Yes the -nomap command saved my life. Now I can run lots of addons at once without worrying.:D

I seem to have fixed my random crashes! Most of them anyways that don't happen at the start of a mission but instead decide to happen in the middle of a MP game. I took off the side of my computer and I point a fan at it. No crashes for me (so far) while doing that. WOOOOEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Hi, can someone help me? I just downloaded the BOH 1.2 and I put all the files into an @BOHmod mod folder and made the shortcut. I have all the folders in the mod folder, "addons", "Res", etc... O mabye I need to have a res/addon folder?? Anyways then I moved the campaign and the missions into my regular OPF directories but when I start the game with the shortcut it's not detecting the addons in the mod/res folder. Do mod folders support a res\folder or does it just have to be an addon folder??? Thx.

Hi I get random crashes all the time. I'm running 1.94, -nomap, Win XP, P4 2Ghz, 1GB Ram, Directx 9.0b, ATI RADEON 8500LE 128 MB, AGP in BIOS set at 256MB (seems to work real well for everything but OPF). The crashes mostly happen in multiplayer, even if I create a game with only me playing CTI. The crashes seem to be totally random. I'm also curiuos about one thing: Can you check your CPU temperature from windows? The only display I've found is in the BIOS. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it REALLY sucks to crash during MP.

I had that problem awhile ago... I'm trying to remember how I got rid of it. I think I got it after installing the ECP pack but I have the ECP pack running fine now. I remember I ended up moving all my addons out of the opf folder and then uninstalling and reinstalling opf- twice! because even after I re-installed opf from the original CD's I was getting this error. I know! WTF! I even tried downloading a fresh copt of the config.bin file as well but that didn't work. The problem was solved (if I remember correctly) when I moved all my addons back into the addon folder-without the ECP or whatever addon it was I thought was causing the problem. I *think* that was all... Don't ask me why it worked! I'm running the ECP addon fine now that I installed via OPFWATCH from Karrillion's site. Hope this helps. I also remember writing something to the avon lady,... Could be I also emailed her my solution to the problem and could be she still has it archived somewhere.....

From the postings and the length I'm guessing you OFP players approve of LOMAC... Correct? Â I'm wondering whether or not to buy the game and if it meets your approval. Â The reason I'm asking is because I deleted the demo because my plane was transparent and I read on the forums that the game doesn't come with a manual. Â But if you guys approve of the game.... OK I hate firing up my OPF and going to the multiplayer to find the game I want is a CLAN vs. anyone else who joins. Â Yes I know I can find a bunch of other games to play but what I'm wondering is if there's a way to find people in my area (Vancouver, B.C.) for LAN's or for net play who are interested in starting an "anti-clan" because as great a game as OPF is, it's still JUST A GAME and I'd love to play it consistently with people who have lives and therefore realize that getting the high score in Riverbattle will not contribute to any sort of real-life achievement. Â Anyone???

I'm not sure why I'm being offensive. Yes, I'm looking for people to play this game with (and how to find them in my area), but I'm not interested in joining a clan because from what I've seen they seem to take it far too seriously for my tastes. I think this game is a lot of fun, it's my favorite game, I'm just looking for people who want to play for fun and who want to start a group based on that.

HI! I get that addon missing message too "bis_resistance" sometimes.. I think the mission is the BAS littlebirds demo mission. Mabye some other ones as well... I've got 1.94 and I just did a fresh install.

That sounds like a good idea! Â But I've never tried doing anything like that before but I'll give it a try... Â Still any pre-made missions anyone knows about would be good to know about.

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows of any good SP missions/campaigns that use some of the other good addons besides the BAS ones like the HK pack or the Russian SF weapons (the one with the VSS sniper rifle).? So many addons, so few missions...

OK, someone pls help.... Recently I just installed the new ECP addon and I ran Opf seemingly without any problems... but I also didn't notice anything different except for the startup movie was different... Then I went online and played some CTF for a short while when all of a sudden I CTD'd which happens to me now and then. THEN, tonight the night after I run V.1.94 again and I'm getting the message "config.bincfgAddons" before the game starts and I find that I can't change a whole bunch of the video settings, like view distance for example... I'm also getting a missing addon error that I've never had something like "armoredtruck.Maxweapons" or something. And I HAVEN't CHANGED ANYTHING!!!!! One more point of interest.. I found a new folder had been created in my root opf directory called "tmp" Inside I found 5 folders with the names of the people I was playing online with last night. Inside the folders I found sound files and face files but I didn't know that opf created new folders like that when you went online... Is it supposed to? Anyhow my opf is real buggered right now. Any help would be mucho appreciated thx.

Yes I did all that.... AAArgh it doesn't work!!!! All I could find on Avon Lady's FAQ was that a cfg.worlds error means a corrupted config.bin file probably but how is that possible when I did a fresh install??? This is nuts, man! It worked before! Can you feel my pain???!!??!

HELP!!! I have an update.. (even though only 1 reply so far...) I just COMPLETELY REINSTALLED OPF, cleaned the reg and everything and I'm getting the SAME ERRORs. On 1.92 I get "cfg.worlds" error and on 1.94 I get the same error I posted above! How could this happen??? This is how I installed: 1. OPF cold war CD. reboot. 2.OPF gold upgrade CD. reboot. 3. OPF resistance CD. reboot. (was I supposed to run the 1.46 upgrade here???) 4. 1.90 patch. reboot 5.1985 campaign patch. reboot. 6. 1.91 patch. reboot. 7. red hammer compatibilty patch. reboot. 8. 1.92 patch. run prefs autodetct, "cfgworlds" error. reboot. 9. 1.94 patch. run prefs autodetect, "config.bincfgAddons" error, game starts, get "missing addons: "All.transportMaxweapons" but I removed all my adddons before re-install and I get the old 1.30 video settings screen. This is screwed! Help please! HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLlppppppp!

ya, but, I thought the ECP thing didn't modify any of your original files!!! Anyways the ECP mod worked and loaded just fine, it was after I played on that server that I noticed all the screw-ups, with the ECP still running. I think I might have to re-install *gasp*.....

1 more thing, I just found out that ver. 1.92 seems to work just fine. It's as though my v.1.94 has been downgraded to a much earlier version somehow.? (no advanced display settings) Does this make any sense? I'm under the impression that either the ECP thing screwed up my game (I removed it I was under the impression that it didn't mess with any of your original files) or somehow my files got screwed up by someone online but that's not possible (is it?) only because I found that "tmp" folder with the player's files in it in my opf root folder. thx.
