I can't believe I am just noticing this script. This kicks serious ass. It actually makes mission building so much easier, because you really don't even have to put in waypoints for the enemy units. Completely different experiences every time. Amazing. I haven't had tons of time to mess around (too busy enjoying this). I didn't notice anywhere if it is possible for the enemy to react to more than one group. I read the readme, and I don't remember it saying anywhere specfically, but I got the impression that it would only work with one group. Anyway, just wanted to say how much I like this thing. Does anybody have any missions made up with this that I can try out? I have a bunch of missions already, but I generally just make them for myself (mostly because I am too lazy to write breifings / storylines). -

Well, I haven't had any trouble with just updating the drivers. Pretty much identical to Nvidia. I was a long time Nvidia user until they dropped the ball last year. (I have no loyalty. Whoever has the best card at the time for an upgrade).

Not sure where to post this, but... I bought Red Hammer before Resistance was out. Played it, beat it, and somewhere over the course of my recent reinstalls / modding of OFP, I deleted the red hammer campaign. I still have the installer, but it says I can't install for some reason (I;m sure it has something to do with the payment verification). Who do I contact to get this campaign to work again. I bought it online, a long time ago, so I don't have the email / activation thing anymore, but I would imagine BIS has record of my payment. Any ideas?

just a suggestion and I have no idea if this will change anything. But I am using the tac events file from the MAP that the ECP team modified. I used to get errors like this, but recently I haven't . I dont' know if its coincidence but it might be worth trying. I know the new WGL tac events file was giving me grief. So I swithched to the one ECP has and haven't looked back.

I haven't extensively tested, but... it seems that there are actually 3 different tacevents files. The one from WGL does not work with the marines. There is a marine pack that was modified by the ecp team (look for their thread for the website). This version of the tac events file has not produced any errors for me for either the Marines Pack or the WGL pack. But like I said, I have only used them both in a couple missions. So far so good though.

I have a 9700 pro that doesn't do any of that. and hasn't with any of the last 5 sets of drivers. I guess I have been lucky because I have yet to have a problem in any game (for about 8 or 9 months since I've had the card. But I know people do have problems, so I don't deny they exist. Could it be just a factor of having a clean system? I dont' know, but everything hums along for me. The point is, don't assume you will have the problems just because many others are. People usually don't post about problems when they don't have them.

look for Dr. Destruction's topic a couple pages back. He wants to do the same thing (basically). I am willing to lend a hand also. I think this will work better with some collaboration. I think he planned on starting this weekend. Obviously a lot of people have the same idea. I know I have tons of missions that use the default BIS units, that would really rock with the units being replaced. Even the original campaign will be great to go through again. -
This kicks rear! I am also interested in those AI enhancements above (with a toggle option of course). What is the difference between the dust types in the ECP Options menu (BAS and Vasdfu34asjgue0A) Does one cause more lag than the other?

Also, there is a guy (can't remember his name right now) but he already did a lot of missions replacing the men with suchey's marines. Maybe the 3 of us could collaborate. Especially since he did a lot of work already. let me know.

If you tell me which missions you haven't converted and give send me one or 2 examples of missions that you have already done the replacement, then I will update a few for you. That way we can keep this going. I won't be able to do a lot of them, but maybe I can do like 5-10 of them. I'm busy as hell too, but If we split up the work, we can get more accomplished. If 1 or 2 other people help with with a couple missions then we are pretty much there. nubbin77@comcast.net

I'm all for this, except I'd rather have suchey's marines and weapons than INQ's - no offence to Inq. Suchey's stuff if just incredible.

Agreed Cero, however, I would like to be able to use it with ECP as well. If I had a clue how to do this replacement, I would do it in a heartbeat. I haven't had any luck converting between .bin and .cpp files, so I can't even attempt through trial and error. Maybe we should ask the ECP guys to look into this.... Everyone's asking them to incorporate Inquisitors mod into ECP, but these units blow Inq's away.

How is this going? is it possible to release the updated campaigns w/o the new animations? I'm really just interested in using the new soldiers in the campaigns (although the animations will be cool too later).

I too love this island but have trouble with its performance. I was wondering, (before I actually go ahead an do this, I wanted to see if it would be worth it) if I cut out a piece of this island that I really like (the big city and suburb in the middle) and put it on a 128 * 128 island, (which is much smaller than the 256 * 256 island its currently on) Do you think it will play more smoothly? Or will it not really make a difference because those areas are still crowded anyway? any thoughts?

No, we each have our own versions of OFP. But I will try deleting my user profile. I have to wait until monday to test it out. Thats our night for playing usually.

Playing around with my Brother (we play Co-op with each other only) and I accidentally "kicked" him. Now he cannot log back into my server. I searched through this forumn and found in one spot a reference that said to look in my user folder for a file called banned (or somthing to that effect). I have searched through every single file in my ofp folder and I cannot find anything that remotely resembles a banned ip listing file. What the heck do I have to do to get my bro to connect to me again. I thought the ban might go away with the passage of time, but its been 2 weeks since I did it. We've been using him as the host recently but he doens't have half the missions and his computer is a lot slower. So I need to figure out how to fix this (why did the kick button have to be where it is...). I'd be super appreciative of any help!!!! (My Bro will be even moreso)

Avon, thanks again for your response. You are amazingly helpful in this community. Searching for that document was the first thing I did (after i searched this forum for a solution). Once I found out the the name of the file was supposed to be I searched my entire hard drive, then I searched for just ban - still nothing. The last time we tried playing he was actually able to see my server, then he clicked on it to join and it told him "unable to connect" then he got booted. So I am still convinced its somehting within OFP because he can join me in other games.

Thanks Avon, Hmm, that doesn't make sense - I dont' have this file and I didn't create it. So why can't he connect to me anymore - this can't be coincidence that I kicked him and now he cannot connect anymore? BTW, I am not running a dedicated server, I am just hosting normally, perhaps this is why? Maybe its embedded somewhere else?

if I am not mistaken it (the t90) is here its included in the addon pack. keg's site Avon, thanks for your help, not exactly the approach i wanted to take, because I didn't think the patch would run with me going from version 1.91 to 1.91, but it appears to have added the addons (along with giving me some errors, but I was able to fix them). However it would still be cool if BIS had a link to all of its own individual addons in for people that were in my situation. Anyhoo, thanks again.

I just went through and cleaned up most of my addons, getting rid of all the one's I did not think i need. In the meantime, i believe I may have gotten rid of an official addon, the "mini", which apparently the FDF mod uses. Is there any way, any place to get the official addons from BIS? I have all the one's off the resistance CD. poking around, I see the that there is a mini within the 1.85 upgrade. Reinstall you say? Well I am at 1.94, using CE and, GMR explosion mod, and a number of other tweaks that I would rather not go and redo at this point. Is there any place I could download this or any such addons that I may have inadvertantly gotten rid of? If anyone could email me the "mini", that would be great. email at nubbin77@msn.com
