regarding POLISH WW2 units I have a lot of blueprints, photos, schemas etc of polish equippement, tanks, uniforms from pre-war period, september campaign and Polish armies in France, UK, SU. I agree then showing both sides as equally strong is realistic and good for playability - If we call it "neutrality" I agree. If you call for showing conflict between two dictators from neutral point of view this is also OK, If someone call for "neutrality" in showing conflict between democratic world and regime something was missed by the way. In this case there is no neutrality. Bad guys are fighting with good guys and maybe this is like cartoon scenario but this is historical true. If someone think then reason for war from vietnamise side was the same ethical value as from american side - please go try live in system of socialist hapiness - like in North Korea. I survived half of my life in communist country - I dont wish the same to nobody. Of course - simple soldier - non regarding, american, german,russian or vietnamese in 70% is fighting not because of any political reasons - this is his duty as soldier, he affraid etc. Part of soldiers is brainwashed by media manipulation. But if we will start showing war as "neutral" - from soldier position loosing the difference in ethics. It will be not realistic. War is not a game and neutrality is not realistic. I think then showing both sides of conflict equal for many players may means then they are moraly equal. They are not. Soviet, Vietnamese, German soldiers, even if they fighted "for the country" they fighted on wrong side suporting regime who killed, emprisoned and persecuted millions of people. This is my opinion and this is the reason why I support not neutral traitor from Red Hammer campaign. I hope then I will never see "realistic" game about 2nd World War brave SS soldiers burning villages with theirs habitants.

I'm not sure if this is right Topic and if anyone mentioned it before but explosions in OFP are very unrealistic. - flash, explosion, smoke cloud it looks another way, much bigger and not in such hollywood style. I hope it will improve in OFP2

I dont know if this is proper subject and if anyone mentioned it before. important realistic improvement may be: - possibbility of weapon jam dependant on -- weapon type ( some weapons jams frequently) -- weapon use (weapon shoting nonstop jams more frequently) -- weather conditions (some weapons are sensible some like AK are not) -- tired or fresh soldier (some weapons are sensible for "user error" like STEN)

- bombs on parashutes (for missionmakers with moddificable by script time or height of explosion) - flash on parashute which is lighting even on ground (with modificable speed and time of light) - working bipod which inflict accuracy and mobility - working tripod - i.e. a team with Dshk - one soldier carry a gun, second one a tripod - they could then install the gun on tripod mount  or on AA mount - guns towed by infantry with animation of towing and installing like : -- maxim type 1910 machine gun on sokolov mount -- B-10 -- SPG-9 - some old guns used by vietnam partisans like: -- berthier rifle -- lebel rifle -- chauchat lmg - home made booby traps - multiturret vehicles what will make possible multiple weapon turets on boats, aicraft etc, multiple firing points on tanks (i.e 3 guns on T54 - in turret, AA gun on the turret, and driver machine gun) and it will extend moddability of the game

To wrpTool creators -> Will wrptool support creating islands based on real maps? As I notified the most problematic is object placing according the map. If it will be possibe to load scanned map in background it may be very usefull.

so called "BIS BRDM" - IS NOT BRDM! This is FUG - Hungarian armored vehicle called also OT-64. Please dont call this vehicle BRDM only because of BIS made this mistake.

Thank you all I thinked about solution working globaly in the game. If this is impossible I will try modify explosion in addon. Anyway standard explosions will still look like from "Rambo" class films.

Shels, rockets explosions all of them looks in game the same, like explosion of fuel cannister or gas bottle. Is there any method to make them realistic (cloud of grey dust etc)? How to edit explosion effects?

I found in /data/dtaext.pbo weapon descriptions This is the same place where original weapon images are placed. Switching weapon miniature is possible but how to do it for description? description=/dtaext/thenewone.htm ?
