Please, please help guys - Win XP

Love your work Mr Frag and Torpan... thanks for taking the time out. I definitely should have provided you more background so here it is: I have had awful troubles with this new computer. I bought all the parts and after I had had a cardiac with how slow it was, I bought another HDD and new RAM because I had no idea what was wrong =( Here goes: AMD Athlon 1.4ghz @ 1.4ghz, 512mb KingMax DDR 300, Windows XP (with all critical updates thus far, A-Bit KG7-RAID Mobo, Current Via 4 in 1 drivers, IBM 40gb 7200rpm HDD, Winfast Gf2 GTS pro running the latest detonator drivers, Herculese Fortismo 2 sound card, Network card with Cable connection. AOPEN h600a Case with 300w power supply. Thermosonic Thermoengine 5400rpm HSF. Sony 16*10*40 CD-RW. I am in fact in a hot room in the front of my house so as well as the HSF, the northbridge fan, and the case fan that were standard I installed two top of the range sunon fans. I bought molex adaptors so they weren't using the motherboard power. I really am at my wits end. Note as well that I have problems with Internet explorer crashing and that this is my second hard drive and a completely new set of RAM. Could it be my Mobo? You help is VERY much appreciated! Thanks... Brian
  2. Hi... I'd really appreciate any help I can get =( I have Win XP and have downloaded all the OFP upgrades as aswell as all the Win XP upgrades. However, whilst playing the game I am experiencing either constant restarts of my computer (it will crash and then the computer restarts) or just a crash that returns me to Win Xp desktop. It's really unpredicatable. Sometimes it might be at the start of a single player mission. Othertimes it's unpredictable. Does anyone know what is wrong? I remember there was a windows 2000 patch. Do I need to download that? Thanks heaps for your time... Brian
