ive played CTF in ofp since March 2003, had more fun with this game than any other full stop. ArmA is pants as far as i'm concerned.....tried it once & uninstalled it, then 8 months later I re installed it to give it another go.....its uninstalled again lol as for ofp now, you aint going to get people back into the ofp community playing if you are always playing the same shitty desert maps over and over again...ffs its so boring. Back in the day I remember more of an assortment like St P and Drop Zone every night lol. But seriously players seem to have lost the skills of being able to play any map on any island....from fast paced maps down the the slower paced maps. Mr All Rounder seems to have left the building (gonna have some ass facing upto me now wanting to prove their skills lol)

Ive read posts on how people are either loving or hating ArmA. Would like to see some statistics now. Love it? Hate it? Undecided? let us know....

well m8 you must be used to playing with shit graphics then (no disrespect meant), i like high detail in my games and i CAN get the high detail when i crank the resolution up but then as you can imagine the frap situation aint good. but as i said above i was looking forward to the OFP experience but with better graphics, Armed Assault is not OFP and in my opinion does not have the feel of OFP at this moment in time.

ok i eventually got the game   or did i mean  if i could i would cry, just not all i hoped it would be. i'll be waiting for UK release and hoping that patches and fixes will be released to make the game play more like ofp and more playable, that was the whole point of the new game i thought, 'ofp with better graphics'. The game looks like Black Hawk Down, Americas Army style. My experience may have been the way it was because i need a better spec PC to play it on a higher res and settings (but i dont think so). P4 3.2ghz...1 gig ram...Nvidia 6800 Armed Assault is an appropriate name as Flashpoint 2 would not have been as appropriate. (this is my personal opinion people, you dont have to like it).

so there is no transportation of post in Germany on a Sat and Sun? Post Office is 7 days a week over here, we dont have post delivered to the door on a Sunday though but peeps are still working. p.s on the 29th I had an email saying that ArmA had been dispatched, excluding Sat and Sun thats still 5 days

i havnt recieved my copy from Amazon.de yet either. On website it says dispatched on 29th Nov and has given the delivery dates from 2nd Dec - 11 Dec wtf it takes 2 days for me to send a letter to Hamburg from UK and visa versa.

hey guys, i heard from my mates, g/f's, brothers dog that if I have the German version of ArmA and install the German to English language fix that the patches that are being released will not work correctly.... Is this true???

Thats something else ive noticed reading through the posts of co-op players.......you are soooo serious, get a life and get a sense of humour eh I bet you guys draw battle plans that you send to each other and when you play you carry a plastic bag to shit in lighten up peeps, life is too serious, you guys probably have a life expentancy of 45 yrs due to high blood pressure etc. You can put CTF down as much as you like but its not going to change the fact that you need more skill and practice if you're going to hang with the big dogs in the tall grass. Thread was called 'ArmA dissapointment - CTF gameplay' last time I looked. So peeps coming in and posting on how much they think that CTF is not a part of OFP/ArmA is not appreciated. This thread is for all to read but is aimed more towards CTF players and their thoughts on the changes other CTF players have experienced with the new game and how it will effect us as a community. I havnt given my personal opinion on co-op's etc but as others have given their personal views on CTF i think i will....My personal opinion is that co-op's are boring, they are ok to play from time to time with friends when you're just chilling and want to come down from some fast paced CTF action. Most of you co-op players wouldnt be able to hang with CTF gameplay just as most of us CTF players wouldnt be able to hang at your standard of play. You may have g/f's who look like pigs but hey as long as you love them thats all that counts, just like we CTF players love playing CTF, we dont want you to love CTF we just want you to understand that we love CTF and that this is our personal preference so quit slagging CTF off homos, live long and prosper ho's!

as I said above I havnt played ArmA yet, just going by what ive read in other threads. cant give my personal opinion yet   i just hope that ArmA doesn't turn out to be some fit looking bird who's shit in bed   but seriously, i hope that if it isn't upto scratch patches will soon follow to correct its downfalls in CTF - if it has any Â

thats your opinion, if you prefer slow paced co-op then great, good for you, enjoy! CTF players are a different breed. We will agree to disagree me thinks

Ive only just got around to reading this thread but i'm with Poison all the way....i'm an avid CTF player and i will be soooo dissapointed (and so will many others) if the player controls slow down the game play. Someone posted earlier that there are plenty of other games out there where we could play a CTF no other game compares with OFP CTF, ive been playin ofp ctf for nearly 4 years, its fast paced at times (depending on the map) and so much fun. Ive even ordered my copy from Germany and i know of others from US, and accross Europe who have ordered from Czech to get their copy asap. I dont play co-op's or cti's, does this not make me an OFP fan? Long live ctf in ofp and i will find out soon for myself how much the game play has changed.

Could I just ask the question (now that ArmA has been released) how pro active are BIS going to be against the cheating element in ArmA as cheaters almost completely finished off OFP in the CTF community??? In the T.*.* forums they already have a section up to begin hacking/cheating in ArmA. Do we not have some way of finding out where these guys live? lol (j/k) (i thnk).

how is the movement of the troops? do they still move as in ofp? weapons fire, is this the same as in ofp also? (does it have the same feel is what i mean)

couldn't agree more brother, alot of people in CTF are doing that at the moment so they can see the enemy easier. Although its not a cheat, it aint really fair and it is sacrificing part of what the game is all about, graphics.......
