Big aircraft and how to handle them
pzvg replied to Ludovico Technique's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
A modern day heavy bomber? yeah if you were born in 1949, it's modern, for the rest of us the BUFF has been around a long time, the Bone is modern. Btw as far as taking the entire map to turn around, IT SHOULD! It's a BUFF, not another child's toy close support aircraft. As far as employment, I changed the Bone's <B1> config to where it's armed with tomahawk's <Can't remember which site I got that from, it's old> mainly because AFAIK, the only gravity bomb in the Bone's op-inventory has an "N" in it's name -
Soothing? only if the plane has an autopilot, otherwise I want the pilot annoyed, slightly tense and on the edge of his seat for the whole trip, You know, like his CREWCHIEF
-
@ hellfish6 I think what most of us DAT's are screaming about is the concept of, you have to be ALIVE to change the tire Downscaling the armor protection while the rest of the planet is busy upscaling the capability of your average MANPAT seems a tad,....dangerous?

Is it just me? or does that model look complete? You know, this is why I gripe about total conversion mods months of hype,mouth-watering screens and much dialogue, always prefaced by "we won't release anything until the whole mod is done" then the mod goes belly up and all that work just vanishes. Oh and note for the BW mod, most people DO NOT LIKE having your mod install itself however it chooses, I for one have seperate folders for different eras (modern,WWII) and finding your stuff in the WWII folder and everywhere else is mildly annoying, so do CHANGE the way the installer works, The rest of your mod is awesome, just don't like the installer.

Well to be precise about it, the 88mm Kw.k.36 sounds extremely loud, I've heard one. One point though, the panther is armed with a 75mm Kw.k.42, <a niggle on your objectivity, real life wise, the decibel difference between any high velocity tankgun is much too small for normal hearing to detect>

Question about winter mods for 1.9
pzvg replied to Ludovico Technique's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Still the point is even the Soviets, <who were absolute freaks on the subject of winter camo> rarely painted helos in winter camo, I've seen only a handful of winter camo helicopters in my life, 85% of which was spent on military bases loaded with helicopters. Try British or Norwegian, those two nations like to paint things come Winter, also might check the Finns, they pretty passionate about it too. -
Woot, <why yes I do LIKE panthers thank you>

I don't have contact with Steam, My E is bear38@TDS.net Nice 3 views, useful On the SU-85, It's not finished yet On the BT-5, It's not finished yet Actually I have slowed down a lot on the work <real life giving me headaches this close to tax time> Bear in mind, what I call 60% complete might still be 2-3 months away from release-grade <if ever> And at this time, only the BT-5 is under consideration <since the model is my own and the final textures will be too>

It's things like this make me wonder why I bother
-
Last one for a while <no really>
-
next up the pzIVH <don't give me too much grief, all I have to work with is a 1/256 scale miniature> {edit, was supposed to be BT-5, pics got mislabelled}
-
Ugh, well my pics make it look worse, but you get the idea.

You must first uninstall the original BW mod demo if it's installed, if you have, or if you never had it, just keep clicking "weiter" <next> it will automatically install to your ofp dir.

update, SU76i undergoing a rebuild est 25% SU85,SU100 at 90% <still have a bug or 2 with turn outs and Far LOD's, but very workable> T-34/85 work stopped for right now <45%, turret just doesn't look right> New things BT-5 <all original work, 30% complete> "russkye ford" truck <all work so far using steam's t34 textures even on my original builds, if I get time I work up some of my own, still waiting to hear if Steam minds me using his work to build on>

Last time I checked, Tulipland was on the Atlantic Denwad, there is a Tobruk with an APX turret appx. 6 Km N of Calais <At least it was still there in 1985> BTW, I did a tour of the Atlantic wall defenses in 85 <business not pleasure> which is where I get my info from.
-
@walker AFAIK <As Far As I Know> ringstand's were used All over German controlled areas, but the ones equipped with obsolete French tank turrets are generally found only in the Atlantic wall defenses. There is one still in place at Pointe Du Hoc, and another outside Cherbourge. On the Pzfst30, no worries, I disabled my Nvidia montior controls and ran the .EXE, it worked that time, apparently something in the package doesn't like Nview <none of your other addons do it either, strange isn't it?>

Who would you like in theamazon 2 pack
pzvg replied to Koolkid101's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I vote for Venus Williams <african-american females being a tad underrepresented in OFP> or Anna K <yes I've been watching too much tennis> -
No, they used them in the Atlantic wall defenses in Normandy And some are still there

as far as more Russian units, if one of you Russian speakers could put me in touch with STEAM, I'm nearly 60% done with 3 units <well 35% on one of them> but they all use his models as a base, and I don't release without an agreement so far SU-85 <and SU-100 very soon> T34-85 <both of these based on T-34 model> and SU76i <based on pz4f model, and looking at doing a STU-42H>
