The problems with Blackpowder addons, ie; Civil/Napoleonic war addons. No Horses, While I can make a horse, even make one that moves, I haven't been able to put a rider on one. No bayonets, even with the animation coded in, the AI would not use it, In fact, the AI doesn't seem too fond of marching steadfastly into enemy fire, which ties in with my last point. To look even close to actual battle conditions in those wars requires a minimum of 100 troops per side, moving in tight formation, add 1 volley of fire and you bring the average midlevel PC to it's knees. Don't get me wrong, I LIKE these wars, but recreating them in OFP is going to be difficult,to say the least.

Rufus, One I never thought the West needed 100 weapons of each type, so I don't think the East does either <AFV's are a different story> Two, there is NO <in game terms> discernable difference between an AN94 and ANY other weapon system <change a line in the cpp and you can give a .22 pistol laser accuracy> so there isn't any real "balance" issues to pursue. Of course, "I want it" is a valid reason for the inclusion of ANY addon in OFP, only thing is if you cannot convince any other modder of the same,you might have to make it yourself

The Barnes Wallis bouncing bomb had only one application, and that was the destruction of the Ruhr and Saar river dams, The bomb required a heavily modified Lancaster bomber that could only carry one such bomb, and an extremely narrow set of release parameters <waay beyond what OFP AI could handle> That said, the Barnes Wallis bomb is totally unsuitable for use by jet aircraft, is outclassed by a SLAM for pinpoint damage, and a modder would not only have to figure out how to get it to bounce, he would have to build a Lancaster to carry it. Tall order.

No money, never,ever, BIS proofed the game, they made it, they can charge for it, The rest of us are using their tools to build stuff to interact with their engine, hardly what I'd call worthy of compensation. <yes even the best of us, the only real kudo one can hope for is to be picked up by BIS or another studio that's followed your work, outright compensation for modding is ludicrious>

Well, I can't speak for the "other" services, but in Army Rotary Wing Aviation it is generally found that the best camo is afforded by the hill you are hiding behind, as most weapon systems tend to operate in the nonvisual for targetting. <paint means squat to a HS or 'dar>

It's a rare weapon, and it's too similar to the existing AK line to have much impact, OTOH, there are it least 10 different addons of the POS M4, So who knows. P.S. the difficulty in making sight optics is actually simple, ie; we <the modders>,can make it, IF we know what it looks like, so, anybody got a shot of a AN94's sight picture?

The original AH-1G is simply a low cross section fuselage, 99% of the systems onboard were UH-1 parts, directly interchangable, The Scout would have never seen combat, like Evis said, it was basically a "proof of concept" testbed, It couldn't carry enough ammo for the weapons to make it useful.
