i have been playing single player OFP for ages with no problems.
I have recently bought the disc for 1.3 upgrade and then downloaded 1.42.
I am trying to connect to a multi player game through Game Spy and, every single attempt, 20 in all, when a game is about to start this happens: the gamespy window minimises. The OFP pop up window appears then disappears, long pause, screen black with OFP loader bar, the game aborts without warning or message wimdow. Game spy window maximises.
If I choose the multiplayer option from within OFP on the main menu the game aborts immediately.
Why would this be happening?
I am running 690 AMD athlon, have bags of RAM (500 +) original software and, although I have shitty 56k modem connection I have played a wide range of multiplayer games with little problem.
What's going on do you think?
