LGB bomb scripts without aircraft present

Does someone know if there is a script that just spawn an lgb bomb on a targer without having an aircraft present? I think i kind of fed up with using the secop module for an LGB stike and never showing up because they crashed into a mountain or tree somewhere. I find it highly anoying and its preventing me from releasing my missions a week ago if it wasent for the damn aircraft crashing.. -
adding weapons pool to editor

I,ve been searching for over half an hour but havent found anything helpfull. How do i add a weapons pool so i may choose the weapons loadout in my briefing screen? ---------- Post added at 06:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:24 PM ---------- Ok i know now that they should be in the discriptions.ext. But i want to add guns the the community made. How the hell do i find out what they are supposed to be named in the Discription ext? -

look up what the weapons are called at the download location and put it in your description.ext if you want the stock weapons look up the class here http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA_2:_Weapons#Equipment dont forget to put in the ammo in the desciption as well. -

It would be good . But there are 2 things. It should be a LGB attack not a dum bomb attack. My current discription.ext doesnt like yours. I tried to modify but i get errors all the time. I suspected the whole problem to have to do something with the aircraft crashing in the normal secop manager cas. I made the mission in the pantherea map and seem other aircraft and choppers in the mission just crash into the mountain lately. If i new this i would have made the mission on cheneraus, But hey i,m working on a mini campaign and got 3 missions allready laid out on this map and i have done a lot work and put alot of time on the forums and in the editor looking for solutions and it would be insane to start from scratch now. -
I,M having trouble with the cas in the som menu. The code is right i double checked it. All the other support functions work but when i call for an airstrike the spot is marked on the map and i wait with the laser designator but most of the time they dont show up or go down in the distance for some reason while there isent any anti air in the area. Can someone tell me to call for air support without the SOM module. I just think its to inreliable .

I dont like using the Secop module. Its notoriously unrelieable. CAS aircraft that dont show up . And sometimes i lose the support options for no reason at all while i build the whole freakin mission around the multiple support options. If you use it for support options i would rely on them . Its good to have them but they can dissapear for no real reason -

Linking objectives to the briefing

Ok i came so far with my mission that i was able to make a briefing and tasks in the briefing but i just dont understand how to link an objective in the editor to the mission briefing i dont have any triggers for the objectives yet because i dont know the code. I tried all the tutorials and read through all the threads but it seems far to complex. ok here is what i want in the mission. * a specops team must recon an area so there is no target to destroy but i want to have the briefing show the objective is complete somehow. * then i have a target that needs to be destoyed by lasing a building. * then destoy a couple of trucks with artillery. * and as last return to the carrier. I just dont understand how to do this and all the threads is just so much information that i just dont understand it all. I mean making a come together in the briefing is more difficult then making the mission itself! Someone please help me out. Maybe someon could make a simple tutorial mission for me that i can open in the editor because i have no idea how to get normal missions in the editor with the pbo extractor -

Unreliable CAS

I have the same problem . I,m working on a mission where you have to call in the air support and in the beginning it seemed to work without problems. But now i have allmost finished the mission and decided to test it again. All the other support functions in the SOM module work but now the air support dont show up at all anymore most of the time. This sucks since i build the whole damn mission around this objective. I also noticed that sometimes the SOM module dont work at all and sometimes is does! I removec any Air threats that could take down the aircraft. I find it worked fine before and now the aircraft dont show up at all! ---------- Post added at 10:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:10 PM ---------- I tried this with another FAC guy on the same map and i different location . Same thing happens no Aircraft show up while all the other support that are activated by the trigger works without problems. Strange huh? -

Briefing in editor

i,ve searched but could not find anything. i made a briefing.sqf and a init.sgf . But when i start the mission in the editor there is no briefing. Am i doing something wrong or do i have to convert the mission from the editor to the normal missions map?

I did copy and paste all the codes and i checked them all they work sometimes and sometimes they dont.

Well glad to see that the lack and gap any real successor to the b-17 mighty eight or any good new b-17 simulation can be filled byt arma 2 ---------- Post added at 05:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:17 PM ---------- Oh yeah i was so depressed when i found out that the succecor to B-17 the mighty eight called B-17 The Legend Retuns was cancelled. I believe shockwave procution bought the rights and the code of b-17 the mighty eight and for unknown reasons the project was abandoned. I have been looking for any signs of a new b-17 simulator . There were some addon packs for the b-17 in CFS3 but you could only fly in a formation of 3 or 6 max and if was dissapointing. Guess arma 2 would make a good alternative platform for anything serious simulatin the b-17

The whole carrier shit is really stessing me out. I got the placable carrier download and it took me almost two hours two figure out how to place units on the carrier with the setpostions code. The thing is sometimes units remain om teh deck but sometimes they still fall through the ship even with correct code !!!@#@@!@#@!!!!!. Another thing that anoys the shit out of meis that sometimes units sink throught the deck halfway with there body,s and when i mess around to place them a litte higher they suddenly die. I tried to place a platoon of marines on the cargo hold of the carrier on the correct setposition with hold and safe waypoints set and still walk around and keep turning 360 degrees for no reason.. This also happens when i place indivdual units on the flight-deck. But the most anyoing is that even with the right code all the stuff on the flight deck still fall through the ship and sometimes they dont. It doesnt seem to be because the Placable LHD is a little stretched in the editor becaus everything just goes through.

Is it possible to open the ramp on the back of the LHD? i noticed there is a space modeled there .

In the missions where i have to save the docter from being beheaded i suddenly cant team switch. Why is that? It made previous missions so much more easyer!! Is this a bug? Or is this intentional. I have your updated version of this campaign. -

Great missions this campaign is much better then the first one. Allthough i must admit that 3 man team just dont work for me in some missions,
