ArmA will not load....I am using Windows Vista. My PC Specs are:
Asus P5N32-Sli Deluxe SE Motherboard with AC97 onboard sound
Intel Core2Duo 6400 processor
1GB OCZ 667mhz memory
MSI Nvidia 7900GTO 512MB DDR3 graphics card
DVD +/- RW drive
SATA-II 250 gig hard-drive
Windows Vista Ultimate
The problem: Â Okay, before I bought the game I downloaded and installed the ArmA demo (which seemed to work fine until yesterday morning) Â Yesterday morning the demo wouldnt load and seems to give me the same kind of error as the full game is now giving me. I didnt think anything of it and went out and bought the full game....I uninstalled the ArmA demo (I have to say that it seemed to uninstall unnaturally quick!!
Anyway, then I installed the full game yesterday and it installed no problem. But upon running it, it gets to the stage where I see the row of tick-boxes on the screen, goes to a black screen where I can see the larger mouse pointer, then the screen goes completely black without the mouse pointer, then returns to windows and all I can see is a small window which says "ArmA has stopped working". Then thats it. thats all I get.
I have uninstalled the game (which also seems to uninstall unnaturally fast!?) and then reinstalled. Â I have tried running the program as an administrator and tried tunning in compatibility mode for XP. Â I have also reinstalled my NVIDIA and AC97 sound drivers. All the latest drivers are installed and I STILL get the same problems.
Any ideas ?
