  1. Well I see that the thing we have in common is 64-bit operating systems and 8GB of ram, any coments from BIS? My Specs Windows 7 64-bit E8400 8800GT 512mb (186.18 & tried 185.85 Driver) 8 gig Ram 64fanatic your screenshots look exactly the way my game does.

  3. The graphics look terrible on my system, blury, missing textures, blocky models and glitchy. My Specs Windows 7 64-bit E8400 8800GT (186.18 & tried 185.85 Driver) 8 gig Ram The only thing that renders normaly is the "surface" of the water. When I press "Prt Scr" in-game I get a screenshot of my desktop not the game.     Tanks in ArmA

    Take a look at this silly video titled Waldsterben in ArmA, its of a tank driving trough a forest. It just speeds through the forest, sometimes at speeds that look like 50mph+ knocking trees down like stalks (or nothing). In fact it looks exactly like operation flashpoint would behave, except you couldn't drive through forests in ofp. I hope the developers tweak things by the time 505games publish it.

    I think I need to be the voice of reason about the "character switching" feature. This new feature is great and has no drawbacks as far as I can tell. As Batdog just wrote, it is an "option". To the people who dread being presented with this new option, if/when you get killed and you are presented with the switch character box, (this is my genius tip, get ready) PRESS the Escape key!!!!! quit and start the mission again

    There are a couple of things that worry me after watching this video, as already mentioned - the AI, DreDay made a good point about this too. The hardware requirements: the game at e3 was running on a Dell xps pc running in sli dual video mode (2x GeForce 7800 GTXs) 2 gig system ram and a Pentium D 840, a dual-core CPU running at 3.2GHz. Now towards the end of the video the view distance is talked about and it is said that the view distance is set to 1200 meters and it could be changed but it will go "slow".

  13. I have a mission where I want tanks to have extended (realistic) armour so I am using Cadet difficulty with extended armour. But as you know players can take about double the damage too, which I don’t want. How can I use cadet mode and have players with veteran style health? I 'm supprised bis didn't create two settings, one for vehicles and one for players.
  14. I have read posts which disagree with that, I'm mainly refering to rpg fire vs tank armour.
  15. Not tested but it should work RED I will try that, but does anybody know a way to kind of switch off exteneded armour for players wihile keeping it on for vehicles?
  16. Yeah that had already crossed my mind, but its far from ideal, the players would have shakey aim etc and would be healing at medi tents anyway.
  17. In one of my multiplayer levels, I would like it so the tanks have more realistic damage settings. How can I have extended amour without having to set - cadet difficulty on the server. As cadet also alows players to take a lot more hits, which I dont want.
  18. Hi I'm working on a small town C&H with a few NON-respawning vehicles on each side. So far I have already set up player spawn protection. But because the mission area is not very big I need a way to to respawn vehicles, only if destroyed in your respawn/safezone area by the opposite team. One of my ideas is to replace the destroyed vehicle with a better vehicle, as a punishment to the other team for destroying a vehicle in a spawn zone. Please help as my mission wont feel finished without this feature. ...Thanks...
  19. I have operation flashpoint + resistance + 1.91 patch. PROBLEM SYMPTON - Crash/freeze along with the sound screaching. FREQUENCY - After around 10 mins, sometimes less, sometimes more. OCCURENCE - While playing multiplayer lan games (4 players, dedicated server) I have not really played single player with my current system specs. Hardware setup Cpu - AMD Athlon xp2600+ Motherboard - Epox 8K5A2+ Memory - 1.5GB twinmos pc2700 (3 x 512mb) Graphics - Radeon 9700 pro Sound - Audigy Software/drivers windows xp & servicepack 1 directx 9.0a catalyst 3.2 VIAHyperion4in1 4.46v The things I have tried to resolve the problem are: Reinstalling windows xp and operation flashpoint Updating to Directx 9.0 Updating to newest VIAHyperion4in1 4.46 setting the agp aperture from 128mb to 32mb Alowing windows xp to control my virtual memory size Hosting the multiplayer game on my pc My pc works fine with all other games I play. This is so frustrating! operation flashpoint is my favourite game again since setting up a Lan at my house with my friends. Nobody else playing has crashed even once! I can never finnish a game Please Help.

    Ofp crash/freeze please read!

    I have solved it. My cou is overclocked and OPF makes my cpu get really hot, no clue why, it doesnt crash with other stuff . So I got a better heasink/fan.
  21. I'm playing a couple of multiplayer co-op missions with my friend where I would like to set the view distance higher. I have tried what this THREAD suggests  but with no success???

  23. I want to increase the view distance on a custom co op mission I download, I tried to open it in the mission editor in the game, but with no success.
