Thanks for all the responses guys. Someone else chimed in about uninstalling beta patches that tend to delete some files. As far as I know, I did not uninstall anything, but it seemed to happen right before or after I installed the beta 1.09 patch. As far as my mods go, I'm only using the @warmodsound, TrueAI, THe smoke mod that Matt offers ( forget the name) and Chammys sound mod(which simply rocks BTW). Maybe my memory is faulty and I did uninstall something. You know what they say, the simpliest explanation usually is the correct one, or something like that. Once again, thanks guys for trying to help me out.

Nice try? Are you implying that I do not have the game? If so how does one get an entire game using one file? You must know more than me! I would have tried ver 1.05 but the a10.pbo came out with the ver 1.07, which I tried. I guess I can just reinstall the entire game, then repatch everything, but I thought I would ask first for the missing file, to spare me the headache of going that route. Also, by circumventing a clean install, I would either have to do a clean install, and add back all my addons, or figure out which files came with the game and which were addons that I installed later. In a nutshell finding the missing single file would be easier than an entire install. Thanks for your help railgunner.

With these mods do you need to add "mod= " to the exe string??

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong with the install? Once unzipped I placed all the .pbo's into the arma/addon folder. In the editor, all the armor has the original camo patterns. I've d/l'ed the other desert mod for the blue side, and am having no luck with that install either. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks. Sickboy, I wanted to come on and personally thank you for your mod. I'm using it in conjunction with Predator's soundmod and it has really brought the game to a new level. Once again, a huge thank you! -S.

Thanks a million for the sound mod Predator, it's awesome! I did read, but what through me off was that when I first installed this mod, I thought I remembered having to extract and combine certain PBO's. That being said, I was never quite sure whether I was ever on the right path. Also having a 7 and 2 year old, full time job etc, doesn't allow me the time I once had to play around with the PC. Once again, thanks!

ok, I'm an idiot, please disregard that last reply to you. It works just like you said. I confused myself with the older soundmod for 1.05, and never found the two specific pbo's you were referring to. Thanks a million, it's been so frustrating and you've totally made my day! Now only if I can figure out why "Armaspy" will not let me join other 1.07 games.

yes I have done that and it will work for ver 1.05, but not for 1.07. I've played around with changing the order around with the commands . first -nopsplash, -mod=beta; modwarsound or -mod=modwarsound; beta, etc, but it still will not work.
