Do any of these WWII mods and addons have any plans on making a set of HD units? I love making WWII missions, but I am annoyed that all my rifles are laser accurate and so are the submachine guns. Ambience instead of usefulness is hard to achieve with MGs. So, will there be HD units?

Ok, I make a script or something and save it as script.sqs for example. However, the program (wordpad) always saves it as script.sqs.txt! I can never make an SQS file! Notepad does this too. Chris's OFP editor doesn't work, whenever I double click the shortcut it appears in my task bar but does not show up on the screen! I can't find any other script editors. Please help me!

Hmm, thank's for the help with COE. That might be all I need, but it would be good to know how to fix the other problem with notepad. -

That's what I thought too blanco, which is why I said "It shouldn't be this difficult!". I could make .sqs's fine with notepad on my old computer, but not on this one. Maybe it's because of Windows XP? -

A damned respawning script with instructions

Respawning is probably one of the best tools in the game, and yet I've never come upon one that actually explains how to edit it. Such as having ;The below script does this on every line above a bit of the code. There are idiots like me that can't figure out how to make AI respawn in SP. I can make them respawn in MP (although they always just spawn with an M16 or AK74 with one clip, annoying), but not SP. -

I tried Doolittle's respawn script and it doesn't work. I put the 4 files into my folder and did everything the manual said. When a soldier who should respawn is killed, it says scriptname.sqs not found. I tried changing the trigger to say "respawn.sqs" but I just got a bunch of weird errors. Createunit didn't work, either. I put it in the unit's init script, but it just respawned a guy with an M16. 3 clips, though, but he also didn't go the the WP he had been assigned. Grrrr.... -
I've made several topics like this, and I recently joined the Unsung mod. But, seeing as how I have to learn how to make addons to be part of them, I don't want to be with them. I can barely figure out how to make a crate with a tutorial, let alone model something or whatever. I'm just a simple mission maker. So, are there any groups or mods out there that need one?

OFP could use some WWII Russkie tanks. There is only one pack I know of, and it is a bit...dated, even though it contains just about every tank the Russians used. They are all pretty ugly, and they only come in dark green, so no snow missions.

That's what behavior is for. Stealth would have him stop complaining and just wait. Combat would have him look for close medics but not run towards enemies to get ammo. Aware and Safe would have him just do what he wants with ammo or medics.

The only time when I find the keyboard restrictive is in flight sims, where you often have to manipulate your aircraft to the fullest. But it will be a long time before the mouse and keyboard will ever be anything but the best for FPSes.

Agreed. Didn't read all the latest posts, but are you going to iron out the bug where you can't change leaders, or where when you swtich to the group leader of another group, but the group leader has been killed you get placed under 2's command? These are frequent bugs, it would be lovely to have them fixed.

I'm really mad at ECP! Whenever I try to play a campaign with it, everything works fine. Until I turn off my computer or exit out of OFP, then when I try to start it up again, guess what? It gives me some crap about how it can't find item 6 or something, then CTDs. How can I get my game back! Also, can I find DR Sounds somewhere standalone? ECP lags my computer down, but all I really want is the sounds.

Eh, I don't think people understand. What I want is a mod group that needs a mission maker. Unsung needed addon makers more than mission makers, and addon making just seems far too complex. o2 keeps crashing on me for some godforsaken reason one time or another, and I can't even make a crate, let alone something advanced. That, plus I have no clue how to texture something. Its nothing personal. You just said that you needed a mission maker, and then you turned around and demanded for me to make addons, too. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, but I said that I want to make missions, not addons. With that said, are there any mod groups that need a mission maker, or would like another?

In the start of the movie, you see the militia leader giving out weapons to his militia after the guy holds the phone up to the helicopters. He himself picks up this awesome looking gun, it looks like an AK-47 but it is a LOT shorter, only a little bit over a foot long I'd say. Does anyone know what this weapon is and if there is an addon for it?

The link you posted didn't work. I guess I'll have to start the campaign over again  Nevermind, I downloaded the DR sound pack but it is definetly NOT the one used in ECP. Can anyone provide me a direct link?

If a persons ping is causing them to have an advantage, intentionally or unintentionally over other players, or if it is degrading gameplay and fun, then the person with the high ping needs to leave or be kicked. Obviously, if they aren't having an effect on gameplay, then they shouldn't be kicked. But people who pay more money for connections, or have more servers in their area do indeed deserve more priveleges than a person who doesn't. Its nothing personal, but if you are messing up a game then you should be booted.

Plus, not everyone's system can handle nice vegetation, and the ECP mod notably brings down the amount of action you can handle on the screen at one time. Operation Flashpoint is an old game, so older computers can run it well.

From what I can see, Drow has mentioned nothing of his PMs, which is the way it should be. Spencer, by constantly posting about his PRIVATE Messages, you are making them Public Messages. You are the one in the wrong. If you would stop trying to make Drow look bad by turning private things into public things so that you can get some cheap shots in on him, this thread wouldn't need to be locked. After all, you start all of this flaming.
