    Arma and Vista

Dammmn. Good thing I've read this before contemplating getting a new system and use Vista! I do have a question though: What version of Vista are you using? I know there is a basic home version of Vista that does not carry the Aero interface (which I don't care much about), has anyone tried ArmA on it?

Separate editing forums - was it a good idea?

Voted no under the impression that: Yes = Keep things as they are No = Move ArmA editing forum to ArmA Section Didn't know there was an editing forum... I thought they all go under Addons and Mods... (didn't look hard enough, I was )

    Expansion: Arma: Queen's Gambit

Ok, I'm interested... good to see new stuff coming soon *opens up a bottle of CHAMPAIGN* I guess if I already bought the game I might as well pay a little extra to make it complete But... I fear the Mercenaries' chronic dress code disorder may be incurable (seriously, wassup with the hippie (Truth from GTA:SA) looking dude?) Other than that, more scenery, more tanks, more story.... what the other guys said.

    Final Countdown

Another funny thing I discovered there is if you do a team switch from a pilot while still flying the chopper, the AI will simply land the craft even in the middle of the battlefield. Pretty smart eh? I thought the least it could do is stay up in the air...

    OFP Vs Arma SP Campaign

I've just finished the ArmA campaign for the first time... overall I feel it's average, and about half as long as expected. The campaign has never quite reached the fear factor in OFP (like the Everon retreat for instance). Only the "Dawn of Hope" mission came close to the near despair I experienced (All friendlies painted, used up my last M136 on the BMP before the harriers arrived... phew). And then, just when I thought the game was at a turning point in the last mission I got to "The End"... should've been written as "The End...?" LOL... There's obviously plenty of story material to go on with. I've played a bit with the editor, and I'm going to try the Perpetua campaign as well. Man, this game is begging for an expansion! I really do hope the next upgrade would bring us a new campaign Hell, I'd even be happy with episodic downloadable missions continuing where the campaign left off! Anyway, thanks for a pleasant experience. I shall look forward to the mission editing... and the new campaigns, official or not
