Jamesia, Where can I download that huge jet that's in your pic? bigpoppa, Where can i get the script that you can climb up a rope in a blackhawk? Also where can I download the rotor failure script for blackhawks?

Has anyone made a Hanger that the hanger doors will slide close and will slide open? And a tank depot that you can drive your tank in to repair it? Just thought that those would be cool to have for the game

Whats the best way to make a new world? With WrpEdit? Using Terragen first? Are there any good tutorials out there with screenshots that show you exactly how to make a new world/map from scratch? I followed through the one tutorial on the OFP Editing Centre, but the tutorial is basically how to edit an existing map I need a good tutorial on how to make a world from scratch Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is it possible to have a script so that if your on ground/infantry that 3rd person is disabled, but when your in a vehicle its enabled? Also is there a way to have a script that even though you have taken possession of an enemy vehicle (west takes east t80) that you show up as a friendly target on your team? It would reduces the number of FF.

America will be first, no doubt about that. Ă‚ Here in Canada we really don't have a huge space program like NASA. Ă‚ Not sure if Russia still is contributing money towards space travel. The only other might be China. Here are some interesting articles about the Columbia disaster Article 1 Article 2 Article 3

We only need to look at the fossil record for proof. Global catastrophes have happened quite regularly before, why would they suddenly stop happening? We don't need to find another Earth up there, since there are heaps of what we need just in our solar system. Unimaginable amounts of raw materials float around in quite a pure form in the asteroid belt. Coal, hydrogen and oxygen are available here and there for input into the circle of life. Energy is available in almost limitless supply in the form of solar power, which is very efficient if we don't have an atmosphere blocking the rays. We need to set up big space habitats, not find new planets to colonize. Living in the gravity well is a waste of energy anyway. This way we have 5 billion years to figure out how to get to other solar systems.<span id='postcolor'> I agree with you entirely about how space exploration is vital in the event that natural disaster could wipe out the earth or an astroid. But we "humans" could very well be the ones that make us exstinct with Nuclear war. That's what I meant that we are not ready for space exploration, we can't even be civilized with other inhabitants on this planet, let alone on another planet! I'm not saying stop space exploration completely or slow it down. Obviously it will take many years to finally explore outside our own solar system. I just hope that we do achieve the ability to travel outside our own solar system, that we "humans" are more stable and mature. And hopefully wars will be a thing of the past. I mean if we had the technology now and the way the world is today, it would be like the Cold War era, only difference would be that countries wouldn't be competing over weapons, they would complete over which planets to colonize for themselves!

After a Shilka or Vulcan is destroyed, you can still hear the constant firing of the Shilka or Vulcan in the spot where it was destroyed even though its not even there. I'm guessing its a spawn related bug, because the vehicle respawns after its destroyed, but yet you can still hear the constant firing in the same spot it was destroyed, Has anyone else seen this bug? Is there a fix for it?

Ă‚ <span id='postcolor'> Why is that? That space exploration is our only way for the human race to survive? Think about it this way. We just continue to mess up the environment on this planet to the point that is not inhabitable anymore, and then just find the next planet that is habitable only to mess it up as well? What have we learned if we do this? Absolutely nothing! We can't simply go rock jumping from planet to planet ruining the environment and eating up all its resources. What's wrong with repairing the planet we have now? I understand that space exploration is needed, but hell we can't even travel outside our own solar system yet.

I even heard that NASA might be developing an nuclear powered shuttle. Ă‚ Just think of how much worse an expolsion would be onboard a shuttle fitted with nuclear power! I agree Avonlady, NASA needs to find better ways to go into and return from space. Ă‚ Why aren't we using the alien technology from the Roswell crash to explore space? Ă‚ After all they used some of the technology through reverse engineering to develop the stealth technology on the F117 etc. But on a serious note, they do need to find a safer way to travel to and from space! Ă‚ From rocket to shuttle to Ă‚ Or perhaps its a hint that we are not ready for space exloration just yet! Ă‚ I mean after all we haven't sovled the problems down here on earth yet! I just hope when we have the capability to travel farther into space, that we "humans" have evolved and matured more. Ă‚ I would hate to see humans exploring and conquering other planets for domination!

I can see debris from the shuttle because it’s made up of materials that are to withstand re-entering earth’s atmosphere etc.  But wouldn't you think that a small arm patch would incinerate, I mean after all it’s made of fibre, not metal. Just seems odd that you would find an arm patch in the debris. I'm not saying it’s a cover-up or "conspiracy" etc.  Just seems a bit strange. IMHO I think NASA needs to focus a lot more attention on safety for shuttles etc.  I just hope that this horrible accident wasn't caused because someone overlooked something that lead to the disaster.  Or that it wasn't "cost effective" to replace a part that needed fixing.  I mean after all most people know that car manufactures simply don't recall all the minivans if a certain latch on the door is faulty.  Instead its cheaper and more cost effective for them to pay out of court settlements for those that file law suits against the car manufactures for those that have had family members die from faulty components, than it is to replace the latches.  Which just plain disgusts me! Also another factor is the shuttle was pretty old.  I mean I know its comparing apple to oranges when I say that most people buy a new car when its like 20+ years old.  I mean you can only repair and fix an old car for so long, and it will need to be replaced. But aferall only 3-4 casualties to 113th missions is a pretty good record.  Nothing is perfect in an imperfect world. My heart as well goes out to the friends and families of those that perished on Columbia  May they rest in peace and not have suffered!

