i did ... 4 times (just resistance, ofp complete and i tried different update sequences) nothing is helping ...

yes i did, last night already ... and your informations didnt work for me ... the cd validation process seems to be working, its more likely a problem in the process themself ... if nothing works i'll take another HD and install win2k again for ofp ... thanks again for your FAQ projekt, avon ... it helped me alot already

thanks for the replies ... @hellfish: im absolutely sure ... its not starting after 1 sec., not after 30 sec. and not after 3h ... when i open the taskmanager during the gamestart i see 2 PROCESSES: flashpointresistance.exe and tmp76438... (something like this - i think this is the cd validation process) both appear for for 1-3 sec and disappear again without error message or whatever and once again: all ofp versions up to 1.75 are running!!! 1.85 and higher have all the same prob after updating @ miss avon: already checked your superb FAQs, but no solution for my prob there ... thanks for your support anyway ... maybe someone else out there, experiencing the same probs??? vibes, harry

just tried to install ofp/ofp resistance on a new system ... everything is working fine until i try to patch to version 1.90 or 1.91 ... after the patching procedure resistance is symply not starting anymore ... no error message - nothing ... its showing the small resistance logo and "crashing" back to desktop ... now, after the fourth try im finished ... please help me !!!!!!!!! thanks in advance, harrybsteel system: win xp pro incl. all service-packs p4 2,53 mhz msi mainboard chipset 845E geforce 4 ti 4200 lg 48x cdrw pioneer dvdrw ... system overall working perfectly

@ usmc: im not an expert, but i dont think so ... and actually for the realism theres no need to ...

of cause magnification has to be fixed ... as far as i know, marines are using 10x fixed ... army is using 5x and 8x fixed ... and: they are using different scopes (marines oval mil-dots with different sizes, army like in crunchyfrogs screenshot) with different mil-calculation ... i've got more information on that, but i have to look for it ...

@ usmc sniper sounds good ... do you have screenshots @ chomps this seems to be exactly what im looking for ... hopefully they release soon & with proper scopes ... @ acecube of cause, im deeply interested @ crunchyfrog where do i get this one, screen (in the other thread) looks good ... thank u all for the reply ... vibes,

as the title says, where can i find well done m24 and m40a1 sniper rifles i found something @ ofp.info but all of them are not even a bit realistic (like the hk pack is, for example) pre o2???addons ... a realistic sight would be great ... thanks, harry
