Is it possible to make reflective textures to put into mirrors inside vehicles? Because it would become VERY useful, and make the game more realistic, since all cars have mirrors, and i thought it would be a VERY useful... and quite neat in certain circumstances. Especially since you cant look directly behind you in any car/plane, i kinda find it annoying in certain situations. Im sure if it was possible that BIS would actually include this in their vehicles, but maybe this was a feature that slipped by and they havent actually used it... assuming its possible. Im still kind of figuring out O2 and texturing, but i thought it would be neat to add some mirrors to the addons im working on. Especially aircraft and cars.

Awesome plane d00d, real nice j0b. It makes OPF feel like an actual flight sim (well almost), but i just love the way this plane handles. But on the sound issue, it is kind of odd flying without sound, i know the plane engine can be too loud, and in the current F14 and MiG it has proven so... But its kind of weird flying and not hearing at least a little hum from the engine. So my question is if its possible to have two different sounds for say when ur in the cockpit and when ur in third person or outside the plane? So that when ur in the cockpit u would hear just a VERY low humm from the engine noise, and outside would stay the way it is? Once again, very good job on the plane d00d, and i hope to hear from ya about the sound thing. But if it cant be done, keep it the way it is, the engine noise would droun out everything. But if it can, id like to know. Oh and EDC - This game is metric, so it is meters not feet... since it was made in Europe, and they use the metric system there

I have been messing around with O2 for a little while, creating just some odd shapes and... well this program is very weak. On the modeling side anyway. Missing a lot of features many other free 3D software have... Kind of a half-ass attempt by BiS to let people make their own improvements for the game. Since im a big Lightwave user, and am happy to know that O2 (and OPF) supports 4 point poly's, i would like to know if there is any direct converter or even export plugin that lets me port my Lightwave models directly into P3D, which i can than make the animations proxys to use in the game. Since i dont care about doing the coding and all that using O2. I am aware there is an OBJ to P3D to OBJ converter, but it is not only unsupported by the author, i havent fully tested it yet - so there could be major problems, and it doesnt look like the author is going to be making any updates. So i was wondering if anyone knows of a program that i can convert Lightwave LWO files to P3D without going the extra steps through this software. Also, if at all possible, is there any way of changing the key config or color scheme?

Actually i was well aware of Deep Exploration, and happen to be one lucky user who got my hands on it a while back when it was cheap... like $50 or so. And was just thinking that when you wer talkin about the poor 3DS converter in Lightwave. Not that i blame them for having one, since its not really up to them for having it (since 3DSMax doesnt have any LW importer as it is)... But NewTek being really good guys still have one anyway. And the program i have actually converts to OBJ, which is a Maya or Softimage file... i forget, but it supports 4 point poly's!.. anyway it takes that and converts to P3D... (and back also - works on all P3D's i came across Perhaps i should check with the Lightwave community @NewTek's website and see if they have anything up their sleeve for this..

Oh, n/m, i fixed it. Just had to put O2 in the same folder as the Viewer.. Even seems to work if i put all the viewer files in a single dir, and O2 in that dir.....

Ok, i just unzipped the O2 program into a directory, ran the Objectiv2Light.exe file, and after the logo comes up, i get a 'Program Error' when the application window comes up. This is pretty much the Illegal Operation for Windows 2000... and i have no idea why its happening..... I have had this program installed earlier, and it ran fine... Anyway i deleted everything since i didnt want to dedicate an entire drive just for this program (i have NO idea why you even have to do that! - its not explained anywhere - yes i made a post asking this earlier also) Basically now i get this error after i start up the program... i even deleted both the O2 and Viewer, and tried setting it up again, but still get this error just when i start the program.... Is there a config file maybe hidden somewhere which i can delete so i can setup the config over? Or how can i fix this?

Im not exactly sure where to post this, nor was i able to find any topic in the forum about this... Basically i am looking for is file conversion tools for the game's P3D format.. What i need is a tool that converts a .P3D file into either a Lightwave file (.LWO) or a 3DMax/Gmax File (.3DS/.MAX...etc) or a .OBJ file (which i can import into Lightwave or Max..) AND Also be able to convert either of them back into the .P3D file which i can use ingame... So far i havent really found any tools that can do this, ive checked most popular sites with no luck - yet. But ill keep looking, but hopefully someone here could help me out.

Yes.. i know you can convert it into OBJ, but im looking for a specific program that can do this. So far i found a program called "unofficial OBJ2P3D compiler by FlipeR" and it lets me convert most P3D to OBJ, but it does it in a weird way... since it splits up the model into some 12 different ones, most of them differ in some way or another.... Plus its a crude version of the program, meaning he doesnt support it, it may cause problems... etc... So if there is a more solid program out there, i need it.

Why does Oxygen Viewer require to be installed in the root of a HD? This is currently the only software that has to have it done, and i dont see a reason for it. I am currently not at liberty to dedicate any HD for just a little program like this (which isnt all that powerful anyway), and instead of having to setup any virtual drive for this, i would simply like to have it installed under a certain folder - its just the way i like to have things organized, without having unnecessary stuff the root... So im just looking for an explenation as to why i have to do this (since i was unable to find any...) and if there is a way that i can simply put it in its own folder instead of having a specific drive for this (even if it takes a while to setup).
