 quibbly@quibbly.com join directly: ofp.quibbly.com

Obijuan, I appreciate your comment, but We, the gamers and hosting companies, made this game what is it! Since your just a tech support person, you probably really do not have a large Networking/programming background. For me, I have a degree in Computer Science and I am a MCSE. I have created many business applications. When a company calls, and would like to speak with me, I talk. For the amount of money I have spent hosting this game for the gaming community, I'm entitled to a response. The response is needed to see if this game is going to be worth hosting much longer. Thanks again for your comment. Just go back to answering your telephone and reading answers out of your tech book!

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Although BIS/CM does support the community a lot, they seem to not really care about people like quibbly/radishville/fraghaus/etc who spend tons of money to make this game what it is. If they would just give a short answer to the question and not try to dodge it then people would be satisfied and wouldn't be so upset. I know if I hosted a server like these guys I would expect at least some response as to when the fixes would be available. I'm not trying to say they are doing a bad job but they certainly aren't doing the best. I for one am glad for all the updates they give us but some things are more important than new vehicles and things like that (ie. major bugs and thourough testing before releasing patches). And like quibbly said, why don't they make life easier for mission creators/scripters? I for one have seen many people have to do trial and error on many things without any help from BIS/CM. They are the people who bring new entertaining things to the game (which keeps it alive). And I will ask again WHY DON'T THEY RUN THEIR OWN PUBLIC SERVER? If they did they would actually find out the bugs that people experience and it would help them out. I know they have more than enough money to run at least one server that rocks if independent people can run them. How many companies do you know that don't even use their own product to it's fullest extent? <span id='postcolor'> Thanks 3dmushroom. You hit the nail on the head. I host the games because I want the gaming community to have a fun place to play. BIS should see this and give a proper response. I myself, spend $2000.00 a month on the T-3 and just dropped another $1700.00 on the server. This is only for a game in which I make no money from. At one point, if I can't get proper information from BAI, I will be pulling OFP from my server. I know a few other top servers who will be doing the same! Then, everyone will get to join up and play with someone hosting a game via their cable modem (wow, 2 players..isn't this cool?)

For those who answered, without being a jerk, thanks. For those who looked at the message, without really reading the message, pay a little more attention to detail. As a owner of the game, and a person how hosts a server (for free), I have a right to ask the above questions! Most of the questions I asked, BIS has not answered them all. It would be better if BIS would put a general answer to the questions on the website. Also, on the website, they should have more information (ie: tutorials). Most of the links we receive, the information is not always correct, or updated for the newest version. The forums are nice and I appreciate everything BIS has done for the gaming community. This game is above any other multiplayer game on the market. To end this, I have every right to ask questions. That is the nature of the forums. For those who like to use derogatory comments, it's time you grow up and try not to hamper the freedom of speech (in this case, type). Insulting a person is not considered a freedom of speech (in case you make some comment).

A few typo errors in my message above, but I'm not going to correct them (typing way too fast, didn't check for erros" Oops, Quibbly

I enjoy this game, and enjoy hosting a dedicated server (Quibblys Game Domain, Pure T-3). But has anyone noticed there are no posts about updates? There are no posts in regards to possible bug fixes? Has anyone noticed the lack of documentation in regards to how to make maps, proper weapon names and magazines (for addmagazinecargo). It seems we are directed to other sites to get this information, but not from the creators. It would seam, the creators of this fine game, are spending all their on their Government Contract? Wake up guys, we made them their money by purchasing this game, now they are turning their back on us. I for one, am frustrated with their lack of response. I would like to know the following: 1) When is the next patch coming out? 2) What are the future plans of OFP? 3) Are you going to allow the dedicated server to be able to turn off all the microphones? 4) How can we block the XML bug which is causing the servers to crash like crazy. 5) Why can't you guys create a dedicated server setting to run as a service? We shouldn't have to create our own, or purchase a program to do that for us. 6) Is your Dedicated server really setup to be ran as a service? If it was, we could type in the commands to make that so (for 2000, XP Pro) 7) Can we have more room to look at player ID's when using listplayers? 8) When the admins select "kickoff" on a players name, sometimes it doesn't work, put when I do that via command, it works? 9) Are you going to add a join feature like Counterstrike? These are some of the questions that have been asked around, but no answers from the creators. Thanks for your time, Quibbly Quibbly's Game Domain, Pure T-3 quibbly@quibbly.com

What an idiot. Â You just let everyone know you like hack. Â Did you know your IP is logged when you write on this board? Â You must be around.....15, but more like 5. Â It's probably more like you read up on hacking, but you have no clue what you are doing. Â I for one, will be on the look out for you.
