these two pieces could be used in many ways as you said but when humvee are not in battlefield this pieces are used to hook the windshield (for in-base transportation as link vehicle for example) This method was not concieved to be used in battlefield when humvee moves over a hard terrain filled with holes and obstacles, cause its obvious that a humvee windshield is not a jeep one, and it´s not good to compare a humvee with a jeep in any way. Anyway it like to me and that´s all

The windshield folds on the humwv but unlike the jeep lacks the pins to secure it proporly, without modifcation. Â Its common to just remove the windshield glass or take off the windshield frame. Â Cause the glass breaks too easilly, and he frame is very heavy it takes two men to lift it if its got armored glass. Â It also contains a whiper motor, and the arm assembly for the whipers. Â the windshiled also folds inwards to the cabin for transport by truck or rail so the window doesn't get smashed. almost all basic humvee variants (even hard top versions) have two little pieces placed over the hood which allow to hook the windshield when is folded down with the help of two harnesses and without any other modification. This method allow to go with the windshield folded down without the risk of break the glass when the humvee is moving and without remove it (yeah its a little bit heavy)

Mmmm... Rudedog relseased his Bradley pack with the crew of a japanese guy of Battle Over Hokaido Mod without permission because he couldn´t contact him! just he put him in the credits as the original maker of that crew and no problem after that! You should try this Â

The protective shield was introduced in 1995-96 by o´Gara-Hess armor company for humvees in response of the high rate of injuries of humvee gunners during conflicts like somalia in 1993. Well Mr Reality, I know there are several woodland camo patterns. All what i said is that i prefer another pattern, one without black (more or less) that´s all, and i said that these new textures are very good and realistic. First beta textures was another thing. these were not so realistic due to colors and other details (as many others said).just see the other posts.

Just one suggestion Fischkopp. If you see real pictures, browning or any other machinegun is a little bit more raised from the top than your browning so gunner should have their arms raised aswell. i think the modification of this issue supposes add a new animation for gunner position... This is just a draw but here you can see what i´m talking about

My troops deployed on Tonal need humvees with mounted machineguns. We are suffering to many ambushes from tops and we don´t want to get out from humvees to shot down the snipers

yeah this addon could be great for Fischkopp's or BlackDeath´s humvees for example. (with a decent TOW launcher like one included in Wargames Pack)
