Mr Zig offered a solution to be able to install the sprocket version of the game. However, changing ARMA.LOCKED TO ARMA.EXE changes the type of file without letting me switch it back to ARMA.LOCKED. It shows it as ARMA.LOCKED.EXE How do I fix this? I had to reinstall the game.

I changed ARMA.LOCKED to ARMA.EXE and it won't go back to locked. It shows as ARMA.LOCKED.EXE What now?!

I had OCed my previous motherboard so im not a total noob at this. I have a artic cooling preeezer 7 with artic silver 5. I'm idiling at 42C running 3.0Ghz on the e6600. No blue screen or death. I might go back to stock speeds since I don't really need the overclock. I was debating whether the cpu should be a priority or a gpu. I want to wait for prices to drop on GPUs or the new models to come out before i upgrade.

I'm using asus p5b-e which has auto overclocking tools (Don't know how good it is). I get 20 frames when zoomed in the forest areas Cameron could you help me figure what paremeters to change for overclocking manualy in the bios?

ok basically everyone should use PAA since if you want to use face camo to blend in people who have ati will see you right away if you are using JPG even if you have nvidia.

I kept the file size at 73ks. The weird thing is that other people can see it but I can't. When I look at custom faces from other people they look washed out and very pale. I think my game is not loading custom face correctly because other people can see mine just fine. This is the sprocket version of the game. Any ideas?

it wasn't fixed in any patches and 512 res for paa is still pretty high. Had to bring it down to 256

Update, Another person confirmed that lag will freeze the game and track ir for a few seconds. I'm currently checking performance during single player

reporting back in. Resolution is not the cause of the problem. Software was erased and reinstalled yet issue remains. I wondering if its realted to my system chugging while uploading CPU info or GPU info. I don't have issues at all with the trackir in other games like lock on though. Vin, I'm using left Ctrl key to talk on teamspeak, i wonder if pressing that key has anything to do with the freezes. I doubt it. Could there be a conflict with they keys settings in game? Does the trackir input stop working if there is lag in multiplayer?

Hey guys I live on a college campus and we have a firewall. However I have managed to host and play Arma without much trouble; however my ping is horrible even though I get 54Mbps on wireless and 10Mbps on the wired connections. I also get the red link and get disconnected from game and sometimes it completely kills my internet connection to the point I lose TS and or anything internet related. At this point I have to restart my computer to gain the connection back. Any info or input on this is welcomed

How do I check that? I am almost certain that I go throught a proxy but what I don't understand is why or how it affects my connection.

so you think it's them bumping me? By the way my ping is always shown to be 400+ and yet do not lag all over the map or anything like that. Could that be related to anything?

Thanks for the reply Vin, I did that already but it was still freezing. I did notice something. My desktop resolution was different than my ingame resolution. I adjusted them so they were both the same and I haven't had the problem ever since. Does the track IR require same resolution from desktop to ingame to work properly? I'll report back when I have spent more time testing this.

nope. I uninstalled it and reinstalled from the orginal CD. I'm not sure if the latest software is meant to be for the trackir 3 and 4 or just 4. So i have he original software withthe game updates
