  1. Great News, I have just finished making the Stargate Daedalus class ship model, that should be in-game this week. I have also released a newer version of the Puddle Jumper from Atlantis. You can find it here along with screen shots of the Daedalus, more will be released this week and I might release the Hatak too (if I can fix the weapons) no promises though http://www.digitalae2k.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Pages/News.htm Please note that these are early versions and I will improve them in the future, I am also not trying to compete with anyone else, I simply like stargate and want to release some addons, for fun only. These are not supported by MGM or any other company.

    Hi All Sorry about the lack of updates, I have still been working just slowly. The Atlantis model is looking much more like Atlantis and a new picture will be up this week. So far the 3 main piers are done and 1 of the smaller piers is done too. That leaves the central pier and 2 smaller piers to go, which I have already started on. The buildings will be released at a later date, this way you can customise the city to fit what ever scenario you like (however the model will come with some towers etc). I still need to test this ingame when the model is complete, because as you know it is a huge model, split into sections. So more news to come soon.

    Hi Blazin I didn't create the released F302, Jaffa or death glider, so I'm not sure if they work in multiplayer, but I guess they do. I don't play OFP online so never tried them on there. The addons I am making have not been tested online yet, but I will be releasing them for people to test both on and offline. If there is a high demand for them to be multiplayer compatable, I will if possilbe add that feature, might need some help with that though cause as I said I don't play it online so I'm not sure of what would be needed. Hope that answers your question

    Hi all Small update, didn't get as much done this weekend as I had hoped, but I have started on modelling the Jumper bay of the tower and some other rooms (more on that later), the jumper has also recieved some small changes to the hull and interior. I now have some better pictures of the jumper so there may be alot of changes to the details on the hull soon. Good news is I'm taking some time off work so should be able to get more done over the next few days, and I will be posting up pictures and a possible release soon

    Good News I sorted out the problem with the pods not opening together, so now you can open the weapon pods as one and the engine pods as one, still need to make it so the drives in the engine pods move down then side ways and set it so you cant fire while the weapon pods are closed.

    Hi Im not really sure what to do with the speed of the jumper just yet, at times the jumper in the show goes faster than a jet and at other times (as seen in the latest episode) goes much slower. So far I am thinking about adding a script so that the Jumper goes really slow like 20mph while the drive pods are closed and when they open you can fly from between 20-1000mph, but I think for those speeds it may need a VTOL script. I also don't want the ships to go way too fast because I think that you take the gameplay away when you fly over the map in a few seconds and the other players don't have a chance to shoot you down. I think this addon will be one of the more complex addons because so far I have seen the shows Jumper use: Cloak Shield HUD Sensors Submarine Opening Drive pods, Weapon pods, rear door and interior door DHD Increase the inertial dampeners or weight (would like to add this to add mission scope) and probably much more, oh but I won't be adding time travel not much use for that and can be done in mission planning anyway. so these will take time to script. So far I am having trouble getting the drive and weapon pods to open with only two commands, but I think I have figured that one out and just need to test that tonight. Any suggestions are allways welcome

    Hi All Sorry for the lack of news recently, I will admit I haven't really wanted to work on the addons much, but that said thanks to a small break from moddelling I'm back and with good news. The Puddle Jumper now has working animated weapon pods and drive bays (still need to be aligned properly), so shouldn't be too long for a new release, John has also revamped the textures and I will be looking at those soon. Now that the latest seasons are airing in the US I have been able to get some good shots of the Ori, Ancient and Wraith ships so more to come on them soon, not too mention the Assuran (replicator ships). So there should be more upto date news from now on

    Hi all Sorry I did want to release a few pics of the current work last weekend but didn't get a chance to work on the addons over the weekend much, this weekend I'm doing my first skydive so after that I should be able to release some screens of some work along with the first screen of my newest addon which isn't much yet but I can give you a hint to what it is; think Daedalus size x 10, this will be made as a static object with weapon points, probably only for the time being and will likely orbit high in the sky. Release wise: The next test addons to be released will be the Hatak and X303 as a few people have requested these over the last few months.

