    Linux init line

In Redhat 7.x I used to get the 5 different forked processes when the server was running (even if no one was playing on the OFP server). However, in my new redhat 9 server, Â I only get one process. Â Everything seems to be working fine: I have not seen a crash or unusual lagginess yet. Â However, I do know that something is not quite right, because the fork to the 5 processes does seem to happen, but only right at the moment that I kill the server! Â I guess this is another issue I will have to research...

Pb with dedicated linux server 1.91c

I upgraded to RedHat 9 last weekend and ran into the same problem. Â The server which used to work on RedHat 7.1, did not work on RH9.0 It took me a while, but I figured it out... Â Yes, the server does indeed work on RedHat Linux 9. Your linux box needs to be running the nscd (name service cache daemon), have a properly configured hostname in /sysconfig/network, and also, your hostname must appear with the appropriate address in /etc/hosts. That's all. L8r, Jorge.
