I am quite new to mission editing only taken it up recently. I have respawn script that makes units spawn with full weapons. How do I use/activate it? I want to select a group of units to respawn with this script.
-
Yeah its called Chain of Command, just found it... sarcasm got you two no where.

Havent played OFP for a while but me and me m8 decided to play it on LAN today. I wanna make some missions but cant remember the name of the tool for making large scale battles?
-
Thanks mate thats very helpful, so that should respawn all units inlcuding tanks etc WITH the players inside. I will give that a try on my day off from work tomorrow.

I downloaded an extra mapping editing utility or addon ages ago but I cannot remember what its called, anyone know? All I can remember was you could create large groups of 64 troops or more with large formations, its used to creating giant battles.

I take it no one has any idea then?

Hi people, I'm a newbie to map editing, only done a few basic maps to date mostly multiplayer. I'd like to know though how I get all units to respawn with full weapons and armour. I know I need a script, but the ones I've used only respawn units with the basic equipment and my AI people won't get back in their tanks or choppers etc. Also is there a way to stop retreating or make units retreat to a certain area? Please help,

Just found this article: http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/ Danger! OFP can delete your entire disk partition. Several OFP players have reported having entire directories or even complete disk partitions deleted at some point while playing OFP. At first, this was generally dismissed as a general PC error affecting a random handful of players for some unknown reason. However, On June 12, 2003, BIS admitted that there is a bug in OFP versions 1.75 through 1.91 that can cause this problem under the following circumstances: If the user creates a multiplayer server in DirectPlay mode and the TCP/IP protocol is not fully supported or is not working properly (e.g., it's disabled under Windows Network settings or there's a firewall disabling TCP/IP). The problem can never happen when running an OFP multiplayer server in Sockets mode, when playing single player missions or campaigns and when playing under OFP 1.46 and below under any circumstances. Therefore, in order to avoid the risk of data loss on your PC, BIS strongly recommends that you do not create any multiplayer servers in DirectPlay mode when running OFP versions 1.75 through 1.91. More information will be presented as details become available.

Does operation flashpoint like on-board sound?
muzzmuzz replied to Judge Rabbi's topic in TROUBLESHOOTING
Generally performance is not suffered when using Onboard rather than a PCI card. Since Onboard Sound systems received instructions from a CPU at the same speed as a PCI slot you shouldn't notice any problems. I've only noticed a difference in sound quality really, with PCI obviously giving better sound out then Onboard. When it comes to sound problems with games the obvious is the check bios settings, update drivers, check OS setup and ingame settings. If Onboard still gives you trouble try a cheap PCI card, a Sound Blaster 5.1 PCI card is avalible from most places now for Å15.99+. Sometimes Onboard sound systems can cause problems due to heat problems, you must remember that everything is connected, though Bluescreen errors are normally caused by software problems. Sadly you have one of those problems that not easty to diagnose. I run a C-Media Onboard system with an ASUS board + Athlon XP 2800+ and a Radeon 9700 Pro and 1024mb DDR RAM and I must say the system performed exactly the same when I had a Å70 Sound Blaster Live Audy thing card in there. IF you choose to buy a PCI card to see if that helps having both enabled though will certainly causes crashes. As a rule Onboard sound needs to be disabled in the bios settings but sometimes even when this is done a PCI card will still conflict. My advice would be removing the PCI card and getting the latest drivers for the C-Media system. Remove all the drivers for both and then reboot. Next install the latest C-Media drivers and do a bios update through the ASUS update utility, get the latest flash, reboot and hopefully that will sort it out. If you want to use the PCI card, instead of installing the C-Media option just remove those drivers and disble in the bios after flashing. Latest drivers will certainly cut out any Bluescreen problems, if not try the version before the latest. -

Spawnmanager3 discussion
muzzmuzz replied to -)rStrangelove's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
This is probabley a dumb question but I am looking for a respawn script that respawns both troops and tanks etc with full weapons and equipment. -
Hi Peeps, Dunno why but I used to have 102 posts but for some reason they've gone? Anyhow been playing OFP for ages now and been editing the multiplayer maps for mates and me to play on a LAN against the AI. Though we've grown bored, I've created a MP map with 2 sides of around 100 troops + tanks attacking eachothers bases in a battle royale. My question is I need a decent respawn script... the one I have works but everyone respawns with just an M16 or AK and one mag. Can someone tell me where or post the coding here for a script that will respawn peeps with full equipment, also is there anyway to respawn tanks, jeeps etc with crews inside as my one respawns with the crew outside and they don't get back in.

The way I could see that working without to much CPU destruction would be to create dodgy looking 8bit trees in a 32X32 resolution, though they'd look crappy!