    Hi all Sorry about the lack of news but still haven't had much free time, but I did start work on a new Wraith Dart, bit too early for any progress pics but it does look more accurate compared to my first one. A bit of work has been done on the Atlantis Control Station (the replicator weapon on Dakara). Thats about it for now, but hopefully two weeks from now I should have alot more free time to work on the addons.

    Hi all I haven't really had the chance to complete much work on any of the addons lately but don't worry I will be continuing production soon, all thought I will be working on these addons, I will most likely be creating these for Armed Assault, however I will wait untill this is released to make the final judgement on this, so they may still be released for OFP too. Good news is my Machine is working again and as far as I know I didn't loose anything, so as soon as I get some free time I will work on some of the addons and will hopefully release a working X340 and Hatak for you all So it's not dead or anything like that and sorry for the wait

    Hi all Sorry about the lack of news recently, my Windows installation became corupt, so I have had to re-install Windows and haven't got round to putting OFP back on yet, but it should be back on by tomorrow by the latest, just as I was starting to make the Hive ship too. So far I plan to make the Hive ship purely static untill Armed Assault comes out simply because of it's size, but if I can get this to fly in OFP then I will revise that. I'll post some more news soon.

    Well I' thinking of making the Hyperdrive in either two ways, 1 have it create a small 3d graphic tunnel in front of the ship so that it simulates the hyperspace window and have a script that accelerates the ships speed in a direct line. the second idea was to use a script that simply transport the ship to a location on the map, so it skips the graphics and just puts the ship at the new location. One other feature I am thinking of adding is to use a script to change the location of the get in option, so that you can kind of summon a beam up within a range of 1000m around the ship, Just ideas so far. I will hopefully add the option to rotate the commanders chair during flight so that you can see the aft of the bridge while in battle too. The turning will be sorted in the next release, also sorry for not adding the sound, I will add that and hopefully release that as a small update soon along with powerfull weapons for you. My next release should be the Jumper with animated pods and improved model and maybe an Atlantis Outpost with Drone Chair. What does everyone think of the model, wasn't sure if that is the right size, seems right compared to the Jumper.

    Hi all Well here is the Alpha release of the Daedalus Class or X304, please note that this version is an early test release and does contain bugs, these bugs are currently being fixed and additional detail and features are being added to the addon (this does not represent the final version). Unfourtunately the current version was not ready for release so I have released this version untill the current version is ready for beta release. The Second version contains a different flight model and additional weapons, also Walmis has shown me his Shield, which he is working on so hopefully that can be added to the final version when it is finished. The Daedalus or X304 Class is a Battlecruiser class ship from the Stargate series SG-1 and Atlantis, it was designed to replace the Promethues or X303 Class (this ship is huge). http://www.digitalae2k.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Downloads/DAE_Daedalus.zip Known Bugs: Flight model tilts to the oposite side that you are turning to. No Collison or Direct Fire unless you fire at the base of the model. Early Textures. No Commander. Only 1 of the 3 Weapons. No Docking of Jumper's or F302's + No animated Hanger Doors No HyperDrive No Shield I am releasing this addon because a few people have asked me to and I also need help with this and other addons, so releasing this may gain interest in the addons and hopefully I might get some help or constructive comments that will allow me to finish the addons

    At the moment I am still having problems changing the flight model and getting the hit points and geo lods to work. So I know that you's have been waiting patiently so I will release it as is for the moment and will release updates as I fix the problems. So it should be out by Sunday Please note that they will contain bugs, but these are being slowly repaired and the models are still receiving some improvements (but comments are allways welcome) I am still looking for help with these addons, particularly with the textures and anyone who has good experience with Lods and config files. I will also have the first shots of the Atlantis Control Room for you all this weekend.

