  3. thanks i will try that. bah, after reading my tutorial... it said exactly what you said haha. it said put the name in the Name field. man i feel like a idiot. thanks yeah, that fixed it. thanks man. now onto continuing my mission!

    same question, how do we "repack" this? Use PBO software that can both read and write prefix headers when working with PBOs, they are required by ArmA. sorry for being a noob, but where can i find a program like that. google doesn't seem to lead me anywhere. Thanks.

    OFP causing weird sound problems.

    i had this problem too. my computer restarts after it crashes. in ofp the sound is like slow-mo it just sounds really wierd. maybe its an onboard audio problem.? or soundcard issue? my specs: ATI 9550 256mb, 1GB Ram, 2.8GHZ Celeron D it happens occasionaly. latest was using FFUR 2006 while having a mission on Desert Nagova/ 3 AT people / Apache and 3 t90 tanks on top of a hill. Apache takes the tank out then it slows down like crazy. i had Opera browser working in the background downloading something and MSN open.

    Videos. the multiplayer looks fun. cant really complain. looks alot better than GR2 and much more like GR1. hope its as good as they say it is.

    all era's that way all the fanboys of every era will be happy. but this would take too long to create. my opinion gos out toward s 2010, hopefully they will incorperate some of the future warrior stuff, watched the videos on my Ghost Recon 2 cd and it looked like a cool concept.     Mogadishu houses pack released!

    yeah, maybe a few areas based on satellite images. these buildings are the shit. im making a mission on desert island called Forbidden City its the part where the rangers are securing the four corners of the target building. im basing it off the movie. got my portable dvd player at the points where i can pause it and see what it looks like and design it from there. cant wait to see the final outcome.

    this would do great with bas tonal islands. maybe create a new island that uses some of the buildings from it. multiple islands one with the leading up of mogadishu one of the other parts of somalia for the delta boys. christ this with a few other mods will make it a black hawk down mod. Lasers Deltas/rangers bas tonal for the militia bas blackhawks CBT's humvee pack bas mh-6 pack and a well designed islands.

    Briefing screen - Load out

    even if they gave us a new setting in the mission editor where each unit has a place to pick its weapon. for example: click on the unit, go into its properties - goto weapon (pick its weapon loadout this could be divided into 3 categories Primary Secondary and AT/AA/G/deployable MG.) i would personally send a gift in the mail if they did that. maybe some lotions and a all day pass to the spa they want. hahaha

    another cool idea would use hand signals and spacing. so your units watch your hands and do the right thing your telling them to.

    i talked to JOHN last night on msn, he has a fixed version no blinky textures and a much smoother fire. i think he said he sent it to OFP.info but he said something after i didnt catch. i like them right now IMHO i think these are one of the best fires to date. give it time and patients and it will be awesome.

    use -nomap -nosplash turn the terrain res down and try not to use DXDLL my ati radeon 9550 had the same problem. this fixed it. forgot to add: change how much memory it uses. ofp preferences. tweak it and try it, if its working good. your set.

    Alpha Specs - Hardware

    I think it should work well but 1 thing next time when you want to upgrade your PC dont get celeron processor just an advise I had a 1.2 gig Celeron for a while and it coped very well with everything I threw at it including OFP! I ran it alongside a 2 gig pentium 4 with the same graphics card in each and the performance difference was not as great as U might think. Moral: Don't scoff at a Celeron, they are still good processors! yeah celerons will always be around, they are a cheap way to get performance. like he said, plus this is still at stock speed. i can overclock it to something like 3.2-3.4ghz and it will be fine. very cool processor i mean that in a cold way. all i really lack is the ram to support it, 512mb doesnt get you far. neither does a Radeon 9550.

    sorry, i know this isnt a VBS1 forum, but i found it hard trying to locate one that has a vast number of members. so i decided to look here, post in off-topic as it is off-topic. lol, well my question is pretty obvious but i need to know where i can buy VBS1 with a paypal? if this is a bad place to post. ill delete the thread!!

    will my machine work good? Celeron D 2.8ghz ATI Radeon 9550 (hates ofp took me a week to get it working -nomap and -nosplash fixed it) 512mb ram (probably upgrading to 1.5gb)
