  1. Relax fellas ....there will be alot of pvp going on in the future....Arma is just getting to the point where it is playing good ....as in frame rates are improving. I see huge potential for PVP's as well as COOP. When the linux server finally comes out I predict a alot more servers and alot more PVP's.

    I luv a good PVP as I do like a good COOP. If you played OFP ....then you realize Arma is still being molded the same way OFP was....but Arma has sooooo much more potential.....at least thats my 2 cents. Be patient I think good things are aroung the corner yay.gif


  2. If you get their player ID and put them in the ban text will that stop them or can they get around it with out buying a new license?. Cause when OFP started thats how we would have to weed out the assholes. I know it took alittle bit but it sure paid off for us at the Fraghaus server in the longrun.

  3. Jordan...hang in there buddy this game will get worked out....trust me ....Bis and the community will get this going. I played OFP since the beta ...I have been through all the beta patchs for OFP.....This is the greatest game ever made in my opinion.....I understand how you feel ....but any hard core war gamer with a little patience....will be rewarded with the best war gaming experience. Please be dont get frustrated....It will get worked out. No other game can compare to the freedom of Arma...Sorry for bad grammer ...just got off work and had a few cold ones. This is the game I have always wanted OFP to be...I know other people will say different ....but this is only my opinion.

  4. Hi fellas ...Im running for my gaming rig for Arma

    cpu=e6600

    graphics=ati x1950 cf 512ddr4

    1024 pc4200

    Running Arma at norm settings

    postprocess = low

    Blood = high

    I can play Evolution 1.5d with VD= 3600

    terrain = normal

    I average around 40 fps

    I just built this rig and its the best gaming rig I have ever owned

    I luv my ATI


  5. @dan90f9 You must be flying with your mouse and if not and it takes you that long to turn you shouldn't be flying anyway. I also plane IL2 and you cant compare a flight sim to Arma. If you do that ...then what about the crappy land on IL2. Arma is a total war sim. Asfar as viewdistance you can have whatever you want in Arma ...you just have to have a computer that can handle it. You cant compare BF2 with Arma. What viewdistance are you talking about in BF2 it might have 300 meters max ...cause BF2 took 15 secs or less to fly over the whole map. Once the tools are released to the community everything will be great.


  6. I have also noticed that when i use the new update. You get a lag spike every few seconds ...Is there any chance of fixing this ...These are really great units and I have alot of missions I would like to use them on ...but until the lag issue is resolved I have to use a different enemy sad_o.gif


  7. What I mean is I was watching the 3 move out to the target .....as they were moving you could see each 1 while it was moving would jerk alittle like it was desyncing. I rebooted the server to make sure It was running good before I tried the tanks out. Also the mission I put them in has been played with the default Bis tanks and runs great. It only seems to be your tanks. Is anyone else seeing this on a dedicated server rock.gif


  8. Hi fellas ....Luv the tank ...but we are having a problem with it on a linux dedicated server. I just put them on Fraghaus and updated a mission I made aready with the new tanks. Now when 3 tanks were driving by each other they would warp alittle as they moved. So I guess I asking If you already know about this and is this addon dedicated server tested.

    Would there be any chance to make it so it wouldnt warp.....I really luv these babies and would really like to have them on the server ....thx for any help you can give and if your to busy ....then thx alot for a great tank ...I will use it on my own server cause its great biggrin_o.gif


  9. Been playing this coop with about 7 friends ....this game is not to hard to learn ...but it is soooooo much fun ....amazing graphics. Hunting in a wolf pack with your buddies is awesome ...I suggest all to try this great game.

    So you think its better to have a script instead of code in the triggers int?

    Im just trying to make it as cpu friendly as possible to avoid problems.

    Oh ...I forgot I named the 2nd trigger trig1. Then i can place the 2nd trigger where i want the plane to spawn.

    I think my biggest problem is figuring out how to make the targets random.

    The mission is going to be on Trinity Island....It has alot of good bombing targets already set. I have written down all the object Id's for what I want to bomb. How could i get a script to randomly choose 1...any help would be great ...Thx

  11. I am in the proccess of making a dynamic dedicated server bomber mission. Im going to simulate spec op forces with invisible targets and lots of sidechat. I figure this way I can

    have alot of targets but have them called up randomly so everytime you land and rearm your next target will be a random one.

    As it stands now I have enemy jets spawning through a trigger. Would it be better to do it through a script??

    1st trigger:

    Flanker = "RKTSu27" createvehicle getpos trig1; "SoldierEPilot" createunit [getpos trig1,pilot,"p1=this",1,"CAPTAIN"]; airborn=true This is in the on act field and a condition of this.

    activated by west present. using 2000 meter ellipse

    2nd trigger:

    I have a dummy pilot that gets deleted at the start

    I am a total noob to sripting so the above code is not mine. However it was ...Thx. Is this an efficient way to spawn jets or is there a better way. Any help would be great thx.
