@ denoir I live very close to both Kosovo and Bosnia and can tell you that if peacekeepers pulled out today there would be at least skirmishes if not something bigger in a matter of days.

@ schweizer hahahahahahaha....good one!

@ Quicksand Do you know how West Bank came under Israeli occupation? Probably not, cos if you had known you wouldn't be writing such bull. Of course diplomacy is the ultimate answer, the people (minority/majority doesn't really matter in a state like it is today) just aren't ready to make compromises. I ain't justyfying HAMAS,PLO,Al Aksa Brigades, but if they see this as a means to an end let them kill themselves. A lot of would be school attendants already died, on both sides, you seem to forget that it takes two to brawl. Looking forward to your reply.

Don't tell me that there isn't a single school in Palestine that isn't ready for class. I know some people of Arab origin, well educated, well spoken and most importantly they are very good people. What would you do if there were millions of Arab extremists (not all Arabs go into this category) on one side and the sea on the other? And AFAIK, part of the land which is supposed to be Palestine, Israel captured in a DEFENSIVE war(s). I don't remember the Palestinians winning any wars recently, do you? All they can do is cowardly attacks on civilians, which in turn portrays a not so well looking picture of the Palestinian personality as a whole. edit:darn, Joku beat me to it=>last paragraph

@ kavoven You're a silly boy (man?) who's putting words into other peoples (mine atm)mouth. I won't even bother with you anymore, you're not even worth it. But still my advice to you stands. p.s.:now i really wrote bad stuff about other people!!!

@ rishon That and oil, not weapons of mass destruction; your president is a liar and a con; the Bush dynasty wants oil fields just like their family friends, the monarchy of Saudi Arabia. Don't get me wrong, I respect ALL the fighting men and women, but not your government nor the false pretenses which lead to the invasion.

And about "rascist" comments: Saddam did pay families of suicidal attackers. And then those same families came crying out in front of TV cameras "Oh, Jews killed my Ali"! If they put them through proper school, not that religious brainwashing they're getting now, things would be different. Then they would dream of buying Jewish property not destroying it. There isn't just armed struggle, you know.

@ kavoven What walls do you know that haven't been used for keeping people out/in? Memorial ones being exception. And what guards on the walls wouldn't do their duty? How come you don't try to negate "In Berlin's case there were Germans on both sides, regardless of the political directions their governments took(or were forced to take). There was common interest for the wall to go! East Berliners were driving cars 100km/h through checkpoints just to get to the west" 'Cos you can't. Would an Israeli really defect to Palestine? Or vice versa? My advice to you is; when you see a post that you don't agree with, think about it for 10 minutes and then write a reply.

I know a lot about Rollin' Thunder, but I guess you need infantry info, right?

Why are you even having this debate? Server owners will/can do whatever they like to whomever they like. I don't own a server, but can completely relate to the problem. As for 12yo +/-3 years, it's good their numbers are down. I played UT (all of them) a lot and man do i hate little kids. The newest UT is the worst, it has an equivalent to teamspeak in OFP, and then you can hear stupid little adolescents singing, being immature, plain down rude etc...it's horrible, i stopped playing it because of little f*****g kids who's voice hasn't even mutated and they wanna give me a lecture; i killed them 95% of the time but it still took the pleasure away. Little kids should stick to MarioKart and leave the big boys games alone. Just my 2 cents

hahahaha like Germans did to Sevastopol (and tried at Stalingrad) in WW2. Your plan of guarding only oil related facilities would result in a "crime & terrorist haven" and would bring nothing but bad life for most Iraqis.
-
You all equate it to the Berlin wall. Why? There's no point. In Berlin's case there were Germans on both sides, regardless of the political directions their governments took(or were forced to take). There was common interest for the wall to go! East Berliners were driving cars 100km/h through checkpoints just to get to the west. How many Palestinians (apart from the suicidal ones) did you hear about "defecting" to Israel? These are not the same people, they've hated each other for a long time. Until the attacks stop on both sides the wall is gonna stand; there's even probably going to be another one built=>this time on the legitimate Israeli border. And before you all start to flame me, think what you would do in Ariel Sharon's place.
-
@ apollo I guess you have no idea what gadgets are going to be installed in the wall and behind the wall; ie small radars, microphones, seizmic detectors etc. If you take all that into perspective it makes sense (from a security point of view)
-
The wall is being built so deeply in Palestine territory so that the remaining area to Israel's border can serve as a buffer zone.

