  1. Hmm...unfortunately it doesn't work...gotta find some other way...
  2. How can I move a trigger to the position of an object ?? For example, I try to let a chopper get shot down. When it is destroyed the camera should move around the shot down chopper, play some music or whatever.... I manage the trigger to be activated (not that difficult), but how can I move the trigger to the place where the chopper was downed Thanks !!!
  3. I got a Mac running OS X and I wondered if anybody here or at BIS thought about a dedicated server for this OS.. shouldn't be all to hard to program, as there is already a dedicated server for Linux, and Gamespy can also be used on Macs...and OS X is based on Unix, same like Linux... Anybody knows anything about this or maybe BIS wants to develop it ?
  4. Sometimes my OFP (Goty Edition, Patched to 1.95) crashes back to Desktop. (not really crashing, just goes to the desktop, no error message is displayed, game quits). Just happens to OFP, all other games run fine. I suppose it got something to do with the video card (Radeon 9800 SE) as I've read of other problems with ATI's cards here. Sometimes the whole system works stable for 3 hours, sometimes it crashes in the first 5 minutes... I already raised my AGP voltage to 1.6 (or 1.7...anyway 0.1V over normal) and I think it's running more stable at the moment, but I can't guarantee that, as I also changed my sound card (to a Creative Audigy) Anybody got an idea how I can make my system run fine again ? With my old video card (geforce3) everything worked absolutely fine. Fastwrite is disabled, AGP aperture size is 64mb...same issue when changing to 128mb.. Thanks already !!!! System Specs: Athlon 3200 Radeon 9800 SE 1024 mb DDRAM 400 Asus A7N8X-Deluxe Creative Audigy

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

I'm not sure but I suspect some of the Windows XP hotfixes or updates. My WinXP is now running without any patch and everything concerning flashpoint is fine. I can also play "Deus Ex" again. Probably it's DirectX 9, but I can't test that because you cannot uninstall DirectX9 (only with a new windows....)

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

Seems I got it fixed... I just installed a new Power supply (550W) and it runs fine....I also reinstalled Windows and didn't install any updates (not even SP1) and now it works !!!! Been playing for 2 hours now.....yeeehaaww!!!!! Still don't know if it was the power supply or the windows....

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

Well....that's my problem.... but I found out that one other game (Deus EX) also crashes, but this one shows an error message... But all other games run fine...

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

Hmmmm....I disabled HWT&L and all I got was a hard reset....very strange, didn't know a video card was capable of doing this.... What do you think of my Power issue ? Is 350W for a Athlon 2500, Radeon 9800SE, 2 optical drives, 1 HDD and 1 sound card to weak ???

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

I used no addons, just the official stuff...thought about that too, but unfortunately that wasn't the cause.... I also suspected some official Windows updates...but I uninstalled all, and it still crashed....

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

The W-buffer is disabled by default when using a card that doesn't support it (like the newer radeons)...but maybe OFP needs this enabled...I don't know.. The RAM works just fine, I doubt that this is the reason because all other programs work just fine...I also replaced the RAM and it also crashed no matter which one I used...

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

My buest guess about all this is, that there must be a problem with newer Radeon Cards...I know they don't support some features of flashpoint (like W-Buffer)...might be a reason... I'm using an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe, with nforce2 chipset and it crashes, therefore I doubt it's a problem of the VIA chipset... Would be great if somebody could find out what the problem was...but it must be OFP, as all other games run fine Soundcard is not the problem, it crashed to desktop with onboard sound and does it as well with my new Creative Audigy....

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

Thanks, but it didn't help....still gets back to desktop....I'm trying to do a Windows clean install now (or at least remove all updates...)...maybe that helps...

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

Hi there, thanks, I'm gonna try this one out. (is it "-nomap" or "-no map" ?) I also thought of my power supply being to weak...maybe someone could check this: I got a 350W supply and running a Athlon 2500, Radeon 9800SE, 1 CDR, 1 DVD, 1 Floppy, 1 HDD, 1 Soundcard. Do you think 350W is enough or would upgrading to 550W solve my problem ?
  14. How can I show instructions on the waypoints on the HUD ? (like "Destroy...", so I know where to go ?? Sorry, if this one has already been answered, but I couldn't find it on the FAQ or the search...
  15. Can't I change a mission to be always played as cadet ? Would make it a little bit easier....

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

I already tried without removing my sound card. Actually I bought it because I thought the onboard sound was the problem... Next I will replace the RAM, maybe that's the cause because I use mixed RAMs... And if all doesn't help, I'll get back to some NVidia Video Card... Do you know if Radeons are more endangered of having problems with this game than the geforces ?

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

It lasted for 9 minutes. then I got back to desktop.... Could this also be a memory or power problem ?

    Suddenly back to desktop ???

The newest drivers are installed. I just disabled VPU recover...let's see...until now it works fine....after 5 minutes no problem, have to play it now for some time... Why could VPU recover be a problem ? I thought it was a stability improving feature...
