Hi - I got this game with a massive expectation of huge improvements over the amazing original 2001 (! game. I ignored the bugs of the original and had a great time playing the games for hours and hours. This new game has been a massive flop for me. I have an improved pc (AMD 2800 2.02ghz, 6600GT and 1.5gb ram) and hoped I would be up to spec on this game. I found the unpatched version to be buggy, odd to play and with poor audio. The game felt like the original just with some improved textures. Soldiers fail to obey orders, just doing commands seems to be impossible. Handling of the vehicles feels terrible compared to the original. Then came the inevitable huge patch. Which made the game worse! Textures now have virtually dissapeared! The sounds are just the original from 2001! All I can see is a mish-mash of hi definition trees and a few walls and then suddenly a pile of textureless vehicles, people and weapons. I thought 6 years would have been good enough guys to improve the original game but it feels like its gone backwards!! I cannot fully describe how dissapointed I am with the game and frustrated with it to the point of want to uninstall it! I wish I had never forked out the money for it in the first place. With games like this, no wonder people buy consoles! Come on guys, it was Flashpoint that set the trend for massive playable areas, huge add ons, unlimited new missions and vehicles. I think I'll dig out the original. frank

Hi all - having a massive problem - I've got the original version of FP; to which I added the Gold upgrade and the Resistance addon. Then I patched FP to the eyeballs with all the right patches. But I didn't patch Resistance. I have been playing the OfP campaign for a while now and it was going great. Then I joined a clan and they play using Resistance multiplay; so I patched up Resistance and also installed the Resistance Beta patches. Now when I click on Campaign in FP, the game crashes to the desktop - MP and editor both work in FP and so does Res. But as soon as I click Campaign; the game bombs out. What gives?? My Pc is an AMD 2800; 512mb ram; the game is on an 80gb hdd and a secondary scratch disk is set up on my d: 160gb; I have a Ti4200 128 NVidia card patches up and I have the latest Mobo drivers as 1942 wouldn't play without them. So what's up? Also it's a winXP machine. Everything worked until the patches for Res were added. I don't know if it was the beta ones that did the damage or the 1.91 one - I think I am 1.96Beta on Res. I think I have the two Red hammer and OfP campaign mini patches that came out for patch 1.91 installed - if I try to run them now, they report an "error in the patch itself; corrupt upon download may be" it says. This only occurs if you have already got the patch istalled from experience. Any help would be great! thanks frank

Hi there - I have bought several Op Fla box games and when I tried to install patch 1.46, I got errors back. So in what order do I need to install everything? I have a) Op flashpoint the original b) Gold upgrade box with Red Hammer, the stragegy guide and upgrades to Upgrade 3 c) Resistance boxset. So what do I need now in order to play online? Also Resistance talks about hi-res graphics - is that for the ENTIRE game or just this add-on? ta frank
