i was playing ofp on lan with my friend who brought his comp to my house we were playing a custom map i made with all the vehicles and we were trying them out and stuff out of nowhere theres the really high beeeeeeeeeeeep and his comp overheated it was really funny cos it sounded like one of those life support machines when someone dies anyway his machine is a amd k6 500 gf2mx i just like to share that little anecdote .... *cough* ok i'll leave *walks away with head down*

stop bad mouthing GR gr is a way better simulation of spec ops than ofp think about it GR is based on landwarrior thats why you cant see the gun cos there is a video feed piped to the mobile hud from the top of the gun landwarrior also allows you to use GPS which explains why you can pinpoint location of teamates on the map the threat indicater IS nrealistic but its there because it is hard to see someone in a bush dressed in good camo, besides you could always turn it off you talk about atmosphere, the best atmosphere ive felt in any game so far is multiplayer GR, firefight, creeping through bushes with an SA80

23.11 makes ofp run slightly smoother but i still cant enable w buffer from the video menu do i have to do some command line thing or what?

what kind of performance increase would w buffer give for say a geforce2 pro? atm i run in 1024x768x32 on a p3 800 and it goes around 25-35 fps on that malden intro (where the apc comes along and shoots those russian doodes)

setting your ram thingy in ofp preferences to something lower than your actual ram amount e.g. i have 256mb of ram and i set it to 196mb in the ofp preferences and it made the game less jerky

when i am using internet connection sharing on my home network and i play opflash, the game pauses every 2 seconds or so it gets very annoying when i turn of ICS it goes normal again anyone know a fix for this cos i wanna play ofp with my brother over the internet my specs are: pentium 3 800 abit VH-6 motherboard 256mb pc133 ram geforce 2 pro 64mb ddr using windows xp with microsoft internet connection sharing over a 100mbit crossover network internet is adsl

m21 is m14 with scope m14 is a newer verson of a m1 carbine he ak-74 does fire a 5.45mm nato round or there abouts but not a 7.62 you can buy ak 47s from pakistan or south africa for about 600 dollars the real world range for the druganov and m21 is around 150-200m and they are not dedicated sniper rifles such as a psg 1 IMO ofp does not accurratly simulate sniping accuratly if you wanna snipe play ghost recon and i think there is wind in ofp but it only goes in 1 direction?

erm.. im on windoze xp so everythings diffferent anyway my cdroms warranty runs out in november 2001 and it screwed up on november 30th at 11:30 pm !!! so tommorrow im gonna scrounge a new cd drive
