ok, it works now!!! i changed my Geforce 4 mx for my old winfast geforce 2GTS/pro. the problems comes from my card. But the geforce 2 has a fan problem that makes it bugging when it's too warm (the screen becoming multicolored!!!!)

ok: i reinstalled my drivers and directx and now the test for direct draw works!!! but the test for direct3d failed for the first time... What can i do?

I MADE A MISTAKE: in DxDiag, if tests for Direct 3D are ok, it's not the same for those with Direct Draw: when the white cubes began to jump, it suddendly freezed as it did in games menues, and i was forced to shut down the computer by pressing reset button because, as for the freezing in game's menu, i can't use Crtl-alt-suppr no longer. How can i fix this problem?

DirectX 9.0c and the tests are ok. OFP configuration is the same as before i install XP (and it worked very nice)

no,i didn't because i was affraid i can't use the files in my backup partition anymore (which are FAT32). is it possible to format my first partition (using partition magic) in NTFS and then réinstalling my files and programs of the backup partition (which are in FAT 32)? thanks

yes, i did it. The problems occurs since i installed xp without formating the partition (with 98SE as OS). Could it be the problem? Note that this problem occurs also with other games: menu is freezing after 1 or 2 seconds!!! thanks for help.

since i installed xp on my computer, i can't no longer play to ofp. the game is freezing when i reach the menu screen. i have a p3 1ghz, 512mb RAM, a geforce4 mx 440. Could it be a problem with the graphic card?
