Nuclear power is also very convenient in space, since we can just jettison the nuclear waste to sun or deep space or to Jupiter or to a helicentric orbit and be done with it. Space is what is available in space. So we should just dump are trash on other planets ?

    The Iraq Thread

Blah ,this oil thing was like 100 pages ago.Maybe they want to take the oil fields because they are scared iraq will set them on fire again. Also someone tell me how iraq makes money. It's not like they are selling oranges to make lots of money.IS the media not covering their countless number of farm lands ? DAmn that biased media.DAmn them to hell. They sell oil.Oil is what brings the country money.Blah anything to make it sound like an oil war(even though it might be). Also iraq will be in opec, because if their not Lots of middle-east countries will get Piss. When is the UN going stop getting push around by iraq and say that's it.I mean they did sign the peace treaty deal that said they can't have chemical weapons. If they didn't US and allies probably would have went alll the way and got saddam. Most likely that iraq would probably launch chemical war though.

I just find the solemn statement of President Bush promising the continuation of the space program to be cynical and hypocritical considering the past efforts of his and all other administrations since Reagan to undermine the NASA's budget for manned space flight. At the same time you have the bloated (and growing) defense budget with totally useless and exceptionally expensive programs like the F-22 and BMD. Â It's just not the presidents though. It's most of american people, nasa isn't cheap and america people think it's an waste on some stuff they do.Which i agree with.If nasa was a world wide program they probably would do alot better.Like if every country just pay's nasa a little money. That also would probably be alot better for the world also. I heard of a satellite that nasa is going send up in space cost 2 billion dollars to make. It's going take pictures of jupiter moons. Now thats an huge waste of tax payer money.

    Zimbabwe train crash

It's not the people that died. It's what happen, you don't see this stuff everyday.Heck a train crash here happens all the time in america(probably 2 every year),it's only on the news for a day, a week if high kill count.Just like when that russia sub sunk.It was on news for months. If an afirca country creates something big,and never seen before and it crashes you will see it on the news.

sad part about the thing is.Media doesn't care what they do.But when something goes wrong ,they cover it like no tomorrow. it looks like a huge fireball going fast ,then it just breaks up in 3 or 4 piece. These people are DeAd

Plus if 3rd world countries keep getting these weapons they will never go away.

Between 1945-1990(?) how many nukes in those years did they set off ? I'm thinking america set off 2 nukes a year. Then i'm thinking russia did the samething when they got their nukes. Now thats 45 years of 4 nukes a year being setoff,so 4 times 45 would be 180.Now wouldn't this make the earth hotteR ? Soo if we didn't blow up anymore nukes we would be ok? Maybe that's why the earth feels hotter ? Ok, we have your theory, vs. the Scientific community's  Not a theory just an question..... How bout this one,In new mexico when they was setting off nukes in the desert,Did any of that sand turn into glass ?

These development costs are marginal relative the massive production that we have. Is it any real difference if you pay 100 € or 110 € for your new shoes? So what is that if you want to buy an sixteen thousands dollar car ? Soo it would be 1600 extra for that car.

You need money to advance, without money you will get no where. If lots of countries have to pay welfare, and other stuff to their people, they would bring down the R&D money. So how can we advance to better ourself without money. No one is going work for free.

It's funny that developing industrial nations that pollute the most (China, India, Mexico and so on) are the countries that are allowed to have the loosest standards under Kyoto (or haven't even ratified it to begin with). I also find it funny that the same people who championed Kyoto in Canada are the same people buying up coal and energy reserves in China. Coincidence? I'm all for H-powered cars and technology, so long as it's not too expensive and aids the environment. Tyler<span id='postcolor'> ÄŽ'm sorry to say that the US is the biggest single polluter and consumer in the world. So if Kyoto was such a crappy and insignificant treaty why didn't US sign it then, no harm done? It's much more concrete treaty than some environmental candies put up in the speech and really could slow down the inevitable global warming. I'm not an environmentalist in fact, that's why I rely on treaties that are enforced and controlled.<span id='postcolor'> Even if america did sign the kyoto treaty, the companies would just move more of their factories to china, mexico, other asian countries. My shoes are made in china.Pants/shirt made in mexico.Car made in canada and mexico, and melted together in america.Whats weird is there seem to be lots of japanese car companies factories, like toyoto. My computer is made in someother country. So sure it might stop making USA being #1,but don't think its going to go away. When there is demand, they(companies) will do anything to meet the demand.