Even tho people know about area 51, no one knows what actually goes on inside of it, excpet those that work there. So in actuality, what goes on there is kept from the public. It's not unlikely that abductions are true. I mean what better way to study the anatomy of humans than to abduct one. When we achieve space travel down the road, I bet we would do the very same if we found a alien creature or being. I've even read that the government and the "aliens" made some sort of deal to share technology. And one of the deals was they could abduct and conduct experiments on humans and they could do the same to the aliens. Whether or not this is true, who knows.

I also agree that mose of the UFO sightings are top secret/black project aircrafts being tested by the U.S government. But a lot of speculation has been surfacing that the "stealth" technology that was developed for the stealth bomber/fighter was reversed engineered from UFO's. Ă‚ Which IMHO is quite possible. But there is a very good reason why the U.S government gobbled up a lot of land at groom lake in Nevada. Ă‚ And why its guarded with extreme force. Ă‚ And that is to secretly manufacture and test new aircraft without the public knowing.

I read somewhere that the most UFO sightings occur is when Mars is the closest to Earth during its orbit... And also read that there were a lot of UFO sightings from Russia, German and U.S during WWII. If you were an advanced race, wouldn't you want to observe how another planet rages war on each other?

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (USMC Sniper @ Jan. 30 2003,04:47)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Yeah I also think it is possible we are descendants of aliens ourselves, and all of the sightings are actually aliens that are monitoring how we evolve, etc. I'm actually being serious now. Let's say this happened: The aliens came to earth a hell of a long time ago, and they left some of their own to evolve on earth. So those "leftovers" stayed here and evolved into us. The other aliens sometimes come to earth to see how we are evolving, how we behave, etc, that would also explain why we imagine aliens to look similar to ourselves, because those aliens evolved to adapt to their home planet, and the ones here evolved to adapt on earth. This is of course a theory, or better yet a suggestion. Just a thought. Good night all.<span id='postcolor'> I agree. Aliens could have colonized earth a long time ago and we are what is left after they left. I mean when we finally have the capability to reach other planets and live on them, its very possible that we will go around colonizing them. Hell it happened here on earth with the vikings etc. They wanted to explore earth and find out what other countries etc were out there. So they explored and built colonies.

I was watching this one video on this site and back during WWII the germans were developing VTOL planes because most of their runways had been destroyed by allied bombings. Ă‚ And some of those VTOL vehicles the german's developed had a saucer like shape to it. And everyone knows the allied adapted some the germans advanced projects, like the V2 rocket, Carpet bombing etc. Ă‚ And they also adapted from the germans VTOL vehicles as well. After studying and adpating the germans VTOL vehicles and made improvements, they kept this one particular vehicle top secret. Ă‚ They tested it in Nevada and it as well looked like a saucer. There is even speculation that what actually crashed in Roswell was not an alien saucer, but was one we created! Take a look at the video

Lets put it this way, if the U.S government had a special group of people look into UFO's, then it can't be some kind of hoax. Just like USMC Sniper put it, saying that we are the only species in the whole entire universe, is like saying that there is only tuna in the sea. I read somewhere that the ancient race the Sumarians, had symbols of what looks like a rocket ship in their tablets/hieroglyphs. Ă‚ And it was speculation that they had the ablility to travel through space. Ă‚ Who knows... One thing I thought was kind of spooky, is when they took photographs of mars, in the pictures it show what look like pyramids, and they cross referenced them to the ones found in Egypt. And what they found was the pyramids on mars are aligned exactly to the stars like the ones found in Egypt. Ă‚ Which is kind of spooky if you ask me. There is even a picture of Jesus, and in the background is what looks like a UFO. There is no mistaking it. I mean even back then if they are seeing things in the sky, then we can't be alone. Its not hard to believe that other species are traveling the universe and are curious of how other species live etc. I mean that's why we are developing new ways to go further into space is it not? Why go to the moon or mars if we are not curious of whats out there. So its very possible that another species that has the capability is doing what we will eventualy, and that is explore new worlds. It could be very possible we are aliens ourselves. Ă‚ I mean perhaps some dying alien race planted it seed on our planet to save their race from being completely exstinct. So many possibilities... Ă‚ But one thing is for sure, we are not alone. As i've said in another thread, IMHO I don't think we are ready to know the truth. Ă‚ We haven't evolved enough as a species to be told the truth. Ă‚ We can't even get along with the humans on our own planet and still fight wars etc. Ă‚ In time we will be told, when its the right time.
-
Well one thing is for sure, we can not be the ONLY species in the universe. Ă‚ It would be a waste of space if it was. Personally I think the Roswell cover-up is true. Ă‚ Something did crash in the desert, and it wasn't from Earth. BUt IMHO I don't think mankind is mature enough or rather, ready to know that we are not alone. Why? Ă‚ Well we can't even get along with others on this planet. Ă‚ Also introducing that there is life on other planets would change a lot of things, ie religion etc. When mankind is ready to know the truth, we will be told. But IMHO we are far from ready to know, especially with wars still happening.

However for a UFO, something known for having GREAT manuverblity, it sure is hard to handle. It's like flying a bulkier Mi17. Or and the armour could be lowed a bit I have only been blown up by running into the ground, which is often not sure if it's due to the shape or due to poor handling. I've landed the thing into the middle of 5 groups of T80s and I didn't even notice a dent in my armour after they all opend fire<span id='postcolor'> Actually the (gunner) UFO version has weak armour. One blast from a t80 was able to bring it down. The (invisible) version of the UFO is almost indestructable though. Also you have to take into consideration that's its his first release of it. So I'm sure he is going to make a lot of changes on it later

Speaking of modeling and texturing. I came across this site the other day, its a site devoted to cgi modelers and texturers. Ă‚ The stuff these people do is truly amazing stuff. Take a look at this model and texture! I wish I could do the amazing stuff these people can do
