Just one question! Will you be using diff maps as planets and if so will you be able to use a gate to travel to a diff map while ingame? If so this would be one hell of a addition. Btw keep up the good work. -
Frame rate hit caused by jungle

I did an island simler! I used the jungle vegetation pack and clutter the area using 40% and i made it dam thick. It ran ok on my machine but not great (mine is about the same as Allie's except i have a E6600) due to shadows and shaders but i quit finishing it as i think it would be TOO heavy on mid range machines. -
Why cant all modders just get along!? Im mean its kindof getting like "mine is better than your's" i.e "my sounds sound like your's so take them out"! Guys modding is voluntary, expect ppl to use bits and pieces of of others mods. Ive tried many many mods for amra and looked into the mods them self's and some of the sounds are taken from other games but they keep it quiet because of actual lawsuits regarding EULA. Hell ppl can use my little mods all they want as long as they give me credit for them as some have! I was going to release several sound mods as the sounds came from games i own but didnt due to thier own scripting work and they dont seem to reply to pm's for permision. The arma community is great and freindly thats why im still here so lets keep it that way. Mods you dont like, dont use!! Keep it up Fromz great work. Well put, class!!!

Nice find Gnat! very usefull. I did use thinstall to make "search and replace" into a self executable bit like this. -

use notepad ++ and open about 800 (as it crashes opening about 1000) rvmats into it then replace png with paa to all docs open then save all then close all! 3 clicks and your done!! -
A question about heightmaps...

Its got full contrast but ill play further. About the min height ive tried 5,10 and 120 as posted on some some other .pbl files on the forums. 120 mind you seems to produce a slightly better terrain though. -
Hi ok i have my heightmap and it all works. BUT kindof having a small prob. Now when i import it to vistor its not at the height i want it to be. So then i change the .pbl max height to anywhere from 3000 to 10000 i know this is extreme but its the only way i can get my terrain looking as it was before vistor. Ive tried making the heightmap lighter in ps but still no joy. So im wondering if its possible to edit the height of the heightmap in wilbur at all or anyother program that does the job? And yes i have changed the height whilst making the heightmap in L3DT several times with still no luck. Also if i have the map set to max height say 5000 then i start to see limitations of flying a MH6 as it doesnt fly very high only halfway of my actual maps height. Thanks in advance Hedcrusha

Ok i think that the water idea wont work But as for the sky i got it working but only by replacing the textures in CA and pbo'ing them back up. Not sure why my config wont work. Not at home atm so i cant post my config but will tomos. If any one cares to help me.

Just wondering as i have an idea. Could i remove the water all together for my map as i seem to think that the skybox is a basic sphere and removing the water and changing the skybox texture would give the effect that ime looking for. Is it possible at all if so how? And also changing the sky texture is it possible too?

Sounds very good! I had that kindof idea but not sure how arma would handle being in space and using the land as a round planet then decending to the land. Also how did you creat a map with nothing i.e no water and land??

Ide would like to know this also! And also can we simulate zero gravity at all? I have a few ideas but need to sure that these things are doable in arma 1st.

Hi fantastic work there absalutely love it! Just a question will it be possible to travel through a gate and load a diff map while you see the worm hole vid, just to give you the feeling that youve traveled between worlds?
