  1. Here is some more Information, about the problem.  I am on dial-up... 56k, but only truly get 46k... as do most people.  (hope to have this remedied  soon  YEA fixed wireless! But I did some testing.  Originally it was said that 1.42 did some improvements to handle ICS, and when I first started playing the game under 1.30-1.40 I was using ICS and connecting without a problem. I upgrade to 1.42 and it too seem to work, but I don't remember if the servers I was connecting to were 1.42 or 1.41 or even 1.40 at the time. The server is now 1.42 But I tried unloading and reloading ICS to set the setting back to the default.  Still no luck.. Then I tried running OFP on the ICS machine connected directly to the Internet... no luck... then I turned ICS off.... No luck...Tried it again. and got a really crappy connection of like 900ms...normally I get 250 or < ms to this particular server even when I was running under ICS.   So, then I went through the hassle of installing a modem on my gamming machine and start to get connect on a regular basis. It connects better then 900ms but still nothing like was it use to be, server problem, ISP problem don’t know.  So the bottom line is, unless there are some setting on the server side that needs to be made, is that ICS is NO LONGER compatible with the 1.42 upgrade running against the 1.42 Server. This will definitely put a damper on me playing this game when I go to broadband, because I have no intention of using my gamming machine as my broadband machine.  I have another rig set for that, which is the one currently running ICS.
  2. Thanks for the repies guys, but that doesn't fix  the problem. I am using ICS under Me  not ICS/ICF under win2K or XP, and I have my Sygate firewall completely shutoff.  I had it working under ICS... but if I set the MTU back using TWEAKALL then my network suffers bigtime.  Plus I tried to set it back and it had no effect on OFP, just made my stuff really slow copying over the LAN to the ICS machine.  I change the MTU on ICS.  The Ethernet card is at the standard of 1500 and the modem is at 576 witch is the optimal for a modem.
  3. I changed the mtu because ICS had it set too low. Whenever I copied a file from the ICS machine it worked fine and fast, but every time I would copy to the ICS machine it was worse then a 56K copy. Since I bumped up the MTU on the ICS the 100mb works like it should. Now copies to and from the ICS machine are fast. I used tweak all to access it. I have tried putting the settings back the way there were, but no luck, other then slow copies to the ICS machine. I always turn my firewall off and virus scan when I play, so those shoudn't be the cause(I hope). But it use to work and now it acts as if my user ID (that number) is ban globally from playing on-line. Don't know what else it could be. It just all of a sudden stopped working. I get connected and just before the assign screen finishes loading, I get dumped!
  4. All of a shudden.. as I have been using 1.42 for a while, but all of a shudden I can no longer connect to any server. Â I keep getting a lost session error. Â This is to server that I had been able to connect to before. Â Like the day before, and now I can't. I can't get ANY server to work now....HELP! Anyone else have this problem? Â I am using ICS, but have never had this problem before. Â I change some setting on my mtu on the ethernet card to speed up my 100MB network, but all my other MP game still connect... it just seems to be OFP. Â

connect with 128kb/sec to dedicated Server

I can't help you with the issue, but can says as someone who connects via 56k. Now all of a shudden I can't connect to any MP servers. All I get is a lost session error. Does anyone out there have any idea on how to fix this? I am running a ICS through to a 56K modem? I basically can't play MP at all any more. Any settings on the modem machine that I could check?
