@Avon and scout- A question in all sincerity, out of curiosity: How are your viewpoints compared to the "average" israeli? Would you consider yourself extreme, normal, soft? Is there a great divide among the israelis or more of a broad concensus? I am trying to understand some of the social aspects of what a war can do to a person. What the climate is like in your immediate surroundings... This is very interesting to me, and I only wish we had palestinian people here to even out the debate somehow (although it would probably get ugly pretty fast ) Hope you will give my question some serious consideration...

Although I understand what you're saying, I wholeheartedly disagree. There is nothing more important than trying to understand an event such as this. So that we might prevent it in the future. You and I might be a part of a similar conflict one day. The worst thing you can do about war, if you're not part of it, is ignore it.

A guy is on the run from the police. He heads for this big logcabin on a hill, knocking frantically on the door. A beautiful woman opens the door. He starts to work his magic (Do you come here often..etc), and few minutes later he's inside ths house, siting in a nice armchair with a drink in his hand. He admires the structure of the cabin, which is supported by one huge crossbeam goin all the way across the ceiling. The woman starts undressing, and they are shortly after totally naked having a go at it on the floor. (okay so this is not a realistic tale, but wth...indulge me) Suddenly there's a loud banging on the door, and a policeman is shouting "Open up! We know he's in there!" The fugitive realises there's nowhere to go or hide, but the woman points to the crossbeam and he climbs on to it and is quite well hidden in time for the police to break down the door. The only thing showing, is his balls, which are hanging down from the crossbeams. The policemen make a quick search of the room, but can't find the fugitive anywhere. They are on the verge of leaving when the Inspector notices the guys balls hanging from the crossbeam. "What are those?", he asks the woman. "Oh!? Â ..uhm....that's Chinese Temple Bells" she replies. "Wow, really?" says the Inspector. "I've always wanted to hear what they sound like!" So he gives the guys balls a good whack with his stick. Nothing... So he whacks them again, harder. still nothing... "Hmm, that's odd..." says the Inspector, and he puts all his force into one more whack. After which is heard from above: "TING-A-LING, YOU MOTHERFUCKER"
