The interview Sig posted about in January is what I was thinking of. I meant to type "preview".

I did a Google search for ACE mod to see if any sites had some info on it and found that they now have an official site. I'm surprised none of the ACE guys posted this yet http://ace.usmc-warriors.org/ And any updates on the Sim HQ review?

Here's a Youtube video that shows a quick way to set yourself up to use the GBU. Link

It happens most frequently when the pilot is bad because he has "no yoke."
-
Another surprise. Who would have thought we'd be getting 1.09 and CWR within days of each other? Thanks a bunch!

Awesome! Thanks for the surprise, BIS. Downloading now

This happens to me sometimes, but not in ArmA. I think it is due to either badly installed video drivers or a malfunctioning video card. Try reinstalling the latest ATI drivers, and make sure you follow the proper steps to the process.

It can definitely be done. Distances are already measured when move orders are issued. The LCD display would likely pose more of a problem.

The first mission I have seen to completion. I finally buckled down and learned a few scripting commands to allow me to work out an idea of mine. Mission description: On the way to the LZ in Everon, an enemy Shilka shot down your helicopter. The pilot made a successful crash landing, but the MH6 has been disabled enough to keep it from flying. Your mission remains as it was before this event. Our RAC allies have informed us of a depot of T-72 tanks located in the south portion of Everon. Blow this depot and take out whatever enemy force occupies the town. Armor in Everon Armaholic mirror thanks to Big Comments welcome. This has only been tested with AI teammates. I would like to play through with human players, so speak up if you are interested.

Where is this config file? I want to try this fix out, but upon review of the files in Arma, I dont see any file called config.something or something.cfg. Can you tell me the name of the file and give me the path to it please? Look in C:\Documents and Settings\**your name**\My Documents\ArmA The file will be called ArmA.cfg and it can be opened with notepad.

I'm trying to find some nicer looking sights for the WGL mod. My search has been very unsuccessful so far. What I want is something like there is in the GRAA pack or FFSX pack. My attempt at using the WST_Weapons.pbo from GRAA in WGL failed. Can anyone link me to an addon like this, and instruct me on how to install it? I've been searching on every OFP site I know but have found nothing. Edit: Okay, it seems I overlooked the fact that WGL does have new ironsights, but these aren't available in the default campaign. Is there a way I can make it so that these sights are used in campaign? Or will I have to download a different addon? Edit again: I'm an idiot. There is a section on the WGL forum about this. Sorry for the inconvenience, though a link to an optics pack for vanilla OFP/R is still welcome. I didn't see the WGL mod unbalanced the campaign so much, and now I'm gonna play through normally.

Whenever I play, I get a message saying that ffur_slx_settings.sqf can not be found. The game still works, but I have to click through this window every time a mission is loaded. I installed first FFUR/SLX 1.0 then 1.01 patch then 1.05. Did I miss a patch or something? I can see the ffur_slx_settings.sqf file in the main folder. Edit: Disregard this. solved it by changing the name of the FFSX folder back to ffsx2007. I had added a @ to the front, which was causing the problem.

I'm going to echo this. I just played my first co-op game on the private Evolution server, and it was a lot of fun. Good teamwork, nice players, and not incredibly strict with rules.

From Maruk's 1.07 Post In News Are we sure that that quote means that there will be bullet holes? I was responding to this quote. Notice the language mentions impact, not bullet holes. Sorry. "Impact" is already drawn in the form of dust puffs when a vehicle or object is shot, so I believe the post refers to actual bullet holes.
