I'm looking to get Vista so I wondered if my good old OFP works with that. Anybody knows if it works with either 32bit or 64bit version of Vista ?

We're playing OFP in a LAN (8-10 players) and would like to use something like teamspeak or battlecom. I installed teamspeak and had approx. 1s of delay which is too much in flashpoint when you're trying a coordinated attack. Anybody got any better ideas ? I also read something about a built in voice interface in OFP, but I don't know exactly how or if it works. Any help would be appreciated !!!

A friend of mine plans to use his old PC as a Server for our flashpoint sessions (up to 8 people). At the moment OFP-server is running on my PC while playing (P IV 3.0Ghz, 1024mb RAM) and I can't see any lag. So does make sense at all to use the PIII ? I doubt it, I guess it will be more laggish then... What do you guys (and girls) think about this ?

I already tried reducing latency with this buffer setting (lower latency of course...)...I tried everything in TS I now checked the OFP "onboard" Voice-Intercom and it has absolutely the same latency as TS....(maybe even less) I finally tried Battlecom (not so good) and ventrilo, which still had enough latency.... I probably have to stick to the 1s delay and use the onboard OFP voice chat.

1 second delay is too long for a conversation or discussion. And 8 men can't sit close together to talk, either you have no great sound-experience or you can't talk to each other, that simple. And if you like 1 second delay, be happy with it. I don't like it and look for alternatives. And if teamspeak's latency is too high I will simply look for another program.

What a luck for the germans...but still they have 2 men in the Euro2004 finals...not all too bad....

It's well deserved for the Greeks as well as it's for the Portuguese... But what I think is much more shocking is that this whole tournament is a shame for all the "football-Nations" like England, Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany...those who dominated world league football for decades are now merely a shadow of themselves. And most of them are looking for scapegoats now, like the referee in the England game or Dutch Trainer Dick Advocaat...this is the most embarrassing part of the tournament. You loose, but well it wasn't your fault at all... Anyway, I hope the Greeks are gonna make it !!!!

Good point..... ;-) but this software is still a bit expensive for non-commercial use....but I bet in 2 month you will get it somewhere for free.... I really do believe it's not sold in the US (thats a bit shorter than "Northern America") because of this whole "war against terrorism" stuff going on there.... The US can't force BIS to not sell the software everywhere except in the US...and that's what's going on... by the way...I doubt that this software is not more of a danger to the world than a .357 in a kid's hands....(which is unfortunately reality...) Why do people here always think VBS is a game ??? Questions like "will there be campaigns", "will BIS reduce the price" just prove that some guys here didn't get the point on what this piece of software is all about... It's intended to be used by security and military organizations for training purpose. That's all. And the reason why it's not being sold freely in Northern America is just that it might turn up in the wrong hands. Imagine some terrorists training with VBS...sounds weird....still these guys went to flying schools to learn how to crash a 767 into a skyscraper.... So for all of you who are excited about this piece of software: Forget it, it's not for you. It's no game. If you checked it out, you would see that it's nothing funny at all. Wait for OFP 2... I'm looking for some multiplayer campaigns, but all I found were multiplayer conversions of the normal game or were 20 seperately downloadable missions.... Anybody knows of a good multiplayer campaign ?? (best would be in one file....)

I have the chance of getting this computer very cheap, might that be a good deal as a dedicated server for flashpoint (10 players....) ???

I know, it's rather macabre, but has ever anybody thought about creating some suicide bombers ?? For some kind of "War against Terror"-mod or so ?? Maybe also a suicide bomber in a car ? What do you think about this one ???

OK, but how much power must a x86 based dedicated Server have ?? Is 800mhz and 256mb RAM enough ?

I got an Apple Powermac 867mhz running Yellow Dog Linux on it, I wondered if it makes sense if use this computer as a dedicated server for flashpoint when playing with about 10 friends of mine... Can I expect any speed improvements from that ??

Ah ok, I didn't know there were any differences between ppc Linux and x86 linux...too bad....

I just wanted to know if people already had some experiences with this before I try it...I heard it wasn't all too easy setting servers up...

My problem was to use this mission in Multiplayer and add for example a briefing or whatever...I didn't know that the files from my users folder can simply be copied to multiplayer.... But munk's hint with PBO-decryptor worked....my older copy of that program somehow didn't work correctly

I tried to make some mission, but they're always saved as .pbo When I DEPbo them, I get a folder with a "Mission.sqm", but OFP cannot use this mission. When I try to start a new MP game, this mission shows up, but when clicking on it the program crashes with some error messages like "..."Y", expected "=" Anybody got an idea how to fix this or do I do absolutely stupid stuff ???

I read about this, so it must exist, but unfortunately I couldn't find any download link, has anybody got an idea where I could find this ???
