Well, removing an unused controller (in my case the PS2 controller) resolved the issue. I hope it helps others, but if not then good luck and don't give up.

Someone at SimHQ suggested it may be controller related. I have a PS2 controller connected which I use for another game and it may be interfering. What the heck, tonight I'll disconnect it and see if there's a difference.

I'm having a similar issue. I'll have an RPG on my back and some sort of rifle in my hands. If I switch to the RPG, I can do it. But if I start switching to, say, satchels or mines and then back to RPG, it switches to the RPG but then immediately to my rifle. I only started playing last night and have had this happen both in multi and in single play. I'll be experimenting and researching this problem to see what it might be and will report back if I find anything.

I went ahead and posted on a related thread to show that something about USB is different in 1.30. Perhaps there is a simple work around to this?

This needs more attention. I think that people are likely to ignore us because not everyone is having USB problems. However, the fact that OFP is not ignoring all USB devices might give us a clue.

This may not be relevant, but I noticed another person post about losing USB joystick control because he had multiple devices hooked up. He says OFP will only read input from his USB steering wheel (a problem that he didn't have before). When I get home I'm going to disable joystick in OFP to see if it was trying to read my gameport joystick and thereby causing it to ignore my USB device. Who knows, perhaps a clue? Same here. I typically use MS Strategic Commander and it worked in previous versions. I performed all of the prescribed procedures to assure that my USB Root Hub and Host Controller are operating correctly. I also made sure that all necessary drivers are installed (both Windows USB and Strategic Commander). I also made sure that my device passed the connectivity test. My device works otherwise. Any ideas? I'm surprised that there are so few posts about this.
