I couldnt get a decent picture on that video clip, but if its what I saw on the news, its a video of a missile being fired, then footage of the wreckage, they didnt film the hit at all? That's the main thing that makes it questionable, whether or not that footage is actually them shooting the plane down. Its still being mentioned that they may have been SAS, they were pretty far out from the british area anyway.
-
One of the tabloids said something about them being SAS, but it was the Standard, so mabye that parts wrong.

Theres a couple of scripts mentioned in the readme Anyone figured out what they do? "[This,**] exec"\VME_PLA_Addons\Script\BeiZhang.sqs" "[This,"*"] exec "\VME_PLA_ADDONS\Script\BianHao.sqs"

Are the Force Recon units gonna be retectured into desert and woodland? I've been using the updated force recon pack, but they have the other textures so it dosent match. This version seems to have the same groups as the updated version, the original only had the 3 fire teams I think.

I think if security forces or the police operate in that manner, and it vbecomes standard practice, you shouldnt be suprised when petty criminals get murdered or innocent people get killed by the police. Â Iraq shouldnt be modelled on latin america in the 80's, if you start kidnapping and murdering innocent people to extract information from the guilty... its a slippery slope. Also, didnt U.S forces openly admit at the start of the occupation that they were detaining relatives when they couldnt arrest certain people. Â And if everybody in Abu-Gharib was a terrorist, how come groups of them could be relaesed en masse after the abuse came to light, they wouldnt have been let out otherwise. Â So either large numbers of terrorists were let out, or the U.S was holding people that it had little too no evidence on. Looks like there way ahead of you anyway:

I thought flame throwers were originally designed for use on buildings or bunkers, the fire burns up all the oxygen in the bunker even if the flames dont kill the occupants.

Those textures are something to do with COMBAT! addons, I have them all in one folder, and when its deactivated there missing, when its active, there present.

No, the film Commando with Schwarzenegger, best 80's action movie ever
-
Lol, I remember seeing that in Commando, I was gonna ask on the forum if it was a real weapon or not, now I know.

Not much to laugh about here, if they really mean that crap, an occupation of Iran would probably make Iraq look like a o.k place to be. Â More good news http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2005/01/16/2003219644

The Crusades were largley pushed by the Vatican as a way to stop European Christians fighting each other and direct their energies towards murdering non-christians. Protecting pilgrims in the holy land was a bit of a false pretext, most people who went to fight, went so they could steal or because they were forced to because they lived in a feudal society. If there is a god I dont think he hates man, I think hes probably indifferent to man.

I think Hindu's have a pretty good deal, every reincarnation is based on behaviour in the previous life and you get bumped up a liittle everytime, unless your a jerk. Â I guess the main reason im not religous, is cause I come from a european, christian country, so even though im not religious, my perceptions of religion and what a god would be are rooted in Christianity, even if its not intended. Â I think its more stuff thats been done in the name of religion and by religous organisations that puts me off, than the idea of having faith in something unsubstianted. Even if Jesus was the real deal, theres no guarantee that the bible is actually what he would have wanted, its been translated and re-translated who knows how many times. What happened to people born before Christianity? Â Or the people unfortunate enough to live in other parts of the world that Christianity wouldnt reach for thousands of years? Â Why does god need us to believe in him, shouldnt people be judged on their actions rather than the ceremonies they took part in? Unless your a convert later in life, your religon is chosen by your parents and the society your born into, you get no say in it, and yet people can be positive that there religon is the correct one. This is equally applicable to my own views on religon as I come from a not very religous family.

I guess you can put the article in context a little more, if you consider that Zell Miller's a loud mouth democrat whos been pandering to right wing voters since the Republican National Convention. Aside from that, watch Fox news if you truly believe the medias job is to make people feel better, rather than think about stuff.

Ukrainian border guards released
kerosene replied to Thud_and_Blunder's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I might be wrong, but i vaigley remember reading something on a forum or website saying they were disbanded. Not 100% on that though, so I hope i havent pissed someone off. -
This isnt a war quote as such: (taken from Time magazine) Some on the right call you the new Jane Fonda, and joke about what you'll call your exercise video. (Long pause?) Those on the right who say that disgrace the 12 years of service I gave to my country as a Marine. I love my country. I'll put my record of service up against anyone, bar none. If they want to have an exercise video then why don't they come here and say it to my face and I'll give'm an exercise video, which will be called, "Scott Ritter Kicking Their Ass."

Wait for Lizardia from CSLA, but dont your breath either, or Remo's afghan map, or the new map that got released with those Afghan units - actually that ones big so it'd probably be no good to you.

I understand what youre saying in principle, but WW2 (or 1 for that matter) were massivley different in not just scale and technology, but in the way they impacted society to wars that occured previously, A war that requires a draft, or could be looked at as a war to maintain your way of life affects the way people look at the war. Also you could probably expect much tighter media control in a war like that, and its already been pointed out that there are journalists and organisations that can be relied on the pump out the party line in any situation, the entire media dosent occupy one viewpoint. I think if there was a war that involved Iwo Jima sized battles, people's view's would be very different and people wouldnt have the same kind of sympathies and concerns they have about the war in Iraq, also Iwo Jima wasnt a heavily populated area, which is one of the key issues (for me at least) about the war in Iraq. No journalists is gonna start speaking up for the enemy in a war that could seen as a war of national survival.
-
Are there recorded figures for the number of Iraqi police or national guard that have been killed in action? I dont think i've ever heard a figure.
-
I really doubt after several years of war against a major power that launched an unprovoked attack against the U.S, that journalists would be too concerned about what was happening to the enemy soldiers.
-
All the world war 2 mods are doing that more or less though, its fair enough, they've been working on it for a long time so I guess they want to wait till the whole things done with the missons.

Hah, britains one of the most secretive countires in the world, our secrecey laws are insane, we have secrets over 100 years old, (presumably where something appaling was done in a british colony.) I dont know how it is in Germany and France, even now, its quite awkward to get stuff under the FOI, you nedd to jump through a few hoops, the U.S freedom of information act makes it look like a joke.

I like Lasers weapons, and gordys M4 pack is really nice too.
-
I wouldnt mind both, the baseball caps give them more of a paramilitary feel, if you know what I mean. But the Bush hat looks kind of cool too. Edit: what are the odds we'd post an almost identical comment at 1:47 in the morning?
