This is the best Arma campaign I've ever played to date, and is much better than the BIS campaign. Too bad it's only five missions. You really did a good job of making the player feel like he was just an average grunt in a much larger conflict and that's why this campaign is so much fun and atmospheric. I Can't wait for chapter two, and hopefully you can stay with your current mission making formula. I just get sick of playing all of those one man army missions that everyone seems to make, where the player has to do all the work. The best part of your campaign is that it doesn't follow that formula and you can literally complete all five missions without firing a shot(with some luck of course), the A.I. will usually get the job done on their own. So, once again good work and bring on chapter two!

Yes this is a very annoying bug, but I have found a way around it. Whenever the fps drops hits, usually within half an hour, just disable AA and then set it back to normal. Disabling PP and then turning it back on works too. Also use the flush command every 15 minutes or so. It's definitely a very annoying memory leakage problem and, in my opinion, the biggest bug that BI has yet to fix.

Hey Chuck Norris, why don't you go play some other combat simulator then? I'm telling you that you won't find anything nearly as enjoyable or less buggy than Arma. If you do manage to find one let me know and we can compare the two.

You guys are such assholes, lol. Anyways, defquon we know there are a lot of bugs in this game. Name one other game like this that we can turn too, other than Ofp? That’s right there is no such game, no matter how hard you look. The fact is, were stuck with Arma because there is no competition and we have to deal with it’s problems. The only thing we can do is hope for the day that they will be solved. I fully support BIS and I think they will iron out the bugs eventually. So don’t worry too much.

Yes, you can edit them. All you need is the PBO Decryptor.

Thanks for the replies guys. The A.I. definitely seem to act more realisticly with skill set to 1.000000 and precision set to around 0.400000. I think BIS should have added a precision slider to the difficulty menu. Especially for those who complain about the superhuman A.I., but don't that you can edit it in the profile. Hopefully this option can be included in a future patch, because it would definitely lead to a decrease of posts on how the A.I. is to good.

Well, after a half hour of searching I found a topic on it, but it only listed one combination of settings. Could someone direct me to a topic with more?

I've been editing this section of my ARMAPROFILE: skillFriendly=1.000000; skillEnemy=1.000000; precisionFriendly=1.000000; precisionEnemy=1.000000; I've tried a lot of combinations of settings and I want to know what you guys think is the best and most balanced combination. I want the most realistic settings possible, because I hate it when an enemy fires one bullet into my head from 500 meters. Also, are there any other files or settings I can tweak to make the A.I. more realistic?

Just so you know when you hold the right mouse button down to zoom in even more it also activates hold breath, so your aim will be very stable for a few seconds then it will be extremely shakey, since you can't hold your breath for long. It's a stupid control problem, so to fix it simply change the hold breath from the default "hold right mouse button" to something else in the control settings menu. Zooming in far should be much more usefull for you now.

I tryed it out and my fps has increased a bit, and the game feels smoother all around. Forests are slightly more playable and my fps in the northern part of the island has increased a lot. So, overall these are pretty good drivers. By the way i'm using a 7800GS.

Difficuly Settings.. What do some mean?
nate77 replied to devildog0514's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I've been wondering about that too. Anybody have an answer? -
You guys are forgetting something. Sure helicopters getting shot down very easily is realistic and you got to use more tactics while flying them, but this causes one HUGE problem: The A.I. pilots don't know how to use human tactics. Therefore if an A.I. controlled chopper or jet attacks a group of tanks, they won't survive for more than a minute. There lies the problem and this makes single player missions much more harder, along with making missions with A.I. controlled air support. Even some cut scenes in the U.S. version look retarded because some jet on a bombing run gets shot out of the sky by a T-72!

Thanks for the replies guys. But I still think it was much more fluid before. It's annoying to use the spacebar because once you let go the team is de-selected, so there is no way to use number orders, just point and click. The hold shift one is much better but still not as great as the original. But I guess I can just learn to live with it.