I saw people sawing the "special tool" which was locking their car.

@ Avon There's always been a very thin (relative)line between illegal combatants and let's say freedom fighters or terrorists. The days of Hagana(i think i remember the name correctly)being an example. (just one of many) And of course the infamous fact that the winner writes history.

Hate is a rather strong word, don't you think? Incompetence, ignorance, narrow vision, deceitfulness (hope it's spelled right) and generally a rats face are the associations I get.
-
It all stinks, now they're gonna blame each other in hope that the voters will get confused. IMHO this is just sand in everybody's eyes to clear GWB.

@ bn880 Sure there is. But that would be my life...

@ Balschoiw I ain't that very old, but my dad took me on a shooting trip in Israel. He and a bunch of his colleagues were invited, and while we were there I got the chance of a first hand look on how a suicide attack looks like. Can't say I saw the attacker, but we were walking down the street and suddenly this huge boom and dust out of one of the bars. Afterwards a bloody site, human remains(parts) lying around etc don't really wanna talk about it, it was messy. Point is we were ~500m away, another 3 minutes and I'd probably be a goner, and for what, because some crazy, fanatical moslem wanted to deliver a message. Hope this helps you understand why I feel the way I do.

I think a lot of the people in Europe feel that Iraq is/was an oil issue. I think a feeling of slight envy can be felt throughout the old continent. Some might even be sorry for not being in the "coalition" and now want the transition of power towards the Iraqi governing council (IGC) to happen as fast as possible. In a spirit "don't let to much oil slip into America"; although the same man remains in charge of the Iraqi oil ministry after the formal take over of power by IGC. That is the same man America put there. Tex you nailed it right on, the only ruler above all is money. I'd bet that if GWB would come up with a more nondesputable explanation of why to attack Iraq, and together with it offered financial benefits there'd be Desert Storm 2, not Operation Iraqi Freedom. If he just wouldn't behave so Texan about it, can't say it any other way, the leaders of Europe would quickly find ways of convincing Europeans that war with Iraq is a viable option

Iva, I'm sorry but you don't understand. Tito's Yugoslavia had kept things in check for almost 50 years. As soon as he died, the Serbian nationalist ego awoke through the form of Slobodan MiloÅ¡ević, who then exploited it for the good of himself and the select few. I know you are of Serbian nationality, I mean not to offend you, but open your eyes, read a couple of books on how MiloÅ¡ević ran the state for 10-12 years and there's the indesputable fact that JNA started all the wars in ex-Yugoslavia. Genocide was commited by all sides, true but again Serbs through JNA and Arkan's tigers and similar started it all. Looting, rape, pillage, can't imagine how it must have been for everyone. I'm glad we kicked JNA's ass in those 10 days of Slovenia's war for independence, look where we are now, EU, NATO, memberhip in almost every organisation imaginable (even the crappy ones, in the Euro-Atlantic area), our companies are building up their assets throughout the ex-Yuga. They think even further, the entire Balkan peninsula. And in Serbia again, Seselj is climbing to power. Hope you and him don't repeat the same mistakes. btw, love your M-80! it's fantastic oh @ denoir: Tudjman and Milosevic agreed to split Bosnia in half, so Croatia isn't only partially involved in this, nor it is only a victim

I'm from Slovenia, just south of Austria, in case you don't know; small country.

To do GWB's crusade?

Hey who's violating. Intent isn't action! I just told what I feel is the right thing, if they wanna ban me, they can, I take full responsability for my actions(things I post). And not like we have a huge population on the forum who find this out of order! I bet if they knew how they'd do it already. Do you like to see masked men decapitating people? Probably not, unless you have a distorted mind, which I would presume you don't
