I now have the players showing in the group section of the briefing. I have made a work around by giving the players a name p1,p2,p3 etc then moving them to cargo. This works but is not ideal. Here is a link to the beta if you want to have a look. Yes need to have a pool of weapons that can be assigned rather than having a fixed weapons loadout.

I am having a problem assigning weapons to the soldiers in the squad. In the description file I have a list of weapons and ammunition available to the squad members. The problem is the members of the squad need to start from a flying helicopter. When I do this the “group†section of the briefing has no players listed making it impossible to assign them weapons. Is there a way of getting the XYZ coordinates for a player in the editor? What I want to do is move about the buildings/map and when I find the position that I want for the soldier/item to be placed get the XYZ coordinates so that they can be added to the script.

If someone has been voted in as admin is there a way of removing there admin status apart from getting them to type “#logout� I ask this as I admin two servers and if I turn the vote feature off the players are stuck with the standard rotation (causes problems when 20 people are on and an 8 player mission comes on). Also without the vote if a TK’ing player enters the server there is no way of kicking him/her until I or another admin joins the server.  So I need to to keep the vote but be able to remove admin off somebody who has been voted as admin when an official admin joins the server.

I'm doing the same m8. But have two servers to upgrade I did find that the V1.04 server patch will work without the updated files if you don't use the verify signatures option in your config. I am running like this until the upload has finished. I haven’t had any crashes or connection problems so far. I hope this helps any other admins while they are uploading.

Myself and other server operators are still waiting for the 1.04 update. Where is it? Even if there is no client update we need the server update. FFS have this ready for the morning. If you don’t you will have a lot of disappointed customers who don’t have any ware to play. What do you want us to do? DL it from a bit torrent site or what. I have brought two copies so far one retail Czech version and one download German version. Do you really want me to buy another version and spend several hours uploading it? Sorry even this wont work as you haven’t issued the 1.04 server.exe. I am paying over 100 GBP to host your game each month so please pull your finger out and get the patches out now. If you think I’m whining you should be on my MSN!!!!

Kikinchaz There are loads of f***ing servers ready and waiting for you to play on. The problem is that nobody has any idea when a patch will be available to upgrade them so that you can play. Two weeks is the nearest that I can get for a release date for the 1.05 patch. With any luck one will be released in the morning if not you are going to have to play with yourself for a week or two. BIS can release a 1.04 patch for the servers but nothing has been herd from them. So until a patch is forthcoming I’m sorry but you won’t have much of a choice of servers to play on!

So all the 1.02 servers are obsolete! I don’t care about the 1.05 patch but give us the 1.04 so the new players can play on our servers. What’s the point of a mainly online game if there are no servers to play on? We will have 100+ 1.02 servers waiting for players in the morning with no traffic. And a few people trying out the multiplayer missions with half the world trying to logon to there home PC. Do us all a favour and at least publish the 1.04 patch.

Can you log in on 1.02 servers or will BIS release a patch in the next day or two so that we can patch the servers and the 1.02 client installations?