    Yeah the Jumper still has a lot of work to be done on the structures and could do with some optimizations.     Well small update today, work is still progressing on the X304 and X303, the Replicator model was a little too detailed for my computer and OFP, so I am also making a lower detailed version which is nearly done. I have also started work on one of my largest addons, here's the first pic http://www.digitalae2k.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Images....ire.jpg Yep, it's the Atlantis Central Spire (only the top part done so far), I am hoping to add walkable areas such as the control room, drone chair (yep you'll be able to launch drones) and jumper bay (with jumpers) to it and yes after this is done I will be working on other areas of the city as long as I can get it into OFP In total there will be upto 3 towers made, Atlantis Spire, Replicator Tower (as seen in "Progeny") and Alteran Tower (as seen in "The Tower").

    The Daedalus and Prometheus hulls have received a large increase in detail, still too early for some shots but they should be done soon, still having problem with their scripts though. The puddle jumper hasn't received much work yet, mostly because Walmis's version has better features and looks better too however I will release another version of my jumper with the retracting pods etc in the future so you'll all have something to play with until Walmis's version is complete. And it wouldn't be news without some screens, so here is my latest model, the Replicator (small bug), currently in development http://www.digitalae2k.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Images....tor.jpg And yes it is in true replicator form, it's made up of individual blocks, so hopefully they won't start to eat my computer

    Unfourtunatley I have decided to delay releasing Daedalus and some of my other addons until I resolve some issues with them, I am also improving the models so they are more detailed. Hopefully this won't take long but it will mean they are of a higher quality upon release. The Prometheus has recieved a large face lift and has a more detailed hull, bridge and should now be the right scale, I'll release some images of it when I finnish adding the final details to it along with some small hull improvements to the Daedalus. I think Walmis is right about the Geo lod causing the problem with the Daedalus flying, so I should be able to fix that this weekend and have more news for you all then (fingers crossed).

    Yes Shield would be great, I've played round with a few ideas to make a shield in the past, with not much luck. I tried using a seperate model which used a geo and fire lod for the shield with the end of the turrent or gun pointing just out side of the shield so it could fire, then the geo and fire lod would stop the bullets or people from passing through, this worked some times against AI opponents but most of the time they couldn't see past the geo lod, also couldn't get it to work round the size of the ship. Nearly all of my ships would need a shield ability, including the puddle jumper which I want to give the option to switch between shield or cloak. Any help or advice would be great. How big can your shield go, would it cover the ship?

    No the Prometheus is fine, no problems with that, Daedalus has the same config as the Prometheus, only differance is the X304 is bigger but had the same problem when it was small too. I'm aiming to release the X303 by Tuesday as it still needs the bridge to be finished and the weapons added. I will try and release the X303 and Alkesh at the same time as both of these work fine. So not all bad news

    Unfourtunately there is a bug in the Daedalus, which causes it to fly strangely (tilt to the left when you turn to the right and the opposite too), so I might not be able to release the ship tomorrow as planned. I'm not sure what is causing this and have had no luck fixing it yet, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated AI seems to fly it ok though, I think it's because of the size. Because of this I will try and release the X303 (prometheus) instead (may not be till the middle of the week), this still needs some work. However if enough people (say 10) want me to release the Daedalus as it is at the moment (with the flight problem), I will release it as planned for tomorrow night. Please note that this is an early version though so it does contain basic textures and other bugs. So if you do want it released tomorrow or don't want it released until the flight problem is fixed, please post a comment. If any one can help with this or the other addons or would like to use these addons in their mod, please let me know Sorry for the bad news

    I have just finished modelling the Daedalus Bridge, now it's on to texturing and testing it in game, I've added 2 images of the finished bridge model. So whats next, I'm going to: add some detail (hull plating) to the Daedalus external model finish the Prometheus, Alkesh and Hatak Bridge models and texture them Then I'm moving on to finishing the Atlantis Outpost and Atlantis Tower (which can both fire drones (they work too). I will be releasing the Daedalus (this will be an early version and not the final release) this weekend and maybe more, not going to say what day though yet, keeps the suspense going

    Well another small update today, I've added two more images of the Daedalus bridge WIP and have started work on a new version of the Tel'Tak (Goa'uld cargo ship).
