German ww2 tanks (large pack) by t_roc !!!
pzvg replied to fighter's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
or you could edit lib's 45mm gun down to something more like a "45mm" gun <which I did, things could outshoot a T34-85, pride is good, but, JEEZ!> -
looks like the perfect place to give CoC's unified artillery full release
-
Charging troops tend to STOP charging when somebody starts putting 8mm rounds in them from 300m away.
-
Very nice work, Minor niggle, the T26 needs it's weight adjusted, I had one come around a corner and collide with an I44 sdkfz251, the T26 went flying 500 feet into the air. <love the replacing knocked out tanks with wreck models, makes the battlefield look properly untidy, not like my daughter's toybox>

Tested this, took a 3D cafe model of a psw222 and imported it, and started making one from scratch. took a week to get the PD one to work ingame in a half decent fashion, took 4 days to scratchbuild a PSW222 that looked nearly exactly like the PD one.

The funny thing is, Y'all don't get it, What if someone DOES rip off your model? BFD, did you lose your TALENT? your model was already public, people have seen it,used it, and are aware of how good you are. So your next release<that can't be "stolen" because no one's seen it yet> will STILL be raved over. You really need to step back and reassess your priorities, To "help" you in this, consider this, if you put some kind of obscure CODE in your model, I won't ever download your work, not because I'm a "lowlife,no talent thief" but because I don't KNOW what that code is, encryption? might be, could be a spiteful modder burying a computer virus in his model too. You do the community harm with this crap, stop it, now.

I do believe anything useful in this topic was wrung out a while back. But at least we know a lot more about things we didn't really need to know.
-
I haven't had any problems with it miles <don't worry oh addon "gods" after my last run in with your "understanding and generosity" I won't release jack shit, my addons are for me only> I love this whole, "we must be able to see if they are worthy of our models" bit, no y'all ain't "Eeeleetist" nossir, not one bit. I AM NOT WORTHY, BFD, I like to make stuff, and unless ya want to drop on by <and own bigger guns than I do> ya can't really stop that. From my days in the MSFS mod community, let me share something, Having a NAME in the community is a GOOD thing, having a big head attached to it is not. You cannot control anything, and really if you pack up your kit and go from the community, you'll only be hurting yourself, because down the road, folks will do work of your quality, and the only thing remaining of your reputation will be the negatives of your actions.
-
Maybe it didn't need a save function, Trouble is, that's irrelevant. It's too late, the programs out, you can't put the genie back in the bottle. For those that wish to stop making addons, our loss, your choice, but the community at large will continue, with or without you. how many changes do you really think you can make to a model anyway? an M1 tank is an M1 tank, most of the varients around now are merely texture work, and ODOL was never a barrier to that. But anyway, I've pretty much had my fill of the gnashing of teeth that always accompanies ANYTHING not done by some parties, seems to me they'd be better off going into the mainstream market as pros so they CAN copyright their work, instead of making demands in an open community that are not only impossible to fulfill, but ridiculous to contemplate.
-
Actually, in that respect OFP civilians behave remarkably like the real ones
-
Having imported and d*cked around with some Freeware models, I gotta agree with bratty also, it's really much easier to start your own model from scratch, just reducing the poly alone takes longer than building up your own. besides, I find the HARD part of O2 modeling is doing Textures and those @@##$%$%^&!! geo/fire LODs

