    but I'm not sure since I don't have a server at hand. This should be the server setting which would turn off grass in multiplayer for every client too. However it doesn't seem to work yet, at least this is my experience. Now the only option is to include "setterraingrid 50" in every init.sqs for every mission.

    Patch 1.05 impressions

    The same here, I just cannot switch the grass off on our server by changing the terrain detail setting. However, if I include setterraingrid 50 in the missions, there is no grass. But it should work through server config. My other problem is, that internal voice doesn't seem to be working. But the game has become totally playable on my not so new computer, and the multiplayer part has been improved since 1.02 a lot.

    It is almost excellent, but does internal voice com work already? Because at our server (disablevon=0), it doesn't seem to be working. And for 60 players a team/group/vehicle based voicecom system would be also better, I guess.

    I wrote here about very poor performance of ArmA on my PC (athlon 2500+@3200+, ati 9800 128mb, 1gb ram). It was only playable with very low settings in 800x600. Now I have installed the patch, and at the same time changed agp aperture size in bios from 64mb to 128mb and later 512mb. I'm not sure yet which of these caused the change, but now I can play in 1024x768, low/medium settings, using no aniso, antialiasing low, shadows off. It is playable and this way now it also looks nicer than OFP . 20-30 fps, of course it will be problematic in forests, but I'm more optimistic now.

    It would be good to know something about this. We have a windows based dedicated ofp server, we would like to have arma ports too, so if there won't be any linux server application in the near future, linux would be replaced by windows on our server.

    There isn't any publisher for Hungary yet, however... Ofphu team has arrived from Bratislava with some copies... My pc is not the best (amd 2500+@3200+ 1gb, ati 9800 128), and I haven't figured out the best settings yet, but it is not easy to get a normal framerate. It can be because of my computer, I had problems with other games too. There are some minor bugs, like mi17 copilot, or 5t truck driver sits too high, but there are several promising details... - 3d aiming, perfect at first glance... however it needs higher framerate , strange that by using some optics, framerate drops significantly, there were similar problems with ofp too, with some mods - JIP works well, we have tried it - Sahrani is fantastic, very detailed, realistic and natural...I would like to use it with very high settings - multiple gunner pos works well - I like the sounds - postproc effects would improve the graphics a lot, if I could use them at a normal framerate - I tried CTI, but I will try it tomorrow again. It starts with a map where you can select respawn place like in battlefield, and also you can select a soldier type....I only played about 10 minutes with it I haven't seen any factories or management functions yet There are still some minor bugs (and sometimes crashes too) as I mentioned which I think they will fix soon. Maybe it is still wise to be patient, you will be much more content if you can start to play with an already updated arma. Adversial multiplayer will be strange again, the sides seem to be unbalanced as they were in OFP, at least at first glance. I have to get a better PC. The game is worth of it.

    Set player scores to 0

    I would like to set up our multiplayer server, or the maps on it, so the players do not gain any points in the game. The reason is simple: we want team play, not invidual rankings. Flag score, or ch score = team score is enough. The question is, how can i set this? In editing, I haven't find any commands to reduce score, or to set score only to add score. I tried to add negative score but it didn't worked. I know it is possible to disable the score table (I button), but ofpwatch or other score tracking programs still log the scores. And also, our server is on ofpserverstat, and the admin has left that site, he didn't remove our server from the tracking. although I've asked him to do so . It is good to see who plays on the server, and how much, but the invidual score in ofp does not make any sense, but it can make trouble. So, do anyone has any idea about modifying (disabling) the invidual score system?

    Of course, of course, but if somebody use this locking ability to target vehicles for example beyond view distance or behind a hill (you can lock a target with right click even if it can't be seen yet on radar screen, so if somebody get locked that way and get some shots, maybe he won't even see the white square on radar representing the enemy tank, that can be very disturbing at low view distance multiplay maps like cti), then that player will simply use this "clickclickclick" method with the TOW, and after locking, he can aim with the 25mm too, I meant it like this...that it would not make a difference. But anyway, the clearest solution is if you can lock/target with missile and you can't with the gun.

    I meant disabling target lock for tanks without guided missiles. In case of the m2a2 for example....i don't know, it wouldn't make much sense if you could not lock with the 25mm but you could with the tow...so maybe i would leave it as it is (anyway, these vehicles like bmd, m2, bmp can use some advantages against tanks like m1a1 and t80 ;) ).

    That t90 addon is very nice, but that's just a beta version. Although I know of only one problem with it, a single shot can turn it over very easily...that's why i can hardly wait for that rhs t90 pack with an updated version.

    I think disabling the locking ability of the gun improves adversarial maps a lot (if you don't play on a server with weapon cursor disabled). We play ctf and ch like that, and tank combat is much more enjoyable this way, no targeting beyond visual range, no more shooter behind the fog (clickclickclick) . Radar could be disabled too...but just at the driver and the gunner, i think, there should be left something useful to the commander .

    At least we play ctf on it (map pic) regularly on our (OFPHu) server (and sometimes a "rally" map with skodas, from the southern airport to Navla ). It's a beautiful island with playable fps. And in my opinion Grozna is in the top 10, in "the nicest cities ever created in OFP" list. So I hope, that the new version will be even better, and that it won't lag more.

    I tested this (1.92 dplay server, 1.94 client)...and a commander was enough But i think, maybe it would be wise to delete this info from here, and send it to BIS support directly, and (if possible) to server admins too...
