Nope. It's just that the recoils are competely unrealistic.

PC Gamer UK (Jan 2006) - Armed Assault Article
galbaldy replied to chipper's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
The view distance is diameter based not radius based. For example, if you set it to 1000, it will only display units out to 500 Meters. In order to actually see 1000 meters in one direction, you would have to set it to 2000. -
The entire point of camo is to make tanks less shiny. Shiny vehicles will give away your position. That of course means you wont live for much longer. Keep the reflection for the aircraft but not on vehicles.

The roads look nice. However the houses look lke they're from half-life one. Is that to lower CPU demand?
-
You guys play ofp, but you're scared of a photo of a mutated fetus? Scientists don't seem to have problem. I thought it was cool.
-
Some one make a tree replacement like the one in FFUR quick. I don't want to use the old trees.
-
How are you going to bunny hop in ofp ? Combat happens at around 300 meters. You need jumping to be able to move around parts of the map that you cant walk across. And as for breakdancing, yeah they should incoporate it. I'll bust a move right after I complete the objective

If I was in charge of BIS, I would fire the guy in charge of marketing; it's in BIS's interest to promote their game. They should not be secretive.
-
People can jump in real life. Putting it jumping thus makes OFP more realistic. If simulation means anything to you, then you must put in jumping.
-
Use the new maps that came with FFUR. Those would make the video look good even with the old units.
-
Yeah, just release it with whatever scripts you have. They're going to be replaced by the mods anyway.

Who did the music in that vid?

Hey kylesarnik, did you finally get the pm?

Here are a number of reference sites I believe you will find useful: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v41/galbaldy/myredeye.jpg http://www.serwis-militarny.net/uzbr/sa7.php http://pvo.guns.ru/expo/interpoltech2004.htm Look under weapon systems for this one: https://naveodtechdiv.navsea.navy.mil/IraqOIG/iraqoig.asp

With a second MANPAD project in the works, I figured the community would like to know the status of this project.
-
I'm having the same problem. Also the RPG gunner cannot fire his weapon either. Also, the vog-25 round creates a smoke trail behind it IRL. Anyways, good work.
-
Does anyone have problems with sound? I'm getting low quality music and sound for some reason.

If you plan on the first releease being final, then you should equip all the rifles with the laser. Otherwise, just save it for later.

Personally, I'd keep the muzzle flash.

Most of the grenades used by the NVA were of the RGD-33 and F-1 variety. http://www.inert-ord.net/russ02i/rgd33/index.html http://www.inert-ord.net/russ02i/f1_ebloc/index.html They also had a limited number of RGD-5s (They came in during the latter portion of the war) http://www.inert-ord.net/russ02i/rgd5/index.html Altough I can't provide an example, the Viet-cong also had home made grenades made from coca cola cans and bamboo sticks. The RGD-33 and F-1 were already made by the liberation 1945 mod team, so they saved you some trouble. http://ofp.gamezone.cz/_hosted/lib4145/libprojects01.htm Here's another I found; not sure what it's called though.
