It depends on a number of things, but assuming you have a decent video card, set it at the highest available. There are some issues with 2000/XP and refresh rates and nvidia video cards, so if you are using the above, say so. As far as decreasing the life of the monitor, I think that only applies to the older monitors. The newer ones are built a bit better. Since you have a 20", it can probably handle much higher frequencies than 85.

Of course, it was HIS fault he was stripped. No sense in punishing the Russians if it was a French judge at fault.

That's OK - you can't post to my poll anyway. It's true it's a judge question - but would it have been raised if the canadians had won? I don't believe so. In any case, once a medal has been awarded, I don't think it can be taken away, can it? What's ironic is that everyone knows the names of the canadian pair - Sale and Pelletier, but noone knows the russian pair's names. It's a sad statement on the world today.

Albert, I totally disagree about the losing steam thing. Sports, especially the olympics is not and was not used for that during the cold war. The east beating the west was almost as serious as a real war to both sides. As far as the ice skating thing - that's totally weak of canada to be making a stink aboot it. For crying out loud, if they had won, would they have made a stink about how the judging isn't fair, etc? So, they lose and then they make a stink about it. What about the poor Russians? They placed second in the past and NEVER complained. It's subjective judging and everyone knew that before they competed. It would not be an issue if Canada had won, so why is it an issue? The only reason: Canada lost. If it works for them, it's fair, if it doesn't it's not fair. That is stupid.
