Im realy pleased BIS made this decision, before I thought there would be tons of crappy addons like headless chickens and spaceships, now I am reassured. Yeah, I cant wait it will be fun to see what is released and nice to know that the addon will have been approved by BIS. Another sensible reason why BIS didnt release it to anybody is becuase they would have wasted their time making the resistance mod becuase people could make similar copies before the game is released by using screen shots of stuff like the motorbike

Hey stop giving BIS hassle, they made the darn game I think they should decide what they want. If you think about it look how much support they are giving us by releasing patches, upgrades, new campaigns. They also try to respond to some of our questions and improve the game with things we suggest. take a look at what they said will be in the Resistance mod, a motorbike, industrial buildings,improved graphics, etc, I have seen all of these suggested by the comunity. Also if you have a good enough model to import why dont you contact BIS, its worth I try and Im sure they will be more than fair. DO you believe your crap at making models then? its not like they are saying they will never release it, they said only they are going to support projects. It doesnt say mods, like different campaigns

I think BIS were spot on only releasing this to certian people. it keeps the standard of work high becuase they personally judge it to see if should get the go ahead to get into this game. I dont see why you are all moaning about it not being released to anyone, have any of you e mailed BIS to show off your handywork? It will keep the number of addons down and will make it unlikely that 2 models of the same thing will be released. It will also keep online gaming simple because people wont have to downlaod crappy models that they hate! I bet your models are shit anyway Espectro

I'm glad that BIS has made the right decision. If they had released it to anyone then there would be too many different models of the same thing like SA80, huey etc. Also for people that are lucky enough to have a fast enough connection to play online, it would mean everybody would have to download shitloads of addons to play

Why dont you use a grenade? This game is about realism, which is why BIS never put in sidearms

I can answer that in one word, REALISM. They would all be pointless for this type of game, how many missions have you played where you have got closer than 50m? Also would you realy want to take on a man with a automatic weapon? And even though handguns have light recoil you could only hit something while running if it was at point blank range.

One thing I would like to say is STARWARS, it wont work. The patriot anti scud defence didnt work in the Gulf so I really doubt this will. Also it doesnt have the backing from any countries and if the US went ahead and put a early warning system in britain, there would be public outcry and demos.

But the auctual foot and mouth desiese came from a third world country(cant remember which) and the experts say it was food that was sold illegal in britain and produced in a that 3rd world country. Also did anyone notice how the press automaticaly tried to blame the army becuase there was a barracks near the first outbreak
