In Coop games when I fly I fly low, and there's always some dim-witted wannabe-paratroop who dosen't want to wait till I land, dies while I'm doing 200+ mph at 50 meters or so and then always says "WTF?". Everyone else who stays in till I've landed properly ends up fine <span id='postcolor'> you spend half an hour in the lobby trying to figure out how to chat, and when you finally get it, you ask how you can join the game. 50m... that aint low, u wanna fly low u gotta be less than 10

Hey, I have this exact problem, I posted about a month ago and someone put it down to video-card pre-renderring issues, their fix didn't seem to help. So having read your posts I will try simply ALT-TABBING or turning smoke off-on as suggested.

Fubar, no worries m8, I wasn't bad mouthing or anything... just wanted to state my case Kamai, taking out a threat (unmanned or manned) in order to advance to a target is acceptable, what I am referring to (and was stated in my post) is idiots who leap into their helos and blow the shit out of everything you have, most annoyingly your weapons crates. Its not a matter of protecting your assets/defending, with these sort of ppl playing its a matter of hiding from their indiscriminate salvos. I have no problem with people who use them to a tactical advantage. Some more effective AA weaponry would be useful against these clowns. As far as satchels to defend flags goes, It would be better to be able to dis-arm any you see in the vicinity before grabbing the flag.

O.K heres my opinion.... Spawn camping is killing people within their spawn areas.. it is NOT TO BE DONE. Some of the earlier attempts at making MP maps had people spawning near their own flag which made distinguishing this extremely hard, thankfully map makers are now placing spawns further away from flags and including safezones (an excellent idea). I was on the end of some blatent spawn camping last night where twice i was sniped within seconds of spawning, the guy argued that he was at least 300m from our spawn and couldn't possibly be camping it. The use of a sniper rifle to pick people off within their spawn area (no matter how far away you are) is NOT TO BE DONE. Base Raping is destroying everything within an enemy base, specifically unmanned vehicles in order to deny the enemy their use. This is also considered unfair play and is NOT TO BE DONE. n00bs flying helicopters armed with rockets are the major culprits. If a vehicle isn't manned... dont shoot it. Major Fubar.... your second example THAT WAS ME! If you'll recall, i was over your flag area (yes that mission has flags also). Your respawn (which included sufficient ammo crates and vehicles) was well outside my effective range (infact I couldn't even see it). I was providing cover for my teamates to enter and steal the vehicles. You were unfortunate enough to run directly from your spawn (in the wide open spaces) to your flag area... of course I am going to shoot you! The lay of the land gave you ample opportunity to sneak around, it was a forest hillside. Unfortunately for me, your teammate ([AIM] Sludge) was clever enuff to figure their was a sniper in the hills and used some TACTICS and STEALTH to sneak up on me through the forest and drill me with his AK. Good work on his part. I didn't tell you to go play CS, I told you "it's not CS" and covering your teammates advances is the name of the game.. TEAMWORK and COMMUNICATION win everytime (well 9/10 times at least)

I posted about two weeks ago the same thing, NO CENTERING FORCE, I hope BIS heard me this time and are furiously writing a fix for it now. I am still able to get hit/weapons forces but like you said, puddle... its like a limp dick!

In my experience, using the SCUD in MP games tends to crash the server.
-
Lt., next time i see you at GP I'll show you the submarine-helo BTW it's me.... Cpl. Punishment I just dont know what my real name is anymore
-
Two things really, One - my Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 has no centering force. I can feel hits e.t.c but its otherwise a dead stick. Two - I can land Helicopters in the water. As long as I make a gentle approach I can put it down and totally submerge the Helo (very handy for avoiding enemy), cannot move the helo underwater tho (would be even better for sneaking up on enemy).

To hell with the graphics.... .... what about the new netcode? Will it be a VAST improvement over the current, and will we need to purchase the expansion just to use it or will it be available as a patch? -
I wanna jump bak to what wobble said earlier (pg1 i think) Gun stabilisation Why is it not included in this game? its damn awkward to keep the barrel on target when using the optics and your driver is charging over hills.
-
I forgot to add also, it is impractical to have a belt of only tracer, it may look cool (and trust me it does, especially from a 20mm Aircraft cannon) but in order to accomodate the tracer compound the projectile is slightly longer than a Ball (normal) projectile. This extra length adds to the friction along the bore which increases wear and heat... barrels then need to be changed more often. It also is a dead give away of your position, much like a big neon sign that says "shoot me" above your head.
-
I agree that there are too many tracers in this. Individual weapons such as the m16, steyr e.t.c do not use tracer unless like was said earlier the last 3 rnds, so you know when to change mags. Support weapons (M60 - .50cal) Use 4:1 Ball/Tracer as standard. BTW... Western Tracer is RED not green, dunno about Eastern. I know, I'm an Airforce Armourer

Thanks m8, will give it a go. I'm using XP

Sometimes (not all the time) in a mission, my mouse pointer will slowly begin to lag behind my mouse. I move the mouse.... wait..... pointer/crosshair/weapon/turret/vehicle moves. Also, I try to chat and the type seems to be a couple of characters behind my typing. Any Ideas?