Umm, it's a stand-off range tank destroyer, if enemy armor is already BEHIND it, it's in the wrong place :P
-
While there is some debate ongoing as to if they actually engaged Soviet armor. It is known that the 2 Maus prototypes at Kummersdorf were kitted out for combat and put into the line, most sources agree they were abandoned to the enemy after running out of fuel (not an uncommon occurance in the whermacht in '45) Anyway, the point was well-made earlier in the thread that this is a GAME, Don't have a use for a Maus? don't D/l it, I for one will add it to the collection Thanks At, nice work. (btw, perhaps a Ratte is too far-fetched, E-100 maybe?)
-
Oh, and btw, Pricewatch is quoting $188USD for 512Mb of SamSung RDRAM, so if ya gotta have it, why pay more?
-
First, I won't use RDRAM, <no more INTEL slavery, join the revolution> Second, I have, at present, 6 functioning computers at home, <1 for each family member> upgrading these at your local CompUsa on a more than "once in a blue moon" basis would be prohibitively costly. You use the ratings system at Pricewatch to get the most reliable dealers at the best price, I'll admit I've been burned a few times, mostly because I went for lowest price without checking them out, But all in all, 6 computers, the slowest runs at 1.2Ghz, the fastest clocks 1.4, none of them have less than 60Gb of HD space, and I think my youngest girl runs the weakest vid card <GF2> not that she really needs better yet <she's 4> And please note at under $50K a year, I'm not to be considered wealthy by any means. To me the benefits outweigh the risks. All I'm sayin
-
They did.
-
And RAM is cheaper than a hard drive, But, if it's such a bother, simply don't use it, not like the lack of a truck is going to pooch your mission, right?
-
Nice trucks, Yes please, I'll take a GRAD over easy, with ketchup Guys, TOO BIG? wtf?? I currently have some 5.5 gigs of OFP addons, and room for at least another 6 gigs, Harddrives are CHEAP. <for that matter, my last CPU/Mobo upgrade was to a 1.4Ghz for $107 USD including S&H> Try Pricewatch.com you don't need to tolerate a crappy computer :P

That 1954-56 Chevy 3ton is a bit old for most farms outside of Bangaldesh FORD F100! <eat me Chevy lovers>
-
Since the game spans years (Viet Nam, Korea, WWII to name a few mod eras) All forms of GM109 series are useful, ALCM's,GLCM's,TSSAM's As for the T not being used in an Antiship role anymore, you do realize that advances in technology have made it no longer viable in that role? it's too big and too slow for the modern SuWar environment. (Trust me, I'd have loved the Navy keeping them, it would have kept me in a job I loved, building them)
-
Especially valid considering some countries will be operating the 21 for at least another 10 years <if not longer> State of the art is nice, but pricey, and personally I feel a territory the size of nogova would probably be rather more interested in subsidies for the fishing fleet than some state of the art next-gen warplane that cannot even operate off their rather limited fields. On that note, both FMC <M113> and the ungodly mixed-named French armament industry have slashed their prices on 2nd gen APC's, might be a good buy for the Nogo's, FMC's even throwing in a spare engine and extra set of tracks with each M113A4 they sell
-
Neither do I, y'all wouldn't last a 1/2 hour in the mainstream flightsim mod community, Credit in the readme is ALL you deserve, what else is there? control? "no, I don't like you, you can't use my stuff" <veers back on topic> as for the lighter lime-greenish tint, I actually have BDUs that look like that <3 years of planet Ord sun and loads of detergent> so ya can't tell.
-
Addendum <followup> 7.9 cannons? 8mm Mgs do not a cannon make, reduce the firepower a bit Bombload, whilst late war models could stagger aloft with 1 3000lb bomb, I doubt any Stuka carried 3 1000lbr's, typical loadout was 1 1000lb on centerline and 4 110lb on wing hardpoints. rear seat should face aft <backwards> he was a tailgunner, not a tourist
-
Don't suppose you have a link that isn't to some thrice-damned paysite? (I'll forego playing OFP before giving money to SPAMplanet>
-
Notes; Fuselage is a bit short Cockbit is funny, need to either lengthen it a foot <ju87B2>, or taper it down in the rear by 6-8 inches <Ju87D and later> But still nice looking, some final releases don't have this much polish. (on Anti-tank versions, I think I still have my JU87G2 I was working on, the plane is total crap but the gunpods are pretty solid, although untextured, if ya want 'em lemme know) (also have lot's of tech info ready to hand on them)
