Been buying arma editions since arma 1 which to this day even with my x4 965 and a 4850 radeon still runs like crap, however since Arma II it runs flawless on my rig. I have not bought arma II OA yet!, i played it on my friends comp which is similar to mine and it runs smooth on high/very high settings. Just wanted to thank you for the great titles and keep up the good work! OA looks awesome and i noticed a lot has changed graphic and game play

umm yeah the GA-MA790GP-UD4H just came out so do some research moron. And the 4850 is very "adequate" for the game, and you all know wtf im talking about so the only fool here is you. Game sucks end of point. go buy arma 2 you f@cking suckers haha ---------- Post added at 06:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:46 AM ---------- btw you guys are retards the dual core does work as 2 processors and each core runs at 3.1GHZ so yes the cores together = 6.2GHZ learn your SHIT before you embarrass yourself dumb a$$'es Guess there are still people like the ones replying still do play games in 640x400 still on low settings great to see old people can play too. -

haha "inadequate for Arma" I believe all systems are inadequate for arma if it isnt one thing then its another. and the 5050e at each core running at 3.1ghz "Should" be fine to play any game including Arma. Like I said if my 5050e can run crysis and far cry 2 with out a problem what makes arma so special. Crysis being the most demanding in hardware. What I think is really funny is Arma does not support SLI or Crossfirex when in order to run the game it requires a super computer to run it with settings on Med!!! But anyway its not your fault DesertJedi however so your saying that the system requirements stated by developers are liars? here's the system requirements Minimum Specification: * CPU: 2 GHz * RAM: 512 MB * Nvidia Geforce FX with 128 MB RAM & pixel shader 2.0, ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 MB of RAM & pixel shader 2.0 * Free HD Space: 3 GB (or more as needed for downloadable addons) * Software: Windows XP or Windows 2000 and DirectX 9 Recommended Specification: * CPU: 3 GHz * RAM: 1 GB * Video Card: Nvidia 6800 and above or Ati x800 and above with at least 256 MB RAM * Free HD Space: 3 GB (or more as needed for downloadable addons) * Software: Windows XP and DirectX 9 so my inadequate 5050e with 6.2ghz of play still isnt good enough even though it only requires 2ghz and recommended 3ghz Im lost. -
ok where do I start, well I bought a used computer a few months ago AMD Althon 5200+ with a 8600GTS and 2GB G.Skill mem, the game like everyone else is complaining about the game ran like crap. I upgraded to a whole new system last week. GA-MA790GP-UD4H (FOR GAMING) AMD Athlon 5050e x2 Dual Core (KINDA GOOD FOR GAMING BUT WORKS AWSOME ON ALL OTHER NEW GAMES) Cooler Master Hyper TX3 w/High Performance thermo compound XFX Radeon 4850 1GB MEM (FOR GAMING) 4GB Kingston HyperX 1066 Running@800 (FOR GAMING) Arma STILL runs like crap, it lags lags lags. Far Cry 2 beats this game up making it look like Mario Kart (the NES Version) I have no trouble with running Far Cry 2 and Cryisis, Ive patched this (Arma) game to 1.16(beta), Ive tried it with 1.14 and all other patches and ive updated to the latest video card driver. I paid $39.99 bucks for this game when it first came out. I probably wont be paying for Arma 2 and invest my money for the developers who can make a game. Sorry for flaming but really they stopped trying to figure out what the reason is and now they gonna mess around with Arma 2 and forget about Arma 1 so now where all stuck with a dead beat game.

Ill look into it i might get the i7 2.66ghz for $287

The Specs that I posted are right, There are many different t43 modes not just one, I dont have a finger scanner with this series. And if you notice the price of the T43 it's value is still stronger then any other 4 year old laptop. T series from IBM are one of there Genuine  laptops.  However this T43 Genuine is of out date and obsolete. Im in the process on getting a desktop with a nvidia 9600OSG Verto.   Anyways yeah I play Arma on 640x400 (after installing patches 1.08-1.14 I have to play in Window mode otherwise the textures dont show up) Terrain Detail = Low Objects = Normal Textures = Very Low Shading = Very Low Post = Low AA = low Shadows = Disabled AF = Low Blood = High  I average between 15FPS and 40FPS.  Remember always browse with Foxfire

yeah im starting to browse around for parts now. Ill build it from the ground up. Id like to play this game with maxed out settings. I just afaid that after I build my pc im guessing the game will not support it as though it does need alot of power from what i hear the game does not support duel processors or some graphic cards so I dont know what to build to run this game

Already searched and didnt find one issue where as to mine so maybe im the unlucky one anyways Ibm Lenovo T43 1.86 Pentium M Dothen(533FSB) 1.50GB Ram PC4200 DDR2 ATI X300 128MB (Safely OC'ed GPU415/MEM334) 1HDD 40 GB, External HDD 650GB HP Printer D1520 Overclocked And ATI does not support my x300 even though they made it. and the last time IBM proved a driver was years ago and the drivers suk and outdated.

ok I now use -window to play and it all works. Textures appear. I have no clue why my textures fail when I play the other way oh well
-
wow after installing patch 1.15 lol its sooo bad, no textures still and my FPS went down completely to like 5. Each patch screws the game up more and more.
-
thanks guys for the help. After installing 1.08 and then installing 1.14 still the same problem anyways where can i download 1.15?
-
this is what it looks like after the patch install can someone help me figure out why it does this to the game after the patch, i thought patches were suppose to fix things not make them worse
